  1. So, basically, posh people are sending tax-payer's money to other posh people, who will accomplish very little, having a jolly old time and earning piles of cash, while tax-payers struggle to get by... 🙄
  2. It would be interesting to see the effect it would have. I guess deported and banned for a while? Perhaps he was concerned it would bring heat back on him or his girlfriend. It does seem fitting that their actions would cause them to suffer major consequences, though. It's always nice when bullies see some justice.
  3. Very kind of her to make such an offer. It's a shame that they don't seem to have taken her up on her offer.
  4. Not that I'm getting upset about it, but how is that worse than people not wearing a helmet or seatbelt? The former is just an opinion that might lead to a comment, while the latter leads to people literally dying.
  5. Absolutely. Have a good look around, wait until no one is coming, then look all around you constantly while crossing quickly. Sadly, it would be very difficult to warn tourists of the dangers of Thailand without ruining its image as a tourist destination. (Roads, violence, scams, women, etc.)
  6. And super-skinny. Seems crazy to me. The exact opposite of attractiveness.
  7. It's really nice to see, but there are loads of cleaners and other manual workers in Thailand who are smoking hot by western standards. It's unlikely that she is beautiful by Thai standards. 🤷‍♂️
  8. "We prefer to be able to gang up on weaker foreigners and attack them if they do something we don't like. These bigger foreigners who know how to fight coming here does not seem fair."
  9. Has a feel of retaliation/defence, rather than a beat down.
  10. Lies. The term is used to describe people who allow their hatred for Donal Trump to make them act in a way so irrational as to appear mentally ill.
  11. How can they possibly not know that not wearing a seatbelt is more dangerous than wearing one???
  12. I believe this is exactly the problem. Overworked, underpaid, horrible students, horrible parents, and no support from the school who will sell you out and side with the students/parents, even where the teacher has done no wrong, simply to avoid hassle for themselves. Few people would want to do such a job, even fewer men, who know full well that many female students and teachers will be desperate to find (or concoct) something they can use to complain about you and get some of those delicious victim points.
  13. Also, talking the problem over with a friend or family member, or getting some sort of stress-relieving exercise.
  14. I think you need to be a little more specific, as the appropriate course of action would differ depending on the reason. If you hate one person, because of something they have done, you have options like take some sort of action against them. Perhaps there are some official avenues to right the wrong. Or perhaps there are some ways you can come to terms with what they have done and move on. On the other hand, if you hate one person because of a problem withing yourself, then that would be more a matter for some form of counselling. If it is a group that you hate, because of their identity (e.g. race), that is probably also something you would want to seek professional help with.
  15. I don't think anyone was suggesting that. The reason that intoxication was brought up was simply that it makes things more dangerous for someone.
  16. So, they just pack the handful of foreign women into their van, then look out over the throngs of Thai prostitutes and ladyboys and say, "Right, that's all the prostitution here dealt with."?
  17. I think Thais are restricted by the fact that they need to believe that people are queueing up to visit Thailand, and they are only really interested in passive income when it comes to tourism. I find it hard to imagine them admitting, "People don't want to visit Thailand anymore, other countries are better. We need to work hard to attract and maintain high levels of tourism." But who knows what the future holds? More visa-free countries, perhaps?
  18. More like highly selective. This is Thailand, after all.
  19. So, they went into the prostitution place and searched for foreign women prostituting themselves, but ignored the Thai ones? Is that right?
  20. A highly intoxicated person is more vulnerable to crime. Do you really not agree with this fairly obvious fact?
  21. It's just a Stalinist tactic to invalidate an argument: "We don't like this thing." "You are just triggered, so no one should listen to you."
  22. Well, it's really just a lot of people saying, "I do not like this". If that triggers you, you probably need to go and have a lay down in a quiet room and think about why. 🤷‍♂️
