Under normal circumstances that would be a good choice. But given the reality of the 2024 election cycle and the big chance that Kamala will be crushed, it may be hard to find 'name brand' democrats willing to go down to defeat with her. IF the democrats were smart, they would put together a ticket with two of their moderate governors (Whitmer, Shapiro, Moore) and give Kamala the elbow. Any combo of those three would give Trump a run for his money.

Well, he never mentioned his dread condition in his autobiography. He DID mention his active participation in sports, being a lifeguard, college football, all that good stuff. Both were remarkably similar. Trump got 4 deferments for being in university, Biden got 5. Then Trump was medicaled out for bone spurs, Biden medicaled out for childhood asthma. Where is the difference? Lots of others did the same or similar, from Dick Cheney to Bill CLinton.

I posted already that the standards for physical fitness in the Secret Service are very different for men and women. A high pass for a woman is the equivalent to a poor or very poor score for a man. Rumours are now floating that the protection detail fro Trump actually wasnt all Secret Service. A large percentage were DHI (Department of Homeland Investigators)- trained law enforcement but not trained as close protection. Might explain some of the confusion and the vertically challenged people with uteruses that were present.

No arguments here. The threat,as Russia saw, was Nato continually getting new members until they reached the border of Russia. To a paranoid group like the Russians, this was very scary. But Nato has been coasting for decades. The US defence budget as a portion of GDP has always been double or triple the NATO allies. Canada, to my embarrassment, has been even worse and for longer. I remember when I was in the Armed Forces, we didn't even have enough money to pay for blank rounds to simulate combat training.

One unexplored reason why Russia felt safe in invading Ukraine was that the European members of NATO were too weak to offer any effective deterrence. How many soldiers could they field if need be? To be fair, there are roles in the USSS where women could thrive. Well, Trump is the president who finally moved the American embassy in Israel to Jerusalem, after so many broken promises by previous administrations. We may also see an expansion of the Abraham Accords to countries like Saudi Arabia. I can't see any downside.
