bank requirements for immigration purposes
jwest10 replied to jwest10's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Well we did do this before and much more paperwork but the bank stated and a few years ago when the application sent down to Bangkok and one of the then local staff stated it was only in your name on but just a noteabout my wife's name So we had to revert to local office and did state have to start again from scratch but managed to revert to retirement extension 2 Days before extending oh the account in joint names and yes aware of it mate and again thanks. Have had no other complaints and very friendly and efficient. Yes they all have slightly differing policies and just pointing this out and again the misunderstandings. -

Thanks so much and yes as I stated have always kept this in and do not usually touch it but LOL stated to my wonderful wife very early with my coffee and yes stating no problem and might draw down from my UK bank but just asking this question to my local immigration office and not had a reply. I can see why and did promise would contribute, of course a while ago but can see what she was thinking and might as well use it and yes reminded her about 800k; Indeed I suppose for all of us a bit of security for our loved ones and when we pass but that is another topic ie those coming out of woodwork to claim. Just hope the ATM care in date and then draw it down lol -

bank requirements for immigration purposes

Thanks, Dr Jack and enjoy your posts but as they say it depends what office and mine likes to see a small deposit but no problem taking out a large sum for a very happy event and still have 800k in the bank. -
Hi Everyone And apologies if already on forum Yes, I realise the requirements of the minimum 800k being in the bank for 3 months before an extension and my local Immigration likes to see a small deposit each month and on the day etc . There is going to be a very happy occasion in mid January 2022 and may need to draw down some funds and yes my money and this is ok for this purpose. I am just enquiring at this stage and thank you. Have sent a message to Kanchanaburi Immigration and think if I have to and no problems Thanks for any help and appreciate it

Used to know via someone that when he lived in the Bahamas he used to got to the introduction buffets for the tourist and used several hotels for this!!!

Sorry if on wrong thread but do not want to open up too many sites Apart from finding out with the local Government and have not seen any information on when and how to get the booster jab. We are double vaccinated and the 2nd one in October and led to believe in 6 months one can get the booster shot. I realise the medical profession have had this booster but what about the general public and yes those over 70 years old. Thanks all and based in Kanchanaburi

Money for nothing or are you doing on line teaching?
-
Indeed many here have provided a home and yes the vast amount of expenses for their Thai family and some not quite as old as 77 but yes many from the UK with no home or relatives but yes not sure about Australia but medical cover might not be when people are forced back but something like 6 months have heard but one never knows until one experiences events. Yes as in the case of UK born and bred citizens who have more than paid their share of National Insurance contributions they are treated appallingly, not to mention the frozen state pension which in itself is a struggle as so many of us have certainly not got pots of gold.

pROBABLY HASSLE the family

Yes been trying to understand this also and get posts if you worded the question correctly. No ifs and buts I was purely asking the question if one has already the 2 jabs but say returning to Thailand from say the UK and noticed stating that one needs to prove the 2nd jab 2 weeks before departure. Many have this already and we are asking as we have current extensions does this get affected or not. I realise we need Corvit coverage but maybe getting very confused. I was just asking as it appears many families are still being seperated.

If renewing a permission to stay in Thailand there is a lot paperwork and can not find and did not have copies of things but believe the bank and also many copies from other things my wife got but forget the requirements and it can change each year. Can you refresh and remember signing my name on many copies and documents.
