That's total nonsense. Trump had 0 years in politics before being elected. He said recently this was a mistake and he's going to correct it (time will tell). All he knew when he got elected was the "best people" suggested them and he went with his advisors. He didn't know any better basically.

Trump isn't a conservative. He's always been a New York liberal. The fact he came to champion middle America just reflects how the politics have shifted left and left him behind. Being a normal patriotic American in 1980 basically makes you far right in 2024 America.

What? This is an anti-endorsement. The reason he's voting against Trump is that he's deeply embedded in the governments underbelly and Trump threatens this. Exactly the kind of person normal Americans hate and want to go away.

I find this hard to believe. Maybe it's just because the sample size is so much larger with weed? I've never known anyone to have a serious mental episode on weed and it's used at least 100x more often than LSD etc... I know some people get paranoid (I hate that stuff myself, makes me feel mental) but never the extreme psychosis. Besides that one friend I mentioned another kid I knew took LSD and stripped down naked, totally unable to communicate with anyone or be controlled. We eventually had to pin him down and force feed him valium's. When he awoke he was totally terrified and didn't know what happened. I don't like weed could ever do that to a person. Those drugs scare me now to be honest. You couldn't pay me to take it now in my 40s and risk anything happening. Life is hard enough to get under control and make the right choices if yo ask me. Maybe if you're stuck in some horrible situation and you don't know what to do that could help steer you in some totally new direction but otherwise avoid like the plague.

My personal experience with those class of drugs is that it's Russian Roulette. Sure try them I guess but it's not like trying a glass of wine for the first time. I think they're more extreme than what is being said here. Maybe if you could regulate the dose it would help when you get the stuff off the street it's impossible to know for sure. I got hooked on Ketamine for a couple years in my late teens and got scared straight after feeling like I was slipping away after one trip. Same with LSD/mushrooms, it was seemingly random what crazy thing may happen or how you would react.

I had a friend in high school lose his mind on mushrooms and entered a permanent state of psychosis afterwards. Literally ruined his life at 18.

sure it's not the worst thing in the world but it's a waste of time and resources. There's no reason to check up on a person every 90 days or make them report their residence every time they travel, especially if they've had a clean record for years on end. If it's money they're after then just ask for the money but stop making us jump through hoops.

I bet they make you show some pay stub or something. This visa feels like they made it for their new tax scheme and they'll have proof of your income when you apply for the visa.

that's the worst case scenario even given your location. It takes me about 4 hours to do extension. The closest border to me is Mae Sai and that's a 9 hour round trip in the car not including the time/hassle it takes to walk over the border and back. Even if they allowed you to do that back to back for 5 years it would be worse than the extension at immigration.

You'd have to travel out of the country every 6 months though which could be annoying. I'd rather file the papers for the marriage extension than do a car trip to some land border or fly out and come back the next day. All most effort and time than papers at immigration.

In their religion who or what dictates who deserves to die? I'm assuming this must be the reason because why would any sane person look for a new home for a dog that killed. There's a little row of bars that have some really sleazy looking young girls near where I live and I pass by cycling often in the evening when they open up. I don't think they're Thai even, seems like Burmese meant for the local guys. I'm sure there's loads of these in various areas more in the actual city but this is the only place that comes to mind.
