  1. That's fair point. Does that apply even when there are just a few days left on the extension? What if the OP leaves on the last day of his extension?
  2. If you: 1. Have an extension if stay (obtained from immigration in Thailand), and 2. You do not have a re-entry permit 3. When you leave Thailand your extension is automatically cancelled Most people do not want that to happen, however in your case this sequence of events would suit your purpose. The immigration official stamping you out might try and tell you that you do not have a re-entry permit out of courtesy, but tell them you understand. Or they may say nothing at all. If you time your exit with the work permit cancellation you won't have to go to immigration and pay 1,900 baht either.

  5. You can normally pay an express fee to the Land Office to get the surveying team out a bit quicker. You won't get a receipt.
  6. When you receive a forum warning, the warning nearly always comes with 1 point. For nearly all warnings, these points remain active for 3 years. If a member accumulates enough warning points within a prescribed period then the moderating team may discuss whether or not that member should remain a forum member or be permanently excluded from the forum. Permanent exclusions are rare.
  7. We have all read the stories of tourists who have accidents on rented motorbikes. Drunk/no helmet/no driving license, etc.
  8. You could, but what you would mean is that their actions are pedantic. "You are being pedantic" would be more accurate. "You are a pedant" is directly telling someone what you think they are.
  9. People can be described as pedants. Their actions or thoughts would be pedantic.
  10. Moved to the Bangkok forum for local input.
  11. Sukhumvit Soi 5. Walk away from Sukhumvit for about 100 meters and look on the right hand side. You will see a laundry sign. Tiny little place, not much more than 5 square meters. It occupies a tiny corner of a foot massage/male grooming salon. It's run by a very nice, straightforward lady. Prices are 100 baht per kilo for wash and dry. Ironing is extra per piece, and not especially expensive. You collect your clothes 24 hours later. They also have an express option if you need something doing the same day. Careful, you will walk past it if you are not paying attention. https://maps.app.goo.gl/YraxXZShSbQpMomK9
