  1. Cannabis leaf are classified as produce and don't need to incur the VAT right? Just pay the corporation tax on the income if your shop is registered as a company Being high value, you could launder a lot of income, say you clam to sell 2-300kg a month and pay legit tax on that, come filing day next year, the tax man are not gonna come looking for evidence that you've grown all the weeds yourself, the fertilizer, water and electricity bills
  2. no, 22 is on the other side of Sukhumvit, all the odd numbered sois are on the north side of Sukhumvit, Asoke is 21, 23 is Prasanmit, the soi after, Cowboy is between the two Clueless reporter see it's one soi after Asok and put down 22
  3. Apart from the engine sounds, I doubt I'll be able to appreciate or enjoy the difference the 4cylinder 400 over the less expensive 650, definitely not on the roads of Thailand
  4. Cleaning a cassette type in the middle of the bedroom could mean mess all over the bed as oppose only 1 wall of the room, even if it needs cleaning less often than the wall type, you wouldn't want the tech climbing over your bed to service the unit maybe
  5. had an installer refuses to install an oversized invertor unit stating that the ballpark figure the sales guy did was wrong and oversold us, claiming that being oversized means it will run 'throttled' all the time and will not feel as cold as what we're used to, this was a Mitsubishi dealer that only sold one brand, they took everything back and refunded the difference and deliver us the proper sized unit later. apparently they had spades of complaint and return due to the invertor unit 'not feeling as cold' as the normal units
  6. Utapao is convenient if you can get someone to pick you up, but to get a taxi from there when you land can be a ripoff now that Air Asia no longer fly the route it's not so convenient now
  7. the local rescue volunteer would be the guys to call
  8. it used to be that it's registered as 'members only' club probably due to licensing and not competing with other retailer, you're supposed to get a day pass even to enter if you hadn't bring your card even but if you turn up at the cashier and say ' no habe' when they ask for the membership card, they'll happily scan the card for 'no member' they have at the till instead. They still have rules that don't make sense is that in order to get a membership, you need to spend like 3,500 baht in a day to qualify for the free membership, For businesses, membership means you get the full VAT invoice without needing to ask for it, and that's it For credit cards They only accept Citibank cards, but now that UOB has taken over Citi's Thai operation all UOB cards should be accepted too QR codes and TrueMoney is also accepted
  9. I've neve kept any gloves in the glovebox compartment of my car ever
  10. Run your own ground from the adaptor for sensitive device
  11. not for the life of the vehicle, but if you want to retain the warranty then yes, it has to be serviced by authorized centers If they want to retain such rights, the only way they can enforce that is by leasing out the vehicle/battery only and never letting you 'own' your own car Even for ICE cars, Thailand don't have provision for you to change oil by competent person such as yourself or outside garage and the Manufacturers still honoring their warranty when something big like engine blows up
  12. Took a relateive who got referred to a second or third tier private hospital to have an ultrasound where the local government hospital was too busy and they have a partnership with this private hospital, this was in very industrial part of Samut Prakarn and was surprised to see they were quite busy with middle eastern patients, while they were close to the Airport, there are no good hotels nearby and bussing the relative in from Nana is gonna be tedious in traffic, but this hospital has team of translator just like in Bangkok Hospital or Bumrungrad. I doubt they'll be charging at the same level as Bangkok Hospital or Bumrungrad. The business must be good that this 'brand' of hospital are sprouting locations with numbers like 4, 5 after their name all over the place, on the same stretch of road I also see different chain hospital doing similar deal, and they have JCI accreditation. Probably only a few of those branch is the 'international' wing of their hospital and the bulk probably handles social security of the factory workers in the area
  13. put some dent in the car and counter the neighbor with a repair bill from a garage
