  1. Well the requirements have changed now . At the time under 60’s had to have proof of underlying medical issue to obtain Pfizer.
  2. The Cleaner (2021) tv series 6 eps 6.9 imdb Greg Davies ( Man down, Taskmaster, Inbetweeners, Cuckoo) stars as Paul ‘Wicky’ Wickstead a cleaner of crime scenes. Expect some outlandish humour and unlikely situations from GD with some help from David Mitchell ( Peep Show ) and Stephanie Cole ( Man Down, Doc Martin) A far cry from: Cleaner (2007) 6.1 imdb Sam L Jackson, Ed Harris and Eva Mendes among others. Jackson stars as Tom Cutler, a retired police officer now runs a company which specialises in crime scene clean up. He is assigned a clean up job post a homicide. After doing the job he discovers that he has been conned into cleaning up a crime scene and must try to unravel the mystery behind what happened in that house. Not a great rating from imdb but anything with Eva Mendes must be worth watching imho.
  3. Ghost Town ( 2008 ) 6.7 imdb Ricky Gervais is not everyone’s cup of tea I know but this movie shows a little of his serious side , along with the wise cracking of course, more recently seen in After Life. RG plays self centred Dr Bertram Pincus ( I think they possibly overstretched a little with the name ) a dentist who finds he can communicate with the recently deceased and help them , well one in particular, to find closure and send them on their way, a variation on the Ghost/Just like Heaven type of movie. A nice little rom com with a feel good ending which works well with Ricky’s witty repartee. Whether you like this movie all depends on how much you like RG, I can take him or leave him but liked this comedy.
  4. The Protégé ( 2021 ) 6.1 imdb Seems like a familiar formula this, a good cast ( Maggie Q, Sam L Jackson and Michael Keaton ) try every trick in the book to make this work but it seems like a montage of every super beautiful assassin working to avenge the murder of her aged mentor who taught her everything she knows movie ever made. The stately home residence seems very familiar as does the using a fire hose to descend a few floors while killing a few bad guys on the way down , all in the first 30 seconds of the trailer, sets the tone for the rest of the movie. It’s not a particularly bad movie but coming so soon after the Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard ( unfortunate timing ) it just seems like another gorgeous female dressed in a tight leather jumpsuit ( not that there is anything wrong with that !! ) running around shooting people . I made it about halfway through then the attempt to hang her with a bedsheet scene was the straw that broke the camels back. I much preferred Colombiana or Catwoman’s Halle Berry in this genre .
  5. Just binged all 7 seasons of Bosch , excellent series. Kinda disappointing that Juan the shoe-shine guy didn’t turn out to be a key player but hey …. maybe he will have his own spin off show ????
  6. When I was at college a kid reckoned he could smash a ball from a bearing by putting it on the anvil and hitting it with a sledgehammer !! The college instructor came back into the room to find us hiding behind lathes, millers and shapers while 2 kids emerged from the arc welding booths covered in glass !!
  7. The Sisters Brothers (2018) 6.9 imdb A quirky, dark movie with some dark humour about 2 gunslinging assassins sent to track down a gold prospector who has a “ fail safe “ formula to find gold !! John C Reilly and Joaquin Phoenix play the bickering brothers and Jake Gyllenhaal plays a scout also on the trail of the gold prospector. Despite the great cast this movie failed to make it big at the box office and some very mixed reviews on imdb. But , I liked it, it has the 1970’s Western formula, lots of gunfights, drinking and never ending tracking on horseback through some beautiful scenery.
  8. I visited Logroño a few times during my working life, staying in the city but the factory was in Agoncillo ( Crown Bevcan España ). A nice little city , didn’t get to see much of the surrounding countryside but did see quite a few bottles of Rioja meet their maker !!
  9. Much prefer watching Steve to Angie !! ( from an acting point of view !! ) Who can forget Mr Pink or SB’s creepy part in Con Air …………. altogether now …………….. “ he’s got the whole world in his hands “
  10. The QR code on the MedPark vaccine certificate will give you the green vaccine certificate. Or you could download the MohPromt app , enter the 13 digit code from the MedPark paperwork and your phone number to get an OTP , then you should have all the info on the app. ( if you cannot get the OTP because MOPH don’t have your phone number call or email MedPark and they will sort it out within the hour ).
  11. Affects people in different ways. My daughter and her husband had flu like symptoms for 3 days after their 2nd Pfizer. I had slight stiffness of the upper arm around the jab with the 2nd Pfizer. Nothing with the 1st Pfizer except for the normal sensation you get with an inter muscular injection.
