Yeah, those Japanese are too smart ...I recall many decades ago when the US was complaining about Japanese imports...so the Japanese changed the name of their industrial city making those products going to America. The named the city "USA" so made in USA was no problem for a while!

Well, reading and knowing Trumps not so great negotiating skills, especially since he usually ends up giving the opposing side better benefits that he gets back, I think that the Chinese will eventually win out, already BRICS looking better and better for many countries to separate from the dollar as the is falling big time. Japan and China two holders of a lot of the US debt have already sold off about 2 trillion dollars of those bonds, and have agreed to settle trade debts with Yuan and Yen. Other countries will probably try to take advantage of this too. Also the US is not even close to being able to return to a manufacturing country while Trump is still alive IMHO. I also don't think anyone that has enough money to begin a manufacturing facility would even consider it based on the current trade issues plaguing the world because of Trump. I think he miscalculated his power to bring the US to yesteryears power. IMHO again. Besides that he claims he only ends wars, never starts them and that he can never say again, it may not be shooting yet but it definitely is a war.

so why do you care what other people are doing when you seem to be anti-mask and as far as I know, only the government and some businesses require masks. No one on this forum is forceing anyone to wear a mask that I have seen anyway. But seem to be a lot of nay sayers commenting as if they can determine if others wish to wear masks.

Trump obviously was advised of this poll and that is why he put a tariff on that island that only houses penguins. He was trying to fix it so that they couldn't find a suitable replacement on the Democrat ballot. IMHO anyway

totally agree, in addition, he is opening the gateways to BRICS decoupling of the dollar in the trade world. Saw a clip this AM Japan and China have sold over 2 trillion dollars worth of US govt bonds and have agreed to use Yuan and Yen for trade deals. Pretty soon, the other BRICS countries too will benefit from Trumps tariffs, including I would like to know HOW it is POSSIBLE to negotiate trade deals with 50-75 countries anything this year as most agreements take years even between friends! Also note the value of the $ sinking even against the Baht!

I continue to laugh at so many folks here on this forum. I am not and most say that they won't wear masks, What difference does it make anyway. Are you nay sayers afraid the facts will show a different story? Seems like too much complaining about folks wearing masks when these very complainers about others wearing them are at fault, I haven't seen anyone saying you have to wear masks, some claim that I started that but that is a false statement too. I wear a mask when I go outside. I have been in Thailand since the 70's and US doctors visiting employees advised us to wear a mask when doing anything outside in the polluted air. Yeah some of the pollution changed as unlead gas replaced leaded gas but the pollution levels did drop at first but then more and more burning every year throughout SEA means the air is polluted more often than not. That is easy to see or know about as reports are done regularly by the government and by accuweather for particular areas. Every day on the Thai TNN news, they give the government weather bureau warning for provinces with higher than the standard each day several times and they actuall show some of the polluted areas and the forest fires creating that foul air. I didn't make any claims for people to wear masks, just that good quality N95 and N99 masks can block 2.5 micron particles. AGAIN, no one is telling anyone that they have to wear masks unless it is the government stating masks to be worn in certain buildings or businesses can also require masks on customers. Otherwise it is up to the individual.

That is also why he suffers losses claimed on his income taxes - he pays less than the average joe and how does that work for a guy claiming to be worth billions? Wish someone could advise me on this subject.

yeah so then he went to the Germans to get it...until he ran again and then promised the billionaires a bit tax break if he was elected...so that is what the Republicans are pushing for - they talk about fiscal responsibility within the government and they are worse than any other party has ever been IMHO. When are the MAGottes going to realize that they will be paying more this year and several year hence while the billionaires are getting another big tax break as if they needed it. If a recession is on the horizon, who thinks that the rich won't be able to afford ANYTHING that they want while the average citizen if he has any money in the bank must forget about college for his kids, new car new Iphone or anything else. Just saying, where do they think that the money will come from? People are already losing jobs that seemed to be until they wished to retire - now that is over for millions. And ss and other benefits, going to be cut and that means tax monies are not going to available for collection or processing by the stripped bare IRS or other govt agencies. Where are all these funds needed for the rich?

Actually, you should read up on Trump and his negotiations through the decades - all the losses (nut not for him and his family as only the investers lost out) way his lawyer writes the contracts I guess.

