  1. Nope, I plug the other charging cable into the standard wall socket !!
  2. My home charger was supplied and installed by the dealer, it uses a secondary circuit from the house electrics (TOU meter) and gives me 1/2 price electricity at most times. Until this was all up and running i used the charging cable, also supplied by the dealer, into a standard wall socket. ( actually i have two of these as i bought one that will work with no earth present, necessary at the mil’s ) Both the wall charger and the granny charger ( yup, it’s not too fast ) plug into the same point on the car.
  3. Your question: ” So if your home charger has a problem, you are stuck.......? “ My answer: ”Nope, I plug the car into the mains…… “ What more info do you need ?? As usual your questions are answered but you don’t understand the answer .
  4. Nope, I plug the car into the mains or go to one of the many chargers nearby.
  5. Most PEA Authority offices will have a charger open 24 hrs with a cheap rate on weekends and at nighttime. My mil lives in a small rural town and the charger apps were showing the nearest charger to be 19km away on the highway, using the PEA app i discovered a charger 4km away just outside of town.
  6. Seems like you didn’t understand the post you quoted. If you have a home charger you don’t need any chargers near your home and only if you travel further afield will you need a charger. I have an EV and a home charger, the nearest outside charger i have used is around 200 km away.
  7. Have you thought about a spare battery ready and charged Owl ?? Here’s how it is done in Taiwan : fbsaver.mp4
  8. The only regular post we get is the TrueVisions bill and they usually can’t be bothered to deliver that . They will wait until 3 or 4 have accumulated and deliver them together, 1 time they delivered 6 at once, i thought we had stopped getting a paper bill !! Live in a moobahn with a regular address, easy to find.
  9. Thanks, yes I saw that on YouTube, i wondered if the bladder was still intact but the nitrogen had leaked it might give me a false impression ?. Ordered a new tank from Lazada.
  10. Similar, the check valve is on the input side of the pump and is a gravity type. The sound is louder on short bursts of the pump, if a toilet is flushed for example the sound is barely noticeable when the pump stops. IMG_3928.mov There is zero movement of the pump and the previous pump I had ( same type ) for 6 years never suffered this it just became noisier ( running ). I donated this to a family member who put remotely and not next to their bedroom window 😒 The bang is felt more at the motor than the tank but I feel this is just a result of the lack of cushion , burst bladder or lack of nitrogen in the tank, than an actual problem with the pump itself. After seeing someone posting a similar video on a Lazada review i have ordered a new tank. If i get chance i will take a look at the check valve.
  11. The pump is not bolted down, it is very close coupled so the pipework keeps it from moving around. Will check if piping or pump jump around when it shuts off. The main issue is the noise as it is right outside our bedroom window and even with the cover back on ( plus a diy cover i made ) it is still a loud bang.
  12. I have a Hitachi pump 3 years old drawing from a tank to feed the house. Recently when the pump stops it stops with a loud bang sound, otherwise it works perfectly. Am assuming it is the accumulator tank bladder that has ruptured or the nitrogen has leaked causing a lack of cushioning ?? Have seen replacement tanks on Lazada for around 850/900 baht . Assume replacing the tank is the best way to go ??
  13. According to the post above yours SHE has the Swedish passport ? “ The post revealed that Noon left for Switzerland on her Swedish passport and her last social media interaction was on April 26. Apparently, before disappearing, Noonposted a picture of herself in the Swiss town of Brig. “
  14. On a lesser scale: An old lady in my wife’s hometown ( rural Nakhon Sawan ) won some money on the lottery, she bought a new Neta V ( 549k ) for the local monk headman, he is still using the car 1 year on .
  15. @mistral53 I had a closer look at mine as it appears your pin is tapered and i assume mine is concave. Well my pins are the same as yours: But the mats underneath have the locking part : So your mats appear to be the problem.
  16. Looks like the “ pin “ in the floor is tapered ?? Plus the mats have a steel ring whereas on mine it is rubber ! I believe you got yours earlier than mine ? mine was delivered Nov 30th. Wonder what other early adopters pins and mats ( i avoided using the word ring for obvious reasons ! ) look like ?? @macahoom ? Either way i should show your dealership my video .
  17. Watched the kids clean the house this morning, their weekly chore !, 19 year old girl taking great pride in sweeping and dusting the house to the best of her ability, 16 year old boy seeing how little he could get away with !! Little lady decided she wanted to go to Rong Kluea market in Saraburi, off we went on a 1 hour drive, luckily I like driving here ( seriously ). Had lunch , I had a wonderful shrimp and garlic spaghetti, little lady had a pad krapow moo and the predictable kids some Naamtok soup. The market was like a sauna !! and nothing different from our local ( Navanakorn ) Rong Kluea, had a brief visit. Decided to visit a temple on a hill we spotted nearby ( Wat Phra Phutthachai ). Some good cardio walking up the steps and some great views from the top. Fed some of the most docile monkeys i have ever seen with some of the most overpriced corn i have ever paid for ( that’ll teach me to be foreign !! ). Drove back home to some great Spotify music selections , little lady and kids slept through some of the best music the 1970’s has to offer !!. Not earth shatteringly exciting or mind numbingly dull but very pleasant.
  18. That is surprising, as i said before mine fit fine, if only i could stop the little lady’s side from sliding forwards.
  19. Confusing thread but i think you are using visa exempt not VOA or waiver ?
  20. What did you make of it @motdaeng ? I think it is the official update from BYD just not delegated to Thailand yet, the guy who posted the video seems to get a lot of insider info from China. As an OTA it seems very small: As mentioned the 3 finger air con trick is superfluous. Wireless Apple CarPlay is handy. Vehicle location on the app is also handy. Presumably there’s some additional tweaks. Still no shortcut to seat memory although I guess OTA programmers are designing BYD updates rather than Seal specific. Personally I would like to see some sort of Sentry Mode application, so the 360° cameras can continue to record for a set period after the car is locked. My front and rear cameras record in this mode ( sensing motion ) but due to 12v battery worries use 1 FPS and for a max of 24 hours. All round recording would be great if even for a short period.
  21. Yes agreed i try not to watch season 1 of anything as soon as it comes out as when season 2 comes around am trying to remember what happened earlier ( those series that give an extensive “ previously on … “ are most welcome ). Billy the Kid is another case, season 2 stopped halfway through around 6 months ago with 4 episodes still yet to appear …… very annoying.
  22. In no way were you inferring that the solar panels on the Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre were Chinese 😂😂 Pathetic !!
  23. https://www.facebook.com/groups/844499835639464/permalink/7503199296436118/?mibextid=W9rl1R Here’s the YouTube video explaining the process, it is made by the Sinjet guy who supplies the rear/front camera and led mirror for Seal, Dolphin and MG4 etc. He side loaded apps for me, a young guy who is a confirmed geek but seems to know a lot of inside stuff about these updates.
