  1. Sad to lose your life over that stuff. I think it's harsh, but it's the law and Singapore are very 'vocal' and informatively explicit about the penalties. It is quite the contrast to what's happening in Thailand.
  2. Ah, come on man. TSA let me carry it on the plane and it's a gift for the PM. He's going to need it... one day.
  3. Only slightly related to your post, but 3 months ago I did a border bounce by air to Singapore. I received no stamps there, arriving or departing. At Bangkok Don Mueang airport the IO called me around to her side of the 'booth' to review pictures on her screen, which were very poor images of me. She had to ask me if that was indeed 'moi'. I confirmed, but only later realized they were taken in Singapore... I think.
  4. @Pdavies99So be sure to log in after you leave to give us a report. I'm inclined to agree with DrJack, but ya never know.
  5. @MrJ2U I've got a new role of fax paper, never opened if you need. ???? Back on topic, I can't tell what this guy wants. @MiclB Has disappeared. That always makes it hard to help. Good Luck DrJack and BritTim
  6. That's why we just keep using what worked for a 1000 years. Lady-boy... His... There is only one person.
  7. NO! We live in Thailand and do not need to start using the 'Western' attempts to identify the people who have decided they were born with the wrong sex organs.
  8. This is a sad situation. R.I.P. Thanom. I am very sad for the family. (We had a nephew come back from Israel a couple of years ago. He was flush and so happy to be home. Buying drinks, etc. for everybody. Lucky he didn't end up in a pond).
  9. I would hang around with an idiot mouthing off with a megaphone either. I certainly would call Prayut leaving a "stage left" maneuver, it was more like Chuwit just being a horses ass.
  10. Trump was not against NATO. His beef was that the US was supporting it and most of the members were not paying the agreed upon share of their GDP's to support it. Germany wasn't even paying near the 2% it was suppose to pay. I don't remember the other's, but he just called them on it. His calling them out actually saved NATO.
  11. Of course there's a Santa Claus... ????????
  12. This is a really good story with a great ending. (I wish they could find it's family and reunite them).
  13. ????There's lots in Thailand all the time (even during the pandemic)
  14. Nothing free and fair about it when they can buy votes without repercussions as Pheu Thai does every election. (I'm talking hard cash into hands for the vote).
  15. @texanaust I sent you a message. Check the top right hand side of an open 'topic' page and click on the envelope. I've recommended a good driver for you. Have a good trip. OOPS, I didn't realize you're in Phuket.
  16. I've been purchasing my beef online from a local 'market' in Korat. He ships frozen in a 'styrofoam cooler' via a copy that stores the frozen food between shopping points. I've never received anything that has started to thaw, but that from his place in Korat to bangkok and then to my house. I'll bet they have something set-up in pattaya, too. http://www.koratchef.com/
  17. I don't think anyone below your comment bothered to read it... or they just had to show their "credentials" of ignorance, except for Crossy. I was waiting for his input. (I wish he'd line up some good certified Thai "sparky's" he would recommend to fix our problems professionally) Hint, Hint
  18. I've been in Thailand for 26 yrs and including one stolen passport and one that got full of stamps (the latest after 'they' decided not to add pages anymore), I've been through 5 passports. I've never used a "linkage letter" to get my info transferred to the new one. I don't see the problem.
  19. PsyOps... perfect. The insurgents in the South will bomb themselves now because they 'saw' women gyrating and humping. ????
  20. After all the foreigners on here lambasted Anutin during the past few years, I think it would be a heck of a fate twist. ???? I've got no business commenting on Thai politics and most of you 'folks' don't either. (In fact if some of those politicians read some of those comments, it's no wonder they don't like us or want to do anything that would make the immigration laws easier or better).
  21. Put me on a flat bed so I can roll onto my side. That thing looks like a torture device to where you'd be stuck on your back.
  22. Maybe you should take a little extra time and read the article a little more carefully.
  23. No need... The farms around me do not burn their stalks, stubble (stems), leaves or seed pods. They flood the fields and then use a paddle and sled type machine to turn everything into the earth. Sometime during all that process they plant more seeds. 4-5 months later they're harvesting another rice crop. I'm sure a new method could be implemented cheaply for the cane fields, but there has to be a reason for them to change. (severe penalties for not changing)