Trump always backs out in any negotiation so far in history, giving away more than he gets for his side. But at least reading the Thai news lately, they have come to understand the Chinese ZERO DOLLAR trade business as they lost a lot of local businesses to the ZERO DOLLAR tourists only spending at Chinese owned shops and tours. So they admit that they have to work with the US on the tariff bits to protext their own businesses from the Chinese. Maybe other countries will recognize this too. I see news reports that the Panama Canal just got rid of the HongKong company controlling both ends of the canal and that Panama is allowing US troops to help them protext the canal. What this will mean who knows for sure.

But, speaking of the world, also recall the more than 500 BILLIONAIRES created during the pandemic - surely some of them will help us out with interest-free loans! In the world there were even more reich created by these false claims. I will be difficult or near impossible to ever get folks to agree on anything anymore as there is way too much free air to opine anything and everything. So, all should just sit back and wait for the dust to settle and see if we are still survivable in the next few years.

If you read my notes, you will see that I always tell folks that it is their choice to do or not to do. This is an "opinion forum" and just like you, I have an opinion and I usually say IMHO but that should be understood on this forum. You don't have to get all upset, as I never told you that you HAD to wear a mask. You seem like a lot of other folks on this forum that think it is for you only, but again, it is an opinion forum and opinions are just like <deleted>, everyone has one. sorry if you misinterpret my comments.

Just like drinking alcohol or smoking dope or cigarettes - always a bunch of nay sayers but science tells the truth using facts-based evidence. All one needs to check is to google "masks and pollution protection" as there are numerous testing already done. Yeah I remember a world class runner from Canada used to run races in Bangkok many years ago - upon returning to Ottawa, having the mandantory physical for govt employee return after which the doctor said you are very healthy but you must give up cigarettes before they kill you or affect your health! the doctor was told that this employee had never smoked ever but the doctor said the lung xrays showed at least a pack a day smoking and showed pictures of healthy lungs inside and the lungs of the employee and yeah one could easily see the coloring difference. After that jogging and running in big cities we all started wearing masks regularly. But health is an individual choice and you are entitled to your choice but you sure won't be able to convince me that exercise or life in a polluted area is completely safe. If you know of any scientific testing done to prove that fact then please advise because googling health and pollution doesn't show any fact where living in pollution is healthy for humans.

you obviously are not in Bangkok nor the north nor northeast as the pollution is over the WHO recomendation almost daily. and I am not sure I understand your comment about not having had any bad pollution as being unfortunate.

well I note it has lost one baht to a dollar in the past week or so...depending on how much one sends regularly that can add up plus we have no idea what other schemes Trump and Co. will reveal in the future

even the Thais now have a company making quality masks. But I think many of the Thais do not know nor understand "quality" N95 masks that advertise on the package can be used to block 2.5 micron pollutants.

FYI: N95 surgical masks plus some even block up to 99% of the pollutants. If you doubt my comment,, I will not link you but you can very easily google air pollution and N95 masks. So, the people wearing masks are breating cleaner air than you are if you think that wearing a mask is a waste of time. Since the air in SEA and all of S. Asia anyway is almost always polluted, if you are not wearing a mask and don't have air purifiers in your abode, then you are risking the health and those living with you. I am surprised that the number of Thais wearing masks increases as the ill health effects of the pollution are sometimes slow in action. I have my own 2.5 monitor (cheap from lazada) and measure the air quality daily several times especially if we are going out. I also check "accuweather (city) every day as they too publish the pollution. NASA has a satellite that shows a representation of open burning and one can easily see that SEA countries are more red than green! Local news media reported over a 100 forest fires burning in Chiang Mai Province alone plus both Myan Mar and Laos are always RED too. But, to wear a mask is only mandantory by certain Thai govt, such as hospitals, recommended for all trains as farangs for the most part wear no masks, cough, and some stores require it for service too.

The NAFTA trade agreement between Canada and the US took several years to negotitate and now Trumpers seem to think that he can negotitate agreements between the US and 75 or more countries? What a joke, he will probably give away all of the US half a state per country. IMHO anyway

Well normally, the SEC would be the driving force to begin an investigation but who named the new head? El Presidente himself and if this new head started an investigation, there would undoubtely be a newer head. Oh so the Congress could do an investigation of their members and Trumps advisers? don't forget, their investigation indicated that there was proof that Gaetz did commit statutory rape, used drugs regularly, trafficked women for sex, etcf - whatever happened to him? oH yeah he was nominated by Trump to be a department head but the Congress said they would provide all that proof to the public so...now he is just rich and doing his thing in Florida I guess. Like I continue to say IMHO almost all elected or politically named persons in the govts of the world are exactly from the same mold, and most while claiming to be religious of some sort and honest are just lying!
