  1. I see more of the krathong being made from natural products the last few years. Like slices of a banana stem for the body.
  2. In non tourist areas I am rarely asked for my passport. My wife just uses her Thai ID.
  3. Hard to buy clothes online here. There are several different size standards used.
  4. Driving on the other side of the road isn't that hard. The biggest issue you will have at first is turning on the windshield wipers when you want to use the turn signals. But you have to be aware of how people drive here too. Don't ever think about 'right of way' when driving here.
  5. Front loaders the water level does not get up to the door.
  6. Yes. They throw off shoots that will then have fruit too. But keep removing all the shoots and see how many times one plant will fruit.
  7. Nothing to worry about the police said they are going to take care of this problem.
  8. Banana plants (they are not trees) don't fruit regularly. They fruit once.
  9. My wife had the wrong bithdate on her Thai ID. She had to have her mother go in with her to attest to the correct date to get it changed.

  15. That's what it sounds like to me. He already has a 30 year lease on the land and plans to build a house on it. As someone else mentioned you should get a contract from the builder. Usually about 10% is paid up front and the rest is broken down into payments based on completion of certain things, like foundation,, roof, electrical, plumbing, etc.
