Around ฿90000 which included follow up appointments and medication, Dr Sante Bangkok Jomtien. It depends on the lense which is fitted, my left eye required a more expensive lense. You can have lenses where you won’t need reading specs, more expensive but I was advised they were not for me because of my glaucoma.

I had 45 minute prep with eye drops to freeze my eye, the actual procedure took 15 minutes, I was allowed to leave after 15 minutes in the Recovery Romm, no more than a couple of hours at the hospital.

If you go get there about 15 minutes before opening time as there are always 4/5 customers, don’t be disappointed as she doesn’t always open, some times has ‘holidays’

I have glaucoma and just recently had my cataracts done, she did the pinhole test, the Visual Acuity Test and tried a few different lenses, her opinion was she couldn’t improve my right eye but could my left eye with glass although didn’t spend a great deal of time on that. I never asked not did she volunteer a prescription, I didn’t see any signs of a computer or printer in the office.

Canal is the best option maybe not the cheapest option that way they would have to construct two container unloading facilities, of course some see it as dividing Thailand in two.

I went there the other, eyetest, it’s always very busy, I was first in line but 4/5 Thais turned up after me. I think she ‘rushed’ me, charged ฿1000 for eye test, 15 minutes it took.

They don’t employ optometrists.

In fairness Nick Dean said he was going to do away with the ‘casting couch’ where the bar girls get drinks bought for them by online viewers. I have no idea if he ever did as I unsubscribed from the channel but I doubt it as he will get a ‘cut’ of the lady drinks. i also unsubscribed from Buzzin Trevor as all he does now like many YouTubers is walk endlessly round the sois in Pattaya. i found both channels very informative during Covid with up to date reports but both are extremely boring struggling for content and probably only entertaining for viewers who don’t live in Pattaya.

Nick Dean and Buzzin Trevor do a good job of promoting Pattaya both have 1000s of followers I often wonder how many actually visiting Pattaya visit their bars. I used watch NTVI on YouTube on a Sunday but I was put off by the girls sitting on a sofa getting p***** on drinks bought by sunscribers, tbh it was embarrassing.

Yes lots of positivity but its customers the bars need and currently there are not or never will be enough customers to make some bars profitable, the new complex looks very nice on the way out of Myth Night heading towards Soi Buakhao. Nick Dean must be spending big money on rent for his 4 bars, is he getting the customers, I never go down that way at night albeit they are empty during the day. Bars on Soi Buakhao are selling small bottles 50/60 baht during happy hour, he once quoted to me bars selling beer at that price shouldn’t be in business ? I believe the days of beer swilling western tourists is long gone now, Pattaya will still attract the over 50s single men but not in the same numbers as before.

Put it back on the banned list for the time being and start again regulating what’s legal and not legal instead of going round in circles trying to pick the bits out already in place which isn’t 100% legal or otherwise.

Has there been a notable increase in tourism since weed was removed from the narcotics list ? I do sympathise with the shop owners and farmers who might go out of business but why start up a business when it wasn’t in black and white what the laws were going to be ?

Good for you but you not all of the older citizens are technically savvy and probably don’t have a smart phone. There has also been loads of reports the system doesn’t always work.

Owners responsibility, why should the renter be fined if the owner hasn’t done a TM30.

Plenty of quiet bars it’s just the others next to them are not.

I thought it was the owners responsibility to do a TM30 not the tenant or are some owners too lazy to do one ?

I have been out today, I spoke with some Stall Holders in Mike Shopping Mall and The Night bazaar, they all said the same very quiet including on an evening. Bar owners must be expecting plane loads of tourists as they are now adding more bars to Made In Thailand. 2019 was a one off with numbers made up by the Chinese, their economy has slumped therefore the tourists numbers from China will be down. Europeans, looking at the flight prices they have not decreased by much and Thailand forgets many countries have economies which are in recession.

I renewed my sons U.K. Passport here in Thailand, no proof of address was required ?

There have been several posts on Facebook recently where renters say they have to do the TM30 because the house owner won’t do one. I can’t understand why the renters feel they have to, as the op says it’s the owner’s responsibility, surely a renter can’t be fined at immigration if a TM30 hasn’t been filed on their behalf ?

I am sure if you went round the bars there would be an obliging lady for your wife at a price.

You unload the containers from a ship at one side of Thailand then you transport them to another ship by rail to the other side of the country for their onward destination, you’re doubling the costs already. It would also mean developing 2 new ports. The Thai government don’t want a canal as it would split the country in 2.
