Thai Couple Shocked At Losing Camera Gear While Holidaying In Swiss Town
digbeth replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
because they're rich (renting an entire villa) and this can't possibly be happening to them Thai people also naively tend to thinks certain nationalities are beyond reproach, like Japan is a paradise and crime-free, I mean.. they're in paradise... how could this happens.... not beyond the reporting from tabloid from the west that reports accidents that happens to white tourist, to locals it's idiots rents motorcycles, plenty more in the ER to the tabloid headlines of "troubles in paradise" sells -
if the system has a leak and the compressor ran dried, you're probably gonna need a new compressor

Realistically, how much would this slow down the mule account used in phone scamming? if the daily limit is still 200,000 for transactions, they can only move the money out 4 times a day, that might give time for the account to be reported and frozen. But I don't see them being able to implement face scanning for internet (browser-based) banking soon, granted, some banks have discontinued the service already. The phone scammers are already kidnapping people to man the call centres in border towns, now they'll just keep kidnap the mule account owner too

we can discuss prescription only medication on this forum, so if weed moves to that category we can still discuss which 'clinics' attitude towards dispensing Kratom on the other hand, doesn't seem to have medicinal use they can hide behind on, but even before the decriminalization, some café with traditional medicine certificates are already serving brews with them

I think the ladders only reach down to the emergency walkway between the two guideway tracks, and you're supposed to walk back to the stations from there, not sure how passengers in wheelchair will cope

Two Electric Meters - how to switch between the two?
digbeth replied to mallmagician's topic in The Electrical Forum
We've seen case where people install sockets along with their charger behind the TOU meter and the power company is fine with it. Only MEA in Bangkok makes you switch your whole house over to TOU before giving you a separate meter for EV before you automate everything, make sure the clock on the meter itself is set to the correct time, there has been case where the TOU meter's time is off and incorrect rates applied even while charging on off-peak times -
ฺBankrupcy could be difficult, any sale/transfer within 3 months before the declaration of bankruptcy or a lien if the landowner owed somebody could be reversed. Before it comes to seizing of land/property, there would have been noticed served as in posted stuck to the property gates so a local should know of their reputation
-
thais just goes hand-in-hand buyer and seller and maybe the agent who's getting commission to the land office due dilligence is checking the back of the chanote that there are nothing unusual recorded like usufruct or right of way cash/cashiers cheques is only handed over once both party is satisfied, in case of transfer they would have a relative at the bank to verify that the money has arrived and phone back to the ones at land office to go ahead(doesn't help in the case of fake cashier's cheque where the amount would appear and be voided a few days later) only case where things could go wrong later would be if the land office official is in on it, from issuing deeds where they shouldn't have, or the deeds was stolen from another relatives and sold by someone who shouldn't have been able to would a lawyer be able to discover these?

if she shows up to negotiate, by getting a loan to consolidate the debt or even just asking the judge, she can get almost half the amount that's usually collection fees and interests knocked off the asking amount. -

Are Carryboy covers illegal on 2 door 4x4s?
digbeth replied to ningnong's topic in Thailand Motor Discussion
Only if you put seats in it, Trucks and Vans for carrying cargo gets green plate Over 11 seats with canopy and seats gets blue plate and even cheaper tax Some used to 'borrow' canopy to register for cheaper tax and remove it, hence the crackdown Does the police care if you do it the other way? Who knows... -

7-11 now has deals with many banks where you can use the app to withdraw cash from 7-11 as 'Banking Agents' The fee are like 5-10 baht each time though, and if you already use the app, QR payment/transfer are widely accepted by most traders anyway -
Upon exiting Thailand, couldn't she present both passport and if the io is reasonable, stamp her out on the Thai passport to prevent any problems with the 'blank' thai passport If the worse come to worst, she can enter Thailand on ID card alone, thai citizen can't be barred from entering the Kingdom even without her passport, then use her Thai passport next time

Easy Pass is broken, is there an easy solution?
digbeth replied to Furioso's topic in Thailand Motor Discussion
Are you sure it's not M-Pass, if they originally got it from the Hwy7, it'll be M Pass, They're no longer being issued new -
There are no law or dlt regulations that covers red temporary plate for motorbikes, they are not made or issued by the department of land transport. Problems are that between riding off from the dealer and when the dealer register the bikes could be months, during which they could be involved in crimes and be untraceable, by witness amd such, hence some province police stationwould get together with the local dealers and issue their own plate, you'll see plate like Pattayq, some will even have dealer's name attached If you ride such a plated bike to Bangkok, it's good as having no plate, But Bangkok police, having no such scheme, would let you off with a warning if you can produce recent dated receipt from the dealer Even riding to other province with similar mptorcycle red plate scheme, you aren't guaranteed to not get tickets for having no registration either
-
There are no red plate for motorcycle issued by DLT You won't see them in Bangkok What gets issued in certain provinces are backed by the local police station or just the dealership
-
For motorcycles: they have no legal standing, but each police stations in provinces issue them to help with crimes from stolen bikes to traffic offence while waiting for paperwork to be sorted for the bike For cars, red plate must be issued with logbook Due to shortages, dealers have been giving people fake red plates, from fake plates with real logbook, or one real plate and one fake for the other side, making a set of real plates stretch to cover two or even three customers Fine for forging government documents are of course worse than driving with no plate.... too bad if your dealer didn't tell you the truth and you can't discern if they're genuine or not.

Outside of their hospital they might not have brought cashiers and receipt printing setup conpared to hospitals that has cashier counters too, so most location in malls like ICS and Central World are effectively free?
-
The BMA hospital I saw (Bang Na) seem to charge burmese workers for the vaccine, so other long term residents might be treated the same?
-
For Bangkok(BMA) run place they have been charging foreigners since January
