  1. 30 years in total. The ringleader got 11 years, with lesser sentences for the others. https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2023/may/30/streaming-gang-jailed-for-selling-cut-price-premier-league-subscriptions
  2. Yes, I use it for cheap calls to the UK when I have to call a business or government office.
  3. Have you changed your passport since you opened the bank account? Does SCB have a record of your latest passport?
  4. An off topic post and a reply to it have been removed.
  5. Members can only post once every 15 seconds, which is generally a short enough waiting time for all but the speediest of posters. This restriction is in place to stop spam robots posting dozens of spam messages in a few seconds. This restriction should not, however, time you out or log you out.
  6. You have not stated whether this is a PEA installation or a private installation across your own land, or a mixture of both. The difference in cost could be massive.
  7. @Kevin1908 Do you mean: 1. The PEA connecting to their supply and installing PEA poles and cables, ending up at a new PEA electricity meter outside the plot of land, or 2. Someone connecting to an existing meter at the edge of the plot of land and then installing poles and cables further inside the plot of land (perhaps to where you want to build a house)?
  8. It looks like there are two new entries because you have two new content items. The first new content item was a post from OneMoreFarang and the second new content item was from FruitPudding. I am guessing both replies are from a topic you follow.
  9. The first thing to note is that the people in the photograph are not the minors referred to in the original post. Section 4 (3) of the Personal Data Protection Act grants mass media an exemption: This Act shall not apply to an individual or a juristic person who uses or discloses Personal Data that is collected only for the activities of mass media, fine arts, or literature, which are only in accordance with professional ethics or for public interest. The question of whether or not the photo is a matter of public interest is a matter for Thai PBS, who are a Thai government news organisation. As Thai PBS are a government news organisation we acknowledge that they have impeccable legal, moral and journalistic standards and to say otherwise would be defamatory.
  10. It's a great idea for a topic, and it was good of you to start it. We appreciate it, thank you.
  11. Brian Thank you for taking the time to answer questions for people. Local experience is always really helpful.
  12. The picture was published by the Thai Public Broadcasting Service (PBS), a Thai government news organisation. We have to believe that a Thai government news agency follows the law at all times. If you would like to contact Thai PBS about this you can use their Contact Us page linked below, which also has all of their socials listed: https://org.thaipbs.or.th/service/contactus
  13. @stubuzz Thank you for the update, it is very helpful.
  14. Moved to the Home Country forum.
