  1. You could, but what you would mean is that their actions are pedantic. "You are being pedantic" would be more accurate. "You are a pedant" is directly telling someone what you think they are.
  2. People can be described as pedants. Their actions or thoughts would be pedantic.
  3. Moved to the Bangkok forum for local input.
  4. Sukhumvit Soi 5. Walk away from Sukhumvit for about 100 meters and look on the right hand side. You will see a laundry sign. Tiny little place, not much more than 5 square meters. It occupies a tiny corner of a foot massage/male grooming salon. It's run by a very nice, straightforward lady. Prices are 100 baht per kilo for wash and dry. Ironing is extra per piece, and not especially expensive. You collect your clothes 24 hours later. They also have an express option if you need something doing the same day. Careful, you will walk past it if you are not paying attention. https://maps.app.goo.gl/YraxXZShSbQpMomK9

  10. Did you: a. Rent the property from your wife, with the agreement that you could sublet? Or b. Act as an agent for your wife, who would then be your principal? If your answer is a, the money of yours. If your answer is b, the money is hers.

  12. Van Gogh worked as a supply teacher in Ramsgate, England in 1876 teaching children art. He worked for no money, just receiving a room and food.
  13. Extradition is probably not the correct way to view things. Russia and Thailand have friendly relations, so what would happen in reality is: 1. Russia would cancel the passport of one of its citizens 2. Russia's embassy in Thailand would inform the Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs 3. The Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs would inform Thai immigration that the Russian citizen's passport has been cancelled. At this stage it doesn't matter what visa or extension you have, your passport has been cancelled so you are in Thailand illegally. 4. The Thai police arrest you for being in Thailand without the correct documentation 5. You are deported back to Russia. No need to appear in front of a judge for an extradition hearing.
  14. No, because transfers to family members are taxed/charged as a Deed of Gift, and not a regular sale. Total costs are minimal.
  15. The problem the OP has is that the land may already be encumbered with debt. After spending money on taking the matter to Court, his 50 per cent of the equity may amount to nothing at all.
  16. Any amount of cash can be legally hand carried out of Thailand, as long as: 1. The cash is legal, and 2. The cash is declared You may also have to declare the cash at transit countries and almost certainly at your destination country.
