Is It Better to Date a “6” Than a “10” in Thailand?
The Old Bull replied to JK-Trilly's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
I believe beauty is in the eye of the beholder.Fat or thin ,tall or short, light or dark, everybody has different tastes so how can you have some kind of universal rating system? However I do know that women who are too good looking are dangerous. -
Navigating Pattaya: Are Thai-Language Signs Confusing Tourists?
The Old Bull replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
The old green Busses in Bangkok only cost 31/2 ฿ and were fine once you figured out where they went. I think they figures tourists only used tuk tuks and taxis so they kept the signs only in Thai. -

The Old Bull replied to Social Media's topic in World News

He takes out his ticket pad then he takes out his pen. If the pen doesn't touch the paper then you know he is negotiable. I have only had to pay twice in twenty two tears. First time for going straight through when I was in the left turn lane . He was quick , I am sure he had the ticket written before coming to the window ,just had to add my name. The second time I got stuck at the lights behind someone turning right and the light went to red. He was young spoke perfect English and had a fairly pale complexion, did not look like he needed any tea money. -
UK: Jamaican Drug Offender Avoids Deportation After ECHR Appeal
The Old Bull replied to Social Media's topic in World News
If someone is ordered deported they should be taken straight to the airport not even stopping at the 7/11 for a toothbrush but then the lawyers would not get to feed. Releasing deadbeats into society guarantees the court system will always have work, lawyers, judges, court workers ,probation officers etc. It's surprising how many people one scumbag can keep employed. -

Death penalty sought for Korean murderer in Pattaya
The Old Bull replied to snoop1130's topic in Pattaya News
I do not believe any government should be in the business of killing people, Two wrongs don't make a right. -
Must be a Yank anybody not right of Attila the Hun is a leftie. Biden is senile not smart enough to cause any problems.Handed that little Ukrainian weasel too much money. The "rust belt" did not get rusty overnight, I remember old Bush saying how smart it was to move car parts factories a few feet over the border to Mexico. Free trade and globalism was cool till it bit them in the ass ,now the pendulum has swung the other way and the tariffs are coming out. Meanwhile China builds highways, bridges and high speed railroads , the US builds aircraft carriers.

Thailand Unveils E-Visa System, Streamlining Travel for 2025
The Old Bull replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
I have made two three month Non-O visas online. A reasonably smooth process however each embassy employee likes to add their own touch so you will need some kind of other piece of paper depending who you are dealing with. -
I've had enough of the Tourist Ghettos in Thailand!
The Old Bull replied to BarBoy's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
A few questions you must answer before moving to the sticks. For example what kind of internet access do you need? What kind of food do you need, if you need farang food you may have to stock up and cook your own? Most people only speak Thai or Issan dialect, can you deal with that? I get along fine in the sticks , in twenty two years of coming to Thailand I have never been to Pattaya, only been to Chiang Mai once ,only been to Phuket once and that was enough. -

What a pile of negative comments, personally I like a little ink. Best when it only shows if they undress. -
Thailand Targets Tougher Alcohol Laws to Align with Global Norms
The Old Bull replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
So if the boys are drinking they can't send one of their daughter to the village shop for a bottle of Lao Khow and a pack of smokes, they will have to go themselves. I don't see that as an improvement. -
Thaksin Announces New Anti-Drug Task Force Led by PM Paetongtarn
The Old Bull replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
The problem will continue as long as they only go after the low hanging fruit to make themselves look good. They never seem to work up the chain to catch the real money men, happy with bagging the poor guys at the bottom. -

The nut house more appropriate than the jailhouse, she seriously needs treatment. Or better still let ISIS have her. -
Are Thais taught basic arithmetic?
The Old Bull replied to Lacessit's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
I went to buy a case of twelve UHT milk advertised at $25 per case but I noticed the price per item on the shelf was $1.76 so I asked the cashier to ring them through one at a time. She baulked saying the price per case was always cheaper so we were at a standoff till the manager showed up .After much head scratching and calculating he finally agreed and rang them through one at a time. Another one you have to look at is sugar sometimes two 500g bags are cheaper than 1 kilo. Justa couple of weeks ago I bought two 500ml whipping cream cheaper than a1 liter box.
