  1. Exit 1 or 2. About a 5-10 minute walk depending on your speed.
  2. https://aseannow.com/forum/40-sports-hobbies-activities/ Would probably be your best bet.
  3. A truly kind man who helped so many. Like many others, my first post on this forum was a visa-related question.
  4. It will take time. First, you need to make an online appointment with the British Embassy to make a certified copy of your passport: https://book-consular-appointment.service.gov.uk/TimeSelection?location=53&service=8 The nearest appointments are about 1 week away. The service costs £25. Alternatively you can send your passport to them. Details here: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/notarial-and-documentary-services-guide-for-thailand#certified-copy-of-a-british-passport Once you have the document you need from the British Embassy you will need to drop it off at a reputable translation company, along with a copy of your marriage certificate. The translation company will need a copy of your marriage certificate to get the exact translation required. It's also likely the translation company will require a copy of your passport, so do take that to the translation shop aswell. The translation shop will make the translation and then take all required documents to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for legalisation. The translation shop will need to book an appointment at the MFA. Again, there is a waiting time to get a slot. Once at the MFA the legalisation will also take time. I believe there is an express option with the MFA if required. I am currently having a document translated and legalised.
  5. At some point in the future her Thai passport will expire. Her next passport will have her new name on it. At that point her Thai passport and her Danish residency card will be in different names. She can deal with it now or deal with it later, but at some point her residency card will have to be changed to her new name. Sometimes it's better to do these things when you aren't in a rush and time is on your side.
  6. If you open a beer bar that only sells alcohol then you will be fighting against bars that make profit from other sources, meaning they can drop their alcohol prices to attract customers who will then pay for additional services. Racing to the bottom with prices is a dreadful idea, but some owners still do it.
  7. Consider the screen size. Most children prefer 14 inch or 15 inch screens. Yes that seems too small for us, but they prefer smaller and lighter if they are carrying them around.
  8. I printed out my keys using archival ink and paper. I then encased these in clear resin. The resin blocks are in a pelican case. The pelican case is in a welded non-magnetic stainless steel tube. The tube is buried in concrete under my swimming pool. I have more than one pool in more than one country.
  9. I've used 4 different MG ZS cars (all hire cars). 3 were fine, but 1 had a problem with the charging port under the front grille. The vehicle would not accept a charge from the fast charger, so I ended up being driven 100+ miles back to the hire location in a recovery truck with the car on the back of the truck after waiting while the recovery service tried to fix the vehicle. I got back to the hire location at 2am, and not in a very good mood. Since then I have only used the same vehicles for hires where I would be staying local to the place of hire.
  10. There are Thai, English, Irish, Scottish, Dutch and French lodges in Thailand. There is a good possibility that some members of these lodges are also members of this forum.
  11. As mentioned above, importing used cars and motorbikes is not allowed. Yes, you could import the parts and rebuild it, but you would never be able to register the bike with the Department of Land Transport; receive an ownership book for the bike; tax or insure the bike.
  12. I have found that the box needed to be completed or the page wouldn't submit. The required format is LetterLetterNumberNumberNumberNumberNumber (LLNNNNN) and any valid combination works. I think I used AA99999 or something like that.
  13. I thought that, however it's really easy to find the car in a car park.
  14. No. You will have to physically visit a bank branch with your original passport if you want to open a bank account.
  15. Personal Teller Machine. A glorified ATM designed to do away with human counter staff.
  16. Moved to the Air Pollution forum.
  17. Check the ink stamp in your passport has the correct date. It's very rare a mistake happens, but it has been known from time to time.
