Customers Complain of Bank App Deducting Money Every Minute by 33.28 Baht
rwill replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
People are still falling for the scams such as you have a package but need to pay 33 baht in postage to receive it. Then they continue to take the 33 baht until your account is empty. They choose a low amount because most people have it set not to receive a notification for transaction less than 100 baht. It's not the bank app. It's people giving their information to scammers. -
My wife has migraines. She was taking a similar medication. She went to the hospital to see our normal general practitioner and he said she should stop using that and switch to Replax. It's pretty expensive, a box only has 2 pills. These medications are used only once you start feeling a migraine coming on. She saw a neurologist about a week later and he gave her a couple of medications that are supposed to help prevent migraines before they happen.

A migraine is not the same as a headache.

When you open a Schwab One international account you don't automatically get the debit card. There is another form to fill out to request one which also gets you checks you can use. I don't use the debit card much to get money from an ATM but if you do there are no fees plus they immediately refund the fee charged by Thai banks. If I remember correctly the daily withdrawal limit is $1,000 but you can only withdraw $500 at a time. If you try and withdraw too much they lock the card and you have to contact them to get it unlocked. I found that out the first time I used it and tried to withdraw the $1,000. Also when I wire money to my Thai account they show a $15 transaction fee but that is immediately refunded too. So sending money to a Thai bank is free. (Except they don't send in Thai baht so you are subject to the exchange rate the Thai bank gives you.)

It can happen in any country with progressive tax rates Sometimes a raise becomes a demotion when your income just bumps you into the next tax bracket.

Several years ago I downloaded the form from the immigration website. Filled it out and brought to immigration. He looked at it and asked me where I got it. I told him from their website. He handed me a blank form to fill out again.

About 8 years ago I rescued a young girl that was drowning in a local reservoir. By the time I got to her she had gone completely under. A guy had taken a group of kids to play there and she wandered away from the group. No one but me and my wife saw her, our dogs were swimming near her. If we had not seen her she would have been dead. After we got her back out he came over never said a word to the wife and I. Just started yelling at the girl. (probably telling her how much trouble he would have been in if she died)

They will not send it back. Option 3 is to abandon the item. Someone there will keep it. I had something similar happen with a different item. The first email asked for a copy of my passport. After I sent it they replied back that a copy was not good enough and I needed to mail my passport to them. Which of course I refused to do. It's best to tell Amazon what has happened. They might credit you for the item.

Video is from last night in Ratchaburi. Photos from a few days ago. Construction worker at our property was commenting about how foggy it was that morning. I was trying to explain to him it wasn't fog. You have to love sugarcane season. 20240213_192106.mp4

SBC 'More Than' Health Travel Insurance by Coris (Zurich).

A couple of things I noticed in the General Terms document. 1) Under the Accident extension package, item 5.4 it says "f the Insured is admitted to hospital as an in-patient for more than 48 hours as a result of an accident while staying abroad, we will pay to the amount stated in the schedule for each day of hospitalisation (from the 3 rd day inclusive) up to a maximum of 10 days" So you aren't covered for the first 2 days or after 10 days. 2) Article 8 Special exclusions, number 2. "deterioration of Pre-existing Medical Conditions or recurring illnesses;" So I would expect a lot of stuff to not be covered if they determine it is pre-existing even if not specifically excluded in advance. -
While IBIS does allow pets I don't know if they are exactly pet friendly. There isn't really any areas set aside for taking your dog out to potty. I did bring my dogs with me once to the Bangkok Riverside one. But having them do their thing by the pool didn't seem very nice to me. So after 1 night I drove back home and left them there for someone else to watch. If you look on sites like booking or agoda you can filter for pets allowed too.

Why not find some good fitting ones at a mall store. They will cut them to length for you while you wait for free. Usually takes about 30 minutes.

Lot's of businesses here claim the road in front of them as their property. The police allow them to do so. So while they do not own the road they are allowed to act as if it is their property.- 136 replies

Last month when I did my extension my bank, SCB, only did a 3 month statement plus the letter. I thought maybe it was going to be a problem but immigration, Ratchaburi, took it without saying anything. I also had copies of all the pages in my bank book. They do demand to see an entry in the bank book for that day. So I deposit 1,000 baht each year when I do the bank letter.
