  1. So not true. Let's correct that: every person thinks they are unique and believes they have a life story that will prove valuable for posterity.
  2. Unless your deposit is more than 100,000 THB, simply moving out and abandoning your deposit is going to be much cheaper than "going to court".
  3. You may want to consider buying a ticket for your gf to bring your belongings to you in Vietnam (or where ever you end up).
  4. Have enjoyed excellent 3BB service for over 12 years. However, at my new condo, AIS was the only option. Not dissatisfied with AIS fiber at all:
  5. Politics is, as always and forever will be, solely about survival. "Issues" are only properly addressed when they are part of the survival strategy.
  6. The price of gold in Thailand is the price of gold in USD times the USDTHB exchange rate. Any other value would feed arbitrageurs until it fixed itself.
  7. You are absolutely correct, of course. If you can configure a machine with integrated graphics that meets your needs, then all good. I just do not know enough about that (have not looked at PC hardware in over 10 years) to advise you.
  8. My boss had a dedicated video card that he needed to support 4 trading monitors. That card lasted for 5 years without a problem, and it had no fan to make noise. It was cheap, simple, and made attaching monitors easy. You are not trying to achieve record breaking frame rates in Call of Duty. You do not need some supercharged nvidia GPU. You just need a simple video card that supports 4 monitors.
  9. It was a number of years ago, but I remember a TV up at the front. Problem is, I cannot remember how I listened. I do not remember if it was plugged in headphones like on a plane, or if there were speakers at every seat. I am sorry, but I cannot remember that. I just remember having legroom in a large comfortable seat with leg rests.
  10. The young man needs to be introduced to fear. Clearly he does not fear the police.
  11. Have traveled via Nakhon Chai Air numerous times, and found them quite acceptable. If you can get the VIP bus, definitely do that.
  12. 14 years in BKK, and I have been "searched" at every checkpoint. Dozens in fact. The searches are cursory, but they always looked inside my cigarette pack and made me empty my pockets. I guess I just look dangerous. Two cops on a motocy stopped me once, and one started putting his hand into my pocket. This was daytime, on a small soi in a business area with no entertainment to speak of. I asked, "What are you looking for?", and his reply was "gun". 555 I inquired further, "There is a problem with old farangs carrying guns?!" They left.
  13. Currently out of stock.... maybe that market needs more supply.
  14. The very least of Thailand's worries regarding drugs.
  15. Looks like news of the arrest gave him a heart attack.
  16. What is growing out of her belly?! Looks like a camel hump.
  17. I have sent money twice from K+ to my CapitalOne account in the US. The limit per day is $50,000 USD, which I never came close to. One transfer was $100 to test the transfer, and the other was $2,000 USD. Both executed in expected time, and the exchange rate was respectable. I honestly cannot remember the fees. I believe I selected "let receiving bank charge me", and the cost was roughly $15. Did not have to provide evidence on the origin of the money. Of course, this was all before the "face ID authentication" business. Not sure if that gets involved for these transfers.
  18. At 6'4", in Thailand, I wish it were true ^_^
  19. In 13 years, I have lost two cigarette butts - one on a motocy and one on a balcony when the breeze caught it. Otherwise, everything I have ever tossed went into a bin.
  20. The visa and the extensions are two separate steps, and I was clear the information was about my extension. Ss you say, I obtained my non-O in country at CW. However the Credit Advice was required for both the visa and the extension.
  21. No embassy involved. The first time that you apply for the retirement extension, based on 800K in the bank, you will be asked to show "Credit Advice" statements (they show the details of a bank transfer) from Bangkok Bank demonstrating that the funds arrived in Thailand from a bank outside Thailand - expected to be your home country. In my case, they demanded a Credit Advice statement from the originating bank, as well as Bangkok Bank, which is ridiculous, since the Bangkok Bank Credit Advice showed the originating bank. I am sure that these demands fluctuate, but as of one month ago, this is what Chaeng Watthana was requesting.
  22. Think of it this way: "Have a good _____"
  23. Only the good die young. RIP rescuer.
