  1. No because all of them leave after 179 days and go somewhere else for the rest of the year.
  2. I would consult the owner of the property and explain the situation. Before doing that, I would also ask the property manager what a "normal" or "average" monthly electric bill might be for that room type/geographic location and then offer some proportion of that amount (depending upon your length of stay) to the owner as a workaround. If the owner is recalcitrant or insists on charging what you consider to be an unfair amount, I'd pay nothing and then let AirBnb sort it out for you.
  3. I don't think you do understand. Again, if you stay in Thailand for 180 days or more in any calendar year, you'll become a tax resident. It doesn't have to be 180 consecutive days - it's cumulative throughout the year. Whether you do a border run or not, it's 180 days or more per calendar year. Whether you have a visa that potentially allows you to stay for 180 days doesn't matter - as long as you don't stay 180 days or more.
  4. I don't know whether they offer the service fee option as I've always arrived with forms filled out and photo in hand. Thanks for the correction on the single RE permit fee.
  5. Re-entry permit desk is located after security to the right of the regular departure immigration lanes. (Do NOT go through the departure immigration before getting your re-entry permit.) You must have a same day boarding pass to access the area. It's open any time there is an international flight departing (since the person processing your re-entry permit will be an immigration officer.) If the desk is temporarily unmanned, simply inform one of the immigration officers that you would like to purchase a re-entry permit and someone will be there shortly to assist you. 1900 thb for single, 3800 thb for multiple.
  6. THB:USD was 34.26 at 11:00 pm last night....making Kasikorn's forecast roughly 99.3% correct. More accurate than the weather forecast, lol.
  7. Have you considered purchasing a computer with a "return" button so you can create paragraphs?
  8. Is this the fan fiction sub-forum? I'll contribute: If Jupiter falls out of the gravitational pull of the sun and affects the Earth's gravity by 2.5 x 10^-5N/kg, (which is about 0.00025% of Earth's gravity), then will this affect you at all?
  9. If you're willing to drink yourself to death for 30,000 thb, you're not rich.
  10. Nonsensical reason to dissolve the House of Representatives.
  11. This is quite reasonable, price-wise. (My agent is slightly less but has almost zero overhead cost.) The "big name" agencies try to charge double that amount (or more).
  12. Wow, your Dad has paid a lot in annual fees for a card you don't use. Maybe you should give it back to him.
  13. Another Cheap Charlie thread. Yawn.
  14. And waaaaayyyy overpriced.....
  15. I know, right? If only there was a way to search the internet for this type of information......
  16. One wonders in how many other countries would a single school bus fire be considered a "domestic challenge" requiring "effective leadership" by the country's Prime Minister to extinguish said fire.
  17. Just about every major hotel offers something: Marriott, Shangri-La, Intercontinental, Melia, Movenpick, etc. https://www.chiangmaicitylife.com/citynow/whats-on/food-and-drink/
  18. I don't really know the answer to that but - my guess - is that my initial non-O was obtained using an agent in Pattaya and I renewed said non-O using the income method in Chiang Mai, fifteen months later. No one said a word about 800K or 400K. The only months that came into question were the 15 months' of bank statements required for that first renewal (normally 12 months but.....reasons.)
  19. Closed on Wednesdays which is.....today. https://www.google.com/search?q=airniversary+camp+and+cafe+chiang+mai&oq=airniversary+camp+and+cafe+chiang+mai&gs_lcrp=EgZjaHJvbWUyBggAEEUYOTIGCAEQRRg8MgYIAhBFGDwyBggDEC4YQNIBCTEwNTQwajBqMagCALACAA&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8
  20. This false information gets repeated on here a lot. I obtained my initial non-O for purposes of retirement using an agent. After that, I switched to the income method - no agent required. Perhaps it depends upon which immigration office one visits but it's certainly not gospel that "once you use an agent, you must keep using an agent."
  21. I'm certain that Senator Fetterman would be delighted to hear from you.
