Last 25 years or so ago since anything from the IRA!! And that was a domestic dispute, that is hopefully getting resolved slowly. You may as well talk about Kashmir! ISLAMIC EXTREMISM IS ONGOING AND SNOWBALLING. -

Anybody on AN forum trying to pick holes and state that Islam isn't a violent religion, often repeated in their texts against so called infidels, is in denial, living under a rock or just plain dumb. If only 10% are extremists, that's 200 million out of an estimated 2 Billion followers. Every time we seem to have a terrorist attack, you can virtually guarantee it is Muslim extremists. It's not Buddhists, Christians, Hindus or Sikhs, or bloody Hari Krishna, it's Muslims! -

No, I am not wrong. There was quoted slightly over 48,000 terrorist attacks, NOT DEATHS, which I stated in my post. -
Are retirees moving to the new DTV visa - anybody done it?
Scouse123 replied to Scouse123's topic in General Topics
@Foxx it just seems less hassle and lower requirements, 500K which once shown can be used as cashflow, plus a visa that lasts 5 years and no need for a multi entry permit when leaving the country. A woman has just been granted a 5 year visa for DTV and she is only going on a two week cookery course!!!!....😁 Many of us, have the 800K stuck in the bank, then the multi entry permit, and it's a yearly exercise. I am never in the country more than six months without a break anyway. -

Then why are all terrorist attacks related in one form or another, misguided or otherwise, linked to Islam? -

Notice you chose the dress with face coverings, popular with male conservatives, which previously wasn't very fashionable and Algerians preferred other forms of national dress. Either way, it will do the government of Algeria no good with their tourism efforts, this recent attack by a fanatic in broad daylight in front of the Swiss woman's children. -

Youi are simply using an excuse that is not valid. Apples and Oranges. American gun violence has nothing to do with sponsored terrorism, they are completely different. -

I thought you could extend which took you up to one year, and then do the same the next year and so on making it a yearly visa? And there were soft power DTV visas for those studying catering and/or music and Arts etc. -
And that's just the women!!

The quote said 48,000 separate terrorist attacks between those years, not numbers dead. 48,000 isn't many? How many more Twin towers, London and Manchester bombings, Bali bombings, etc, do we have to see? Were these military targets or just people that got up that day going to work! Let's remember who kicked all this off in Israel recently, HAMAS and the murder of innocent Israeli civilians, hoping to develop it into a wider conflict and draw in other middle eastern nations. -

And don't forget hardline Islamists accept every word as law in the Quran. They don't care when it was written and the period of time people lived in. They are misguided fanatics, however, they spark fear in the wider Muslim community, hence nobody is willing, or very few, to speak out against their atrocities. We don't need to visit the ' old chestnut ' look at the Old Testament, Christians don't follow it in 2024, Muslim fanatics' do! -

You are saying? VERSES TELL THE TALE The Quran is replete with Surahs directing its followers to violence. Some examples follow: Surah 3:151: "We shall cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve (all non-Muslims) …" Surah 2:191: "And kill them (non-Muslims) wherever you find them … kill them. Such is the recompense of the disbelievers (non-Muslims)." Surah 9:5: "Then kill the disbelievers (non-Muslims) wherever you find them, capture them and besiege them, and lie in wait for them in each and every ambush …" -

I don't care what Islamists or Muslims describe me as. I find their intolerant, violent religion simply vile. -

yeeha, But we are not allowed to quote facts or point these things out, because if we do, we are racists! -
I have been reading today on Asean Now about the new DTV visas, as up to now with having a long term O visa followed by extension of stays, I have not paid much attention. It does seem , once you are in possession of one, to be a much better visa deal than those we are on with extensions of stay. There is no Re entry permit, it is for five years and the money in the bank option seems to be 500K, 300K better than my extension of stay, not that I ever use the 800K,nor would I use the 500K it stays there permanently With five years, I would not be at immigration every year begging extensions of stay, and the costs for such a DTV visa are negligible.(10,000 baht) Now, I would hardly be applying at 62 for a Muay Thai visa, but surely a soft power visa based on cooking classes and skills could be acceptable, couldn't it? Are there such places to enrol for cooking classes in Isaarn? The only downside I see, is applying in country of origin, unless it can be done and applied for over here in Asia? To retirees, is there something I am not seeing here in this package? What are the downsides? Have any retirees moved or are considering this option in the near future?

Absolutely spot on, and it's been going on for an age of time. Many of them have second homes in villages over there, as escape pods and bolt holes. -

Why would they follow Pakistani brothers? As a rule, they don't trust them. Nor do they share common beliefs. That script is for Muslims, the majority of Indians as we know them follow Hinduism and Sikhism. -
