It's not in Bangkok, but it is in the Metropolitan area. Here in Lat Sawai, Pathum Thani we have the US Steak, hamburger&BBQ restaurant. It's got some great food. I still haven't tried the Hamburger... The steaks have been good.

I've never been there, but a couple of my friends highly recommend Bangkok Hospital. My last one was done at Bumrungrad, but it was expensive; although, the care was 1st class.

Yes, use Viber, it'll be much, much cheaper. I am pretty sure I used '005' as a prefix, such as calling my cousin...005 001 area code and then the number.

Yes, I still read books. Real, honest to all, paperback books. I try to wait until they're printing the smaller reprints, because I read at night in bed. The big paperback books are a bit heavy and cumbersome.

I didn't answer your survey. It's too limited. I normally hit the outdoor shower first, but sometimes I forget. The reasons to shower before entering the pool are to wash off the oil and sweat that are detrimental to the pool's filtration system. If you put on sunscreen, it's best to shower again before you re-enter the pool. (and no the sunscreen does not protect you once you're in the pool. It washes off very easily).

Pistols are a tool that I've not touched in more than 50 years. We had a 22 rifle for target practice, rabbets and skunks. A 30.06 was for deer and turkeys and the 12 gauge shotgun rounded out the rack, which was for quail & doves (and was kept handy with my Dad whenever the local police, Sherriff, juvenile delinquency officer or Country Judge suggested we should be vigilant). I'm a strong Second Amendment advocate, but have never seen the sense in me owning one. I might feel different if I had to go to the US and live there again. Good luck on your trip and stay safe.

Aw, come on, lordgrins, he is a man of simple means. After all he's a product of Sam Houston State University in Huntsville Texas where he received a PhD in criminal Justice in 1978. I'll bet he spent a lot of time studying the crooks at the prison there and could almost talk with a Texas drawl if he wanted. We're proud he chose Texas to learn the arts of justice. 😉👍(and that's a Gig 'em thumb emoji, not just a symbol of approval or as in the US air force it means $hit Hot).