  12. Mine didn’t work and gave me a message that it wasn’t in the MOPH database. The MOPH website is all in Thai so I sent an email to MedPark asking them to add my phone number to their vaccination record, they replied within the hour that it was added and I was able to use the MohPromt app.
  13. I got my 600000 number after 1st jab at MedPark but I assume it is generated by the MOPH. Where did you get vaccinated ??
  14. Daniel by Elton John My brother was a huge Elton fan and when he died in 1981 , aged 22, my parents used to play his albums . My mother said she felt like he was back in the family home. Whenever Daniel would start to play my mother, and father, would always shed a few tears. It’s a mixture of the lyrics, my brothers memory and the memory of my parents struggling to hold back their emotions every time they heard this brings a tear to my eyes.
  15. Me and my then wife would cut a night out short to get home in time for HSB , I think it was on late Friday evenings. Hard to believe it was 40 years ago. The whole thing is on fmovies if I want to watch it but, like you say, probably better to keep it in the memory banks , after all it will only remind me of my 1st wife !! ????
  16. This one looks like a keeper , good old down to earth cop/detective drama. Who knows I might revisit Hill Street Blues after this !!
  17. Soo, looking for some lengthy series to get my teeth into I tried the following. Supernatural ( tv series 2005 - 2020 ) 327 eps ( yes 327 !! ) 8.4 imdb With all those eps and a high IMDb score this could see me for life !! Nope ……. lasted 3 eps. Run of the mill sci fi which will appeal more to teenagers I think. A couple of young good looking brothers with an endless supply of weapons and fake id’s driving a muscle car and helping out folks who are being terrorised by some mythical being, beautiful young girl compulsory in every episode I guess. Might have lapped this up 45 years ago but need something a little more inspiring nowadays. Vera ( tv series 2011 - ) 46 eps 8.0 imdb Brenda is a great actress ( actor ?? ) but straight away I thought she doesn’t suit the grizzled angry Vera character. Lasted 1 1/2 eps and got the distinct feeling that the premise of taking a cut and dry case which seems to morph into a spiderweb of deception and murder wasn’t going to make the grade. Just watch 10 minutes of S01E02 to see what I mean. [One minute they are investigating a woman killed by a bus , which somehow leads to a murder case she was jailed for 11 years ago and is apparently innocent !! ] So, sorry Vera, I’ll put you on the back burner for now and maybe return some rainy Sunday . Bosch ( tv series 2014 - 2021 ) 68 eps 8.4 imdb This one seems to get mixed reactions from the TVF Movie and TV Critics but I will give it a go. Watch this space !!
  18. So I emailed MedPark and asked them to add my phone number to their records so I could open MohPromt app. They replied within the hour saying they had done it. Tested and it worked ! Another gold star for MedPark.
  19. Some great pics there Owl , I love to watch the guys with the nets , certainly my type of fishing, never was the sitting all day with a rod and reel type .
  20. Sounds like today is quieter than yesterday as is to be expected as yesterday had the returnees from Aug 10th ( first Pfizer day at MedPark ) which was mayhem. Also noted that the 30 mins seems to be determined by the length of time it takes to do the paperwork. Both my “ 30 mins “ were more like 20 mins.
  21. Yes, that’s not the norm, neither is the “ original work permit “ that is requested. I , as many also did, obtained 2 x Pfizer jabs from MedPark without work permits or medical certificates, ( med certs required if under 60 but work permits not required at all ) The hospital seems to be making its own rules.
  22. “ under “ 60 ?? Over 60’s don’t need medical certificates.
  23. As there are some posters on here who visited MedPark yesterday, did anyone see the nasty accident narrowly avoided ?? After the numbers 150 - 180 were called to descend the escalator we were immediately told to wait. At the head of the queue was a 60ish foreigner with obvious immobility issues aided by a smartly dressed young Thai lady. The guy dropped some papers on the escalator and immediately stepped forward to pick them up. As the steps started to descend he fell forward and if it wasn’t for the quick reactions of his carer and a guy behind him he would have gone head over heel down the moving steps. They managed to stop him falling completely forward and avoided some possible severe injuries. I sat next to the guy later on and as he appeared to be free from any major injuries he was certainly shook up. He was very anxious to get vaxxed and should have really taken the elevator !!
  24. The name of the vaccine, Pfizer is the manufacturer It’s all good.
