  1. Totally different, so irrelevant Also, in the many years you have been on this page, have you EVER or EVER seen anyone being given the advice of advising their bank as to a change in visa/extension status?
  2. Then you have the country's worst Amphur, I just needed my passport and bank account details
  3. The schools that I worked in, it was only the male teachers who had this duty.
  4. What on earth? "attorney in my country of origin", "going to MFA", none of those has anything to do with remaining in the social security scheme.
  5. You had to show the embassy, not the airline
  6. Within 30 days Strange, because with the single entry tourist visa, the op would not have to worry about a TM30 or a visit to immigration, surely a preferable situation?
  7. Does not say that on the Government website? https://www.thailand.go.th/issue-focus-detail/001_01_208
  8. The correct word is Myanmarese.
  9. Then you did not have to leave, you would use form TM86 Application for change of visa
  10. That would depend on what entry you were on at the time
  11. I already stated that it has nothing to do with BOI https://www.immigration.go.th/en/?page_id=2537
  12. e who should know, and nobody ever suggested any possibility to do it in Thailand. And I know many people who traveled to neighboring countries to go to the Thai embassy in those countries to apply for Non-B visa. Those were people with legitimate new jobs and the correct documents. All went for a couple of days to neighboring countries to get that visa because they couldn't do it within Thailand. Anyone for any employer can do it, I did it for a teaching job. Some employers will send you abroad because it is less paperwork for them. "I spoke with enough people who should know," - clearly they did not know as much as they thought :-) Nope nothing has changed, did my first in country Non-B over a decade ago You did not HAVE to leave, it was just easier for your employer that way
  13. Incorrect, you can apply for a Non-B or convert a tourist visa INSIDE Thailand at Immigration. Here is one such visa issued inside Thailand
  14. If you had to show the 800k came from abroad and dealt with an immigration officer, you totally did NOT do the same as the OP, you got an in country visa, the OP is applying for one at an embassy.
  15. you would require a work permit to work legally here
  16. The fine is 2000 baht (5000 baht if caught and 200 baht a day until paid)
  17. A Non-O issued for retirement will have "employment prohibited", that will not be on a Non-O for marriage - there is your difference.
  18. A first extension should be for the same reason as the issuance of the initial visa (marriage in your case), so not sure if an agent can circumvent that rule
  19. Then buy the elite visa = problem solved
  20. Rule 18 states "Social media content is acceptable in most forums. However in factual areas such as but not limited to news, current affairs and health topics, social media cannot be used unless it is from a credible news media source or a government agency, and must include a link to the original source", the post you said needed a link did not quote any social media?
  21. Thanks, but that says "should", not must. :-)
