  1. They need to stop all the <deleted> at the airport. Loading you on buses to take you to the F concourse so you can walk all the way to the Immigration booth. STUPID!!
  2. And you live where? All the Thai's I know use them, which is why Big C sometimes are out of stoke for the cheaper brands in some sizes. (That's my experience).
  3. Well, you didn't say what area, but Buddy's Bar & Grill on Sukhumvit, Soi 22 are open from 8am-2am. Buddy's Bar & Grill Phra Khanong (located on Sukhumvit between BTS On Nut & BTS Bang Chak) closes at 12 midnight. Buddy's Bar near the Pullman on Silom, they close at 11 pm. There are more Buddy's Bars, just google them.
  4. We use to have the same problem in Southern Wyoming driving to Rock Springs. Good ol' Jimmy dropped the limits to 55 mph, which was a sure fire road sleeper speed. If you didn't drive 70-80 mph you'd be holding up the traffic.
  5. I don't know about Pattaya, but I recommend the Ramkhamhaeng Hospital group when it comes to excellent Doctors at the lower pricing. Are they in Pattaya? I don't know and, yes, they have bad Doctor's too (as all hospitals do). If you've decided to seek medical investigation and possible intervention, you'll have to try more than one Doctor. That's my recommendation. (Oh, and the prices at Ramkhamhaeng vs someone like Bumrungrad, unbelievable cheaper).
  6. Nailed it!@herfiehandbag And to be honest, I suspect there are a lot of Pheu Thai and other high ranking members of other parties that don't support this government who are benefitting. Just because they are not the PM or cabinet members doesn't mean they aren't at the trough, but still complaining.
  7. @highlander403 I got into the same loop (multiple times) when I first tried to apply. I seriously don't know 100% how I got out of the loop either. I had to change my flight schedule and was not looking forward to using the website again, but after 2 tries I was in... I just tried to get in and had no problem. Go to https://tp.consular.go.th/ and click the box for "Air Travel" assuming that is your method, read the instructions that 'pop up', then close the instruction with the X in the right corner. A new page should open which will have choice for Non-Thai Nationals, (don't click the box below regarding language of Thai or English). After clicking the box for Non-Thai Nationals another pop-up will come up that says. English Language. (It's a stupid step since there are no other options). Nonetheless click that box and a new page will come up asking you to choose the plan that's right for you. Your IN.
  8. @billd766 No dude, it was well known by the insiders and 'no one' was ever held to account. I hate the NYT, but good enough for this discussion. https://www.nytimes.com/2004/10/27/world/asia/78-arrested-in-thai-protests-suffocate-in-crowded-trucks.html
  9. A newbie, UJ. Do you think he followed all that??? @bluebananaGive us some indication if anything helped. Ubonjoe, Dr.Jack, etc. do deserve a thanks, at least.
  10. If you go to South & Southwest Texas it sure as hell is.
  11. @Socheng Thanks for the report. I wish I would have seen it earlier, but I've been 'behind' in reviewing my ASEANNOW emails. I doubt you'll read this in time as I go tomorrow morning to the Phnom Penh embassy, but... How long was the line? Were there a lot of people applying? Answer this if you don't mind even if I'll miss it. There will be others who will appreciate the info.
  12. Tough question, but I think it's just a LUMA thing for the age. I'm ten years younger, so I haven't crossed that problem. Good luck. Try APRIL. I saw that @Sheryl uses them, so they must be good. And she gave you advice in previous message.
  13. Darndest thing... I just found my letter from 2011. I don't even remember which embassy it was for.????
  14. You're prince! As @BritManToopointed out. It doesn't have to be complicated. And you @drjdenhave reenforced that, keep it simple!! Thanks to all of you!!
  15. With what you've described, no, you did not pay too much.
  16. Ask that of the wives and children of the men who were suffocated in the back of a truck on the way to some 'prison' in the Northeast after only being arrested in the South because they protested.
  17. Has anyone had experience with Luma Thailand Pass insurance? I've already read evaluations about AXA. I don't really know where to go to learn about LUMA. Would any of you like to recommend an insurance to meet the Thailand entry requirements? I'm leaving on Friday (end of my permission to stay) and will make my application in Cambodia Monday for a new visa. I'll flap my wings home (Pathum Thani) on Friday, 1 April. (I'm actually looking forward to getting away. It's the packing, waiting and airport that I hate). Anyway, please give feedback on Luma (or others). Thanks
  18. Hi BritManToo. Really that's it or are you just being sarcastic. (which I can't blame you for being such). At least it's a good start. ???? That would be great if that's all it needs.
  19. I am going to Phnom Penh to apply for a new Visa Non-O. Will some of you with experience there recommend a good place to stay that's not too expensive, walking distance to restaurants? I am not interested in night life. Thank you.
  20. Dear Fellow Foreigners (Expats), I'm going to Phnom Penh this week to apply for a Non-O family. Do any of you have a nice "Letter from the Applicant's Thai Spouse" that you would like to share? This is one of those 'school' assignments that I really have trouble with and do not mind copying off someone else. ???????? Help... Thank you, Mechanical Ag
  21. "Prem was allegedly beaten unconscious..." I find this to be so shocking. We had hazing when I went to University, but it was never so brutal. I received a lot of licks with a paddle on the buttocks, but I just cannot see how these young people could be so brutal. It just breaks my heart.
  22. Ah... Brings back memories from high school. My friend broke his leg, but there was so much bruising they couldn't see the break. The doctors ruled him out of football, so he went to an osteopathy who treated him and cleared him to play. He played the season, but never as good as before. After the season was over and all the 'treatments' stopped they could see the bone was actually broken in 2 places. As Sheryl ask, do you want an Osteopath or an Orthopedic Doctor. I highly recommend Dr. SA-NGAD LIMPIWATTAKEE at Ramkhamheng Hospital in Bangkok. I'd have saved myself a lot of money and problems if I'd used him the first time (instead of Bumrungrad or Piyavate (recommended by a friend). Good Luck!Source: https://www.ram-hosp.co.th/searchdoctor1?major_id=56&doctor=74© โรงพยาบาลรามคำแหง - แพทย์ผู้เชี่ยวชาญเฉพาะทางครบทุกสาขา