  14. the location of charger close to amenities like entrance and toilets is already making the spot being iced, if the charging spot is the only spot with roof in car park/ service station without roof, it's even more tempting to be blocked in by clueless ice drivers
  15. while the X-ADV 750 id definitely the better bike, for grocery shopping the underseat storage on the 750 is a lot smaller than the 350s, maybe parts will be more expensive, when the first gen X-ADV came out things like footpegs and rear racks are only available out of italy and they cost a lot, not sure if there's more aftermarket parts now NC750 has same engine and transmission and bigger wheel that'll actually go off road better too
  16. The weekend 'sprinter' service to Pattaya (Phlu Taluang) is the only route that class of train is being run at all, last I checked in January it's still being run on saturday and sunday the route no. is 997/998 as opposed to the regular service https://www.railway.co.th/Service/PopularTrainDetail?value1=00DE5502B5AA7B42A92BE9FF953D8EBD010000002459500A5C30461B1381CE058A2E7EBC40464F5672DFBA095EA22401B63E8AFB&value2=00DE5502B5AA7B42A92BE9FF953D8EBD010000002EC18817C2BAD533A2A75DDD750BF121F2B674E04DB31EC724C9C00CE0AC5819
  17. Hua Lampong, Bang Sue is for Northern and Southern routes for now, Unless you really enjoy trains, bus are better options, there's only 1 train a day, and un-airconditioned on weekdays, BTS ride to Ekamai and coach to Pattaya and even with the worst traffic you'll still beat the train
  18. Honda never officially made jacked up wave here in Thailand (unless you count the CT125) For current Model there's Suzuki Crossover for past models, in 2008 there's Tiger Smart CX , Tiger Smart was Thai brand's Wave copy, the CX model came from the factory with braces in the frame from the factory plus other off road looking farkles
  19. If anything goes wrong it's probably gonna be an ambulance ride to the nearest hospital, of which there are many in the area, surprisingly the mall this clinic was in was full of beauty clinics probably for the same reason. We went to had a look and felt confident with the doctor, low cost would probably from him being efficient with his time, having the patients prepped and lined up, the surgery was only 20-30 minute tops, the doctor and 1 assistant plus a few nurse was a very tightly run operation and earning enough to justify mall rent despite only operating 3 days in a week.
  20. Had my mom's done at private clinic by a eye specialist surgeon, Dr. Sumet, Clinic is Kaewta Eye Clinic, it's in a shopping mall near Victory monument, the wait is a bit tiresome as he crams clients into the waiting room and line them up to perform the surgery one after another, but it's out and done in a day, follow up in a week and a months'. you can do the other eye at the follow up appointment Clinic is open at noon Friday - Sunday, you can call and get an appointment right away, looks like the doctor has a day job at a hospital during weekdays, the latest you'll be out is around 5pm, the price is 27,000 each eye for 'standard' or 30,000 for Hoya intra-ocular lens, if you can bear the government hospital like wait it's probably the cheapest private option, other private hospitals will have more lens selection like focussable 'supersight' that corrects both near and far sightedness but that goes for around 200,000 for both eyes
  21. if they have access to condo's stationery they could produce official looking receipt as much as they want without depositing the cash into the condo's account
  22. just take the bill to any bank and pay with cash if you don't have a Thai bank account any good condo management shouldn't accept cash as that's rife for embezzlement
  23. it's being redeveloped into a highrise tower, so no loss there the open air tourist trap like Jodd Fair in is a much better deal with non-ripoff price that locals can enjoy too without being too unsanitary/cramped like other Thai focused night market like Those along Ram-Inthra expressways
  24. the auto gates for Thai passport seem to not work for a lot more Thai passports recently, resulting being Thais that can't go through the auto gate being directed to the adjacent fast track desk, this might be why they suspend PR that can't go through the auto gates to go to the normal queue instead of being additional work for the fast track lane
  25. tap or chip inserted into the machine? it's a known problem that Bangkok Bank's mastercard contactless for debit cards don't work unless you use the chip the cashiers probably doesn't know this and see the contactless symbol and just try to tap the card
