you were contacting someone about making a purchase, they replied that they have quit? it's not illogical to draw conclusion that the person in contact with you is no longer employed by the concern you were attempting to purchase from

Should bigots in sporting crowds be fined and banned?
digbeth replied to bignok's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Ok, let's rephrase, should players suffer verbal abuse in the stadium? Should shop staff? It's the same as the football players at their workplace? -
for those unaware, the clothing bear the symbol of the move forward party, there is a protest planned tonight, but unlike last week's which finished around 9-10pm, tonight's protest is expected to move to Ratchaprasong intersection (Central World) The original poster is warning about disruption to traffic on Asok rd., but rest assured the bars on Soi Cowboy remain open,

Don't start, usually when you vote you should have some idea of who would be the prime minister should your party won, how many voters in the UK's last general election can envision the current and previous prime ministers they have now?

Local cables in Pattaya are like that, Proper cables that's not some guy rebroadcasting stuff from dvd players and pirated satellite are from ISPs these days, be it AIS or True, so you'll be paying the package on top of internet access, so you'll get a box that plugs into your tv, no tuning straight from the tv remote

Libraries and research in Thailand
digbeth replied to rsskga's topic in Higher Education in Thailand
libraries at Chula would have catalogue of past papers from students on demography, some are already digitized, recent ones would definitely have the summary in English -
but only after being embarrassed on social media, if they're pro-active local authorities in charge should have noticed this and fixed it of their on volition

if you offload a passenger like this, don't all the check baggage needs to be re-screened just in case? I mean even retrieving just this family's checked in bags in the hold would have been impossible without re loading everyone's bag anyway, that's a raft of delay and missed connection for the rest of the day's flight for that aircraft

last year they claim it was 'dry cow' syndrome now it looks like government price control makes it not profitable to sell the plain milk at the regular price, not how the expensive options like lactose free and barista formula are available normally

digbeth replied to bignok's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
the red ones are well known, I had BBL card with frequent flyer program from the same airlines that got hacked 3-4 years ago, after getting replacement card from Bangkok Bank, I didn't link or save the card detail on their website and never got hacked again, it must be their payment processor that's got backdoor in -
K-Bank Email

it is not to prevent people transferring criminals, you can perfectly send criminals more than 50,000 of your hard earned money after you have scanned your face it is to prevent criminals from emptying 'mule' accounts that's used to received victim's money criminals would buy up accounts from people and only have online or app access that they can use to move money around to other accounts, as these accounts will get frozen after they've been reported, with the new measure, actual account owner is required for more than 50,000 transfer, so the criminals will be limited in how they can move the money around -
Credit Card in Thailand
digbeth replied to Robin's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
He might have been offere a 'bonded' credit card that works just like credit card with a proper credit line that shows up on your credit report, only caveat being you have to have a fixed deposit covering the credit, this deposit doesn't get deducted once you use the card, you have to make a payment every month, as little as the minimum payment, running up interest while your original amount sits in the bank untouched. In theory this is offered to those with low or no credit history, once they show a pattern of repayment and source of income, they can apply for a proper credit card, which for foreigners in thailand not working - never. bonded credit card has some benefit over debit cards, such as proper chargeback protections and other perks like points or cashback discounts and there are many situations where debit cards are not accepted, like try renting a car at airports. Question is can the 'bonded' deposit be used to satisfy retirement visa requirement? you get a fixe deposit passbook that runs interest but you can't withdraw, if you put in 400or 800,000 in and get a bonded credit card against that allowing you to use money you can't otherwise touch. -
last I looked the existing franchise in the area has first refusal as in, corporate wants a cut of the action, you better cough up the cost to open another branch next door or opposite, not easy if you don't own the land, otherwise they'd find someone who would or corporate would do it themself and drive you out of business. this is usually triggered after your existing store has reached a certain threshold of takins per day, 10-15 years ago it was 60-80,000 a day

I always shop between Jib or Advice, for online things like parts that I build myself, rarely had to interact with them, same day or express 2-3 hours delivery in Bangkok from these two is very convenient If the pre-built name brand are out of stock, they can build you one to spec Invade IT for stuff I can't get anywhere else, as their price is a bit higher, if you need to speak or email someone in English, I supposed they're worth it For more mom and pop store, Compute and More, not sure about their online service but used to have a chat with them at their store in Palladium and Big corporate, I successfully order direct from Acer and Dell, never Asus

SCB EasyNet Mobile App logon?
digbeth replied to SurfRider's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
The Bank's logic is sound, in the past they might have to cover loss to phone scam, so making remote access while using the app impossible, the irate customers are going to be in the minority and every time a big scam case hit the media, the mass are ready to blame the bank for facilitating the scam Unfortunately there are no Thai law protecting disabled access for people that might need screen reader to use with the website they discontinued -
if the car's under finance you'll need a permission from the finance company to take it abroad (not likely) otherwise the owner just take the relevant document to make that car's permit (essentially a passport for the car) thai citizens can apply for border pass without passport, but they'll be limited on where and how long can they visit

SCB EasyNet Mobile App logon?
digbeth replied to SurfRider's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
even if you manage to get the app software to run, using android emulator that replicate a phone OS like bluestack, the banking app probably can detect it's being run where it shouldn't, normally they would even refuse to run when you have root mode enabled or the phone jailbroken already if the above paragraph doesn't make sense to you, just getting a sim card dongle and plugging it in your computer's not gonna work
