Correct. That was the previous price, recently reduced (apparently). (I personally saw the bill yesterday and it was 600 thb.)

A Thai friend of mine received a Moderna booster yesterday at CM Ram for 600 thb. Not free but not particularly expensive either.

Thailand among the top 10 countries for expats
TheAppletons replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I spent a good portion of the last year in Los Cabos, Mexico which I find compares quite favorably with Thailand. Climate is actually better, food and drink better quality for not much more money, great beaches, easy lifestyle. And yes, quite safe. I'm back in Thailand now but Los Cabos may be my March/April/May getaway locale, if not my permanent landing spot in the not too distant future. -
Is there an exception to the 90 day reporting clock when one converts from a visa exempt entry to a non-O, i.e., the initial conversion date to the non-O "counts" as a 90 day report? Or is one still required to file a 90 day report using the visa exempt entry date? I seem to recall past discussion revolving around something like this but can't remember the exact details.

"A Thai man, who may be infected with monkeypox, was sent from Thalang Hospital in Phuket to Vachira Phuket Hospital this afternoon (Tuesday) for tests and diagnosis. The ambulance arrived at the emergency ward of the hospital at about 3.55pm and doctors immediately began the diagnosis. No further details about the condition of the man are available at the time of this report." https://www.thaipbsworld.com/thai-man-at-hospital-in-phuket-with-suspected-monkeypox-diagnosis-pending/

Monkeypox-infected Nigerian who fled Phuket found in Phnom Penh

I realize you're having a laugh but the actual answer to that question is: "On Thursday, police detected his cell phone signal in Aranyaprathet district of Sa Kaeo province and suspected that he would attempt to sneak into Cambodia through one of the natural border crossings." Narrows down the geographic probability considerably. -
Lead story in today's Bangkok Post states that Bangkok alone has reached over 10,000 new cases daily (and that Bangkok accounts for approx 1/2 of the nation's daily infections.) Doctors in the article estimate that the BA5 wave will peak by the end of August.

I think you can go to just about any Bangkok Bank branch that you want. I was in Airport Plaza about a week ago and popped into the Bangkok Bank there to change the phone number on my account. No problem whatsoever.

I extended a visa exempt entry last Tuesday. Arrived at approx 0915, done by 1030.

Where is ganja shop in Sukhumvit

About a dozen shops listed here (throughout the Bangkok metro area): https://coconuts.co/bangkok/news/heres-where-to-buy-cannabis-right-now-in-bangkok-map/ -
Regarding the "cultural consideration" comment, a reminder that it was the Thai government that told us we aren't required to wear masks. It's become an individual choice - as it should be - and no one should be castigated for making whatever individual choice in the matter one makes. Those are the conditions created by the current leaders of the Thai populace so claiming it's some sort of cultural affront when one makes a choice with which you disagree is misguided, IMO.

Thanks for that. When I found the story, the date at the top of the page was 22 June. I hadn't noticed the "published on" date at the bottom of the page. Anyway, I've used them a couple of times now and despite the app being a bit wonky, it's a pretty inexpensive way to get around Haven't paid more than 80thb yet for a ride, most in the 55-75 thb range.

Many people that are members here bank at BKB in KSK. Ergo, the closure of KSK leads to the question of where the bank accounts migrate once the bank located within KSK closes. For those of us who don't have OCD, it's a natural progression of the conversation.

TOPS, Bangkok Bank, and the Green Pharmacy are the things I will miss when KSK closes. Lease is over so need to find a new centrally located area to live where grocery chain store shopping is walkable. Ugh.

Thai clinics or are hospitals the place to go?
TheAppletons replied to NorthernRyland's topic in Chiang Mai
Hospitals are the way to go, IMO. McCormick Hospital has an outpatient ear, nose, and throat (ENT) clinic. I've used them a couple of times for routine ear cleanings (vacuum suction...took about 15 minutes, tops.) Vertigo is indeed often related to an inner ear issue so that might be a good place to start. https://www.mccormickhospital.com/web/pages/คลินิกหู คอ จมูก (Ear Nose Throat Clinic) https://www.webmd.com/brain/vertigo-symptoms-causes-treatment
