Pope Francis Praises Large Families in Indonesia
Scouse123 replied to Social Media's topic in World News
He's another idiot with outdated views that doesn't know what is going on in the world. Better, he goes back to his bubble in The Vatican and prays to his fantasy god. -
But, the Swedes, Danes, French and Germans are all saying the same as the British. All this saturating us with immigrants, and their nonsense about multiculturalism, has been thrust upon an unsuspecting population of the relevant countries, who were quite happy with the systems as they were. It's not fleeing war or asylum seeking, it's an invasion bringing their 7th century outdated ridiculous superstitions and religions with them. They HAVE NO INTENTION of blending into, and accepting, the local norms and cultures.

New travel rules: Thailand’s ETA to shake up visa-free visitors

So, I suppose us on long term extensions are not part of all this? -
There used to be a Rolex centre near Central at Soi Lumpini. I used it to service mine, but they sold them as well, I think, (fairly sure) near the old site of the UK Embassy and US Embassy. Unsure if it's still there. If they don't buy them, they will know who does. Also, people try to sell them on the website bahtsold.com https://www.rolex.com/watch-care-and-service/service-centre/rswi_107235-bangkok-thailand https://www.bahtsold.com/

Halifax is not much better, not only Pakistanis, who are not a nice bunch by and large, but now Romanians, Albanians, Afghans, and others, as well as a massive influx of asylum seekers dumped in all the B and Bs, hotels etc Pockets of Halifax now no-go zones, especially after teatime. Add back, Bradford, Oldham, Dewsbury, Huddersfield, Keighley, Burnley etc Town centre of Halifax is full of druggies, beggars and shoplifters. A sad memory of what the North of England used to be. Of course, your Keir Starmer and Boris Johnson brigades don't care, hanging out in their leafy suburbs, unaffected by what's going on.

Bradford now is in a bad, bad way. The place has been ruined. A sad reflection of its former glory these days’ unfortunately.

I have just had a fairly small delivery. It took quite a while to arrive. The goods are passable, not exceptional. I don't think I will be bothering again. -

Petrol Station Scam in Bang Rakam Caught on Video, Goes Viral

I remember in Vietnam a guy smoking in a boat, he was starting the engine and had just put fuel in. He was smacking two bare steel wires together to start the engine, whilst smoking. Also, the boat was about 1 foot above the water level when we were all in it, and the only life jackets were worn by the driver and his mate. There weren't any for us. When I pointed this out, he told us not to worry, he knew the water and did this job every day. -

The benefits of living alone as an older man

Former US Soldier, 82, Assaulted by Drunk Thai Man in Pattaya Park
Scouse123 replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
Why respond to a guy that thinks it's cool to be pissed at 8am, just because he works offshore, like he's the only one! The only thing sillier than that, are his posts defending a Thai drunken thug, who picks on 82-year-old men. -

Former US Soldier, 82, Assaulted by Drunk Thai Man in Pattaya Park
Scouse123 replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
An old man viciously attacked at 82 years of age, by a drunken Thai bully. This was done without reason (witnessed by a Thai guard) for trying to keep fit in his twilight years and all AN posters can focus on is his lack of a T-shirt, or sarcasm about needing work on his abs, pretty sad really. We then have another clown victim blaming and saying Thai drunk men don't attack without being provoked, what a load of garbage. So what if he was jogging at 10pm, he wasn't harming anybody. What about the clowns drinking alcohol at 7am, or worse still, all day and night. The level and standard of responses from some posters here makes the mind boggle.- 130 replies

airasia cancellation when can u get a refund back????
Scouse123 replied to villageidiotY2K's topic in Thailand Travel Forum
Hi, Don Muang airport has a full Air Asia help desk, and they can help you if you go there, don't listen to the naysayers if you go with your forms and proof, obviously. Also, as another poster has said, if you get no joy there, raise a dispute form with your cc company, showing what action you have taken already in contacting Air Asia. A good idea would be to include the form you have put on this forum and show them you have been proactive in trying to resolve this matter. The credit card company, will refund your card, once you have raised a dispute form, and it is registered in their system. Then they will fight it out with Air Asia, and you are not waiting months for Air Asia to get themselves organized. Footnote: Always check your spam box for Air Asia responses. Also, why don't you contact the Bot on Air Asia website again and see if there has been any action. At least you can screenshot it and take it with you to the office to prove inaction. I have in the past found the Air Asia people at the helpdesk kind and understanding when I have had problems in the past. -
I don't understand why the headline refers to Aussies, when the ETA pretty much is applicable to all nationalities? Do we need one of these if we are on retirement extension?

The benefits of living alone as an older man
Scouse123 replied to simon43's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Yes, Of course, they do. They want the recklessness, partying, good-looking boys of their youth. But it doesn't work like that, because most of these guys are irresponsible and just out playing the field, plus they don't have the money for houses, holidays, cars and motorbikes, ( many don't have jobs!) and of course, they are drawn to foreigners for.............. security. With these girls, it is called' wanting your cake and eating it ' and life doesn't work that way. -
The benefits of living alone as an older man
Scouse123 replied to simon43's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
I have now watched the video and find nothing in it that I can do in that video by being alone that I can't do now, whilst living with my other half. I think the video is a load of nonsense, unless these guys were totally henpecked and couldn't stick up for themselves. If I want to be alone, I just go out alone. If I want peace and quiet, my other half goes and occupies herself doing something else. Maybe I am spoiled, but we live our lives looking after each other, but not in each other's pockets, which is how the relationships seem to have been in that YouTube clip. On top of each other. It's these older guys with no purpose in life that spend their days on bar stools, talking about whores and their conquests, pretending to enjoy life, and going home to tiny empty condos and microwave meals. Not all, the single life suits some people as does solitude, I like solitude, but if the best excuse people can come up with to be alone, is that they have the freedom to take a bar girl back, or go sit at the bar all day with nobody nagging at them, well good luck to them. -

The benefits of living alone as an older man
Scouse123 replied to simon43's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
There are no benefits in living alone as an old man, in my view. I am biased as I have a happy longstanding relationship. However, so far, what has been offered up on this board is the ability to ' have a friend over ' or go to the pub to be with farang friends. A pretty shallow and weak answer in my book. Getting pissed and shagging when you want to? I much prefer the life I have, sharing and caring, doing things together including cooking and cleaning, vacationing together, even going to the hospital, immigration, or for a long drive, I find it much better to have my other half there. BTW, I can sit in a bar alone content in my own company, I don't need or crave company. My home life and home comforts are different, however. A fresh clean bed, Netflix movies together, eating together, discussing current news together. Give me family life anytime, and she feels the same. -
