  1. I agree. Bang Kaews are the best guard dogs I have ever had. You need to be a bit careful when friends visit. Bang Kaews don't like people they don't know. If you, sadly, don't like dogs consider geese. They make one hell of a noise when strangers appear.
  2. The emphasis is more on the need for a UK address, with some supporting documents such as utility bills, NHS cards etc. In the name of the account holder. Less emphasis is placed on where the account holder is actually located. Basically many UK banks do not want account holders using overseas addresses on their books.
  3. You're missing the point. I repeat, many countries charge tourists, visitors and non-residents more than residents. This not only applies to education but, for example, to hotels, services, entertainment etc. booked in advance in package deals,
  4. Sounds to me you need to go in person to sort it out.
  5. If such small money issues upset you go and live somewhere else. Many, many countries apply dual pricing eg the UK universities charge foreign students fees at least 4 times higher than local students.
  6. You appear to be a rude and intrusive loudmouth. I would suggest you take a good look at yourself, identify your faults, and thereafter try to behave better.
  7. Regarding Covid, Johnson's first reaction was to go for herd immunity, not lockdowns. He changed his mind, and now the mess he is in, and most Brits, is the result.
  8. Not very smart to take young children to a beach well known for monkey attacks.
  9. An American friend who is a lifelong supporter of the Democrat Party fears that if Trump is arrested it will guarantee him public support and a win come election time.
  10. All of this could have beem avoided if you had applied much earlier for a new passport. Personally I have always renewed a year earlier than the expiry date. In your son's case maybe obtain a temporary passport to get over the immediate problem.
  11. Alvin Bragg is a lifelong Democratic Party supporter and part-time activist. He is almost certain to indict Trump.
  12. At CW, and Sathorn previously, I've always been in and out before 12pm. It's only once a year, and hassle free if paperwork is in good order.
  13. I have always applied for a new UK passport a year in advance of the expiry of a current UK passport. A shame to lose a year but it avoids a lot of these issues.
  14. Presumably he apologised to his mother-in-law for killing her daughter. Amazing.
  15. Would never normally recommend the use of an agent, but in your complicated case you should perhaps contact one to arrange a retirement visa.
  16. I had three good friends here, an Aussie, an American, and a Thai, all now dead. Never wanted a 'social life'. These days my Thai family provide all the company I need.
  17. He's right though. Highly unlikely they worked there against their will.
  18. Thailand has never seriously challenged it's wild-life poachers, sadly.
  19. Reminds me of an incident I once witnessed in Soviet Russia, in Moscow, in 1975.
  20. Yet another chilling incident. Despite the constitutional changes made in 1932 Thailand has made little progress to date towards becoming a democracy.
  21. If it is possible to find somebody you can trust to take care of your wife I would recommend you apply personally, with all relevant documents. You should be in and out within an hour. If that's not possible you will need the assistance of an agent. Best of luck to you and to your wife.
