Slim prospects for consumer goods price drop for several months
AgMech Cowboy replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Stupid article. They'll never go down unless there is a complete depression (and then maybe not). With fertilizer and fuel prices climbing it going to be tough on the farmers, etc. -
Women like to play victim and will embellish just to try and put you down. If not embellishment, it's an outright lie. Don't believe all women, ever. Sadly, the liars make it bad for the truth tellers.

Questions asked about the right to elect provincial governors
AgMech Cowboy replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Personally, I think this is BS. This sounds like the farangs who moderate here (aka webfact) and the media are trying to stir up a brew to see what comes out. There is no more interest now than there has been for the past 20 years. Sure some people (especially those who want to shuffle up to the trough) want to elect their governors, but most people that I knew up around my wife's district could not care less as long as the roads got fixed and they got some management of the Province. -
I've lived in Pathum Thani for 17 years, due East of Don Mueng Airport, and my delivery has always been sporadic (even the registered stuff). Mostly it's not a problem, but ya never know...

Apparently... Let me think... a city of less then 16,000 has a 9 man swat team. I wouldn't be surprised if they only have 9 people on the entire police force (not including the secretary and dispatchers). Oh, wait, include the 6 men from the sheriffs who were trying to help in the county catch some of the fentanyl smugglers. Rep. Joaquin Castro in a grand stander. @onthedarksideThis article should not have been included in Asean Now. The Texas Department of Public Safety are doing a great job of getting to the facts. Tell me how the corrupt FBI are going to do it better. They're to busy chasing the school board meetings. I am just sick about what happened in Uvalde. It is very, very sad, but I probably would have made the same decision to wait on the highly trained agents who came in from the surrounding area to confront the attacker*. Maybe/maybe not... but I am not going to sit here and judge or proclaim a different action. It was heartbreaking then and is heartbreaking now. The answer is in the hearts of man (women and men, LBGT+). We've got to realize that we're going to have to put up more money for mental institutions, but govern the institutions better. * a near quote from the Washington Examiner. www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/crime/border-patrol-agents-saw-taking-down-uvalde-gunman-as-suicide-mission

And many of the people in Western democracies and republics keeping voting for bigger government and more elitist control.

George, if you're only going to allow Reuters, CNN and the BBC, it won't be much news. It'll just be propaganda. But, you just keep on believing "Media Matters".

Hey, KhunBENQ, thanks for the input. I find all the offhand comment attempts to be funny pretty silly. Why morn the death of an UAE President? Who knows? Maybe he was a great friend to Thailand (or the PM).

Your post about Thais being wasn't funny. Just saying... Let it go.

I cannot see any need to vaccinate the young ones unless the have a comorbidity (obese, diabetes, respiratory problems). Children have not had a problem with COVID and they can build up natural antibodies. I agree with you, KhunLA.

With Laos Reopening... Question
AgMech Cowboy replied to FARANG KIWI's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
@FARANG KIWI Emphasis in Joe's message on "maybe". I hope he's received some reports for people who have visited Savannakhet for the same purpose recently or he's had some special news from there, but if you don't get the one year Multi Non-O visa, please don't get upset with ubonjoe. Also, many of us Non-O expats are anxious to make that trip. Please post a small report if you are successful. Thank You A Cowboy from Aggie Land. -
We dry many clothes outside, but we have a large covered area. My wife grew up without dryers, but now she wouldn't be without one. Ours is just a large plain jane whirlpool dryer. Not to many bells or whistles.
