  1. My guess is the border between 2 amphoes (aka districts).
  2. I don't remember the requirements to open an account, but CITIBANK has a branch in Bangkok.
  3. Then they need to pay for the vaccine. Medicine is not free, you know?
  4. Do the right thing and send them on to Malaysia (or Turkey).
  5. I recently had very important mail sent to me from the US. My mail service provider recommended DHL and they were great. I sent mail back through them. Cheaper than Thai Post EMS and a week faster. (The EMS took 2 weeks, tracked it the whole way. My ballot was in the plastic 'envelop')
  6. Exactly!! Come home, serve your sentences...
  7. I used the covered parking on the left when traveling toward the border check point just near the Nicha shipping co. office. I do not remember the cost for 1 nights but it was reasonable (not 250 baht), but that was 3 months ago. ???? I arrived there at about 10:00am, cleared Thai immigration, bused across, cleared Laos immigration and took a van to the Thai consulate where I turned in my application an passport with about 15 minutes to remain before closing that morning (I was sweating it sitting there waiting for the bridge bus). Picked up my passport the next day and headed back toward Bangkok. (overnight in Yasothon).
  8. Considering the cost of a toilet in San Francisco, maybe they could work a deal and send them the toilets (of course minus the lobby). ????
  9. I hope it's cooler than a 1-3 degree drop.
  10. Yes, me too. One involves having to stand super close to the urinal to pee and never having to worry about prostrate enlargement or cancer.
  11. That applies to everybody. I hope you have a healthy day.
  12. Thaniya Dental Clinic is located in Thaniya Plaza Building which is the center of business area! 02-231-2124 or 089-813-6672 Doctor Somchai. His coworker does the root canals (I forget name) and she is the best I've ever encountered. I've 9 root canals done by her on my tiny teeth (I'm serious. My teeth are tiny) and she's always gotten it done and her anesthetic injections are so gentle. Good Luck!!!
  13. I just don't know where you get your info, but it's not correct. I cannot (well, will not) research and post rebuttals to your comment(s), but there have been people who have followed and reported on the terrible side effects of the COVID vaccine. I've taken the first 2 primary Pfizer shots and one booster. The gamble has so far had no serious effect on me, but I'm not taking any more, just as I do not take a flu shot. (The side effect I'd be most concerned with in my case now is the reduction in the strength of my immune system)
  14. About time... Congratulations to PM Anwar.
  15. Interesting info. I was contemplating a KL or SING by air border bounce in a couple of months. Maybe I will reconsider and head up to Udon Thani.
  16. My son would not eat vegetables nor spicy foods. He's 20 now. We didn't have to give him enemas or laxatives. He wouldn't even eat fried potatoes. He didn't eat sweets or drink sodas (sugary or sugar free). Was he a 'stick'? No, fat from it, but not a fatty either. He really liked noodles... Still does, but eats a lot of pork and beef.
  17. I am so glad Asean Now has ubonjoe to help us non-Thais with the various immigration problems. Thank You and stay well!
  18. Nuclear is the best way to go for a nation that has few natural resources. Wind, Solar and Batteries are a folly or a scam. I'm not sure which. The physics do not add up. I suggest that you watch a view videos from people that have actually done the calculation. But to get anyone interested here's a bit about the electric cars... www.youtube.com/watch?v=z2HneqfZGsM www.youtube.com/watch?v=ptI6BRVC1Kw&t=330s You'll have to copy the addresses and post them in your browser. I removed the automatic link.
  19. I might do this, too. They were the office that resolved my problem in 2020, but it still cost me chunk of money (deductions from my SSA payment).
  20. Hey @khaepmuThank you for requesting some ideas here on what to do. I received my "second request" today. It seems the SSA has a real problem in managing their mail. I just received the same letter and form. This is the second time in the past 3 years that I've mailed them a document in their enclosed addressed envelope for which they claimed not to have received. The first time in 2020, it cost me over $2500 and they'll take no credit for their or the postal services inefficiency/inadequacy (in 2020 it did not have to do with notification questionary. it was to do with Medicare, still 'they are never wrong'. @KhunLAThank you for such a 'brilliant' idea. That's what I'm going to do. EMS and Registered mail have become ridiculously expensive and because it's to a PO box, no one is going to sign for it anyway. My Thai PO is only a few kilometers from the house, so that's exactly what I'm doing.
  21. Hopefully, none will follow their ships in the wind (or the brink)
