You are happy that our nurses are homeless!!!!!! PH -
So treat the causes of those increases What absolute and utter tosh!!! Nowhere, ever, has a gun, not held by someone, ever shot anyone. Never. When the 2nd Amendment was written, howoften could a gun fire before being reloaded? What was the muzzle velocity? How far would a round carry? Your "justifications" get weirder and more outlandish pretty much every time you post. There is NO reason whatever for having assault weapons in the hand sof the populatn as a whole. PH

Did you lose any other rights in (or post) 1994 when the Federal Assault Weapons BAn was implemented? Did gun killings drop in the US in the 10 years following that Law? When the ten year law ceased to be in effect, did gun killings rise again? PH (For the hard of thinking, the answers are no, yes and yes in hat order)

Tell that to the Health Service workers who are having to go to food banks to feed their families. But "I'm OK, Jack" lives on. PH -

We've taken back control doncha know? Loooook....Our Passports are now Blue again (loud cheers). That they are made in Poland (in the EU) by a French-Duth (both in the EU) firm when the previous Burgundy passports were made by DeLaRue (UK firm) just highlights the utter lunacy of Brexit. PH -

The demise has only just begun, but begun it has. Unlike the extra £350 million a week for the NHS and other such tosh the gullible were fed. PH -
Comprehension guy, comprehension... Six foreigners were detained for overstaying their visa with two of them being fined, one was arrested for working without a permit, four were held for illegal entry and 10 others on online gambling, carrying firearms and narcotics charges. Six were overstay, of whom two were fined. One more no work permit Four more illegal entry 10 others HTH PH

When the farang do gooders take over
Phulublub replied to georgegeorgia's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Agree. By the same logic that those advocating book-banning use, the Bible should be pretyy much first on the list to be banned...numerous verses advocate violence....one suggests gang-rape being acceptable (Lot)...one has "God" praising a racist murderer (Numbers)...one has a father murder his daughter as a sacrifice to his "Lord" (Judges)...and many, many other examples. But that would not fit their agenda. PH -
Passport needed for travel around Thailand?
Phulublub replied to ChomDo's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Which is fine for you as you clearly travel overseas enough to have been able to convince the UK Gubmint that you need a second passport. That is not an option for the vast majority so, again, is a strawman diversion. PH -
How do I pay my electricity bill online?
Phulublub replied to mrjohn's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
It is a little (!) non-sensical that we can pay PEA from BBL from inside the PEA App, but cannot do the same from inside the BBL app (or website). Been doing it for ages, but DD would be simpler... Anyone have a PDF copy of the PEA DD Form that we could download and print? Canot find one online and the PEA BangLamung office is in Naklua so not convenient for many (me included). PH -
Passport needed for travel around Thailand?
Phulublub replied to ChomDo's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
No-one is saying that. Stop with the strawman. Several here have travelled domestically for many years without their passports so clearly not 100% of the time and not 100% of foreigners. PH -
Passport needed for travel around Thailand?
Phulublub replied to ChomDo's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Totally missing the point and not at all what the OP said. Not ALL foreginers will have (for example) a Thai Driving Licence. I do, and have used that innumerable times when asked for "passport". It has NEVER been unnacceptable. Only times I need (and therefore carry my passport are for foreign travel and to renew my extension. Lives in the safe otherwise. PH -

Passport needed for travel around Thailand?

How can you link to something that does not exist? That a bank requires a passport to open an account is a requirement of the bank, not a law of the land. PH -

Wrong. Phot ID...Thai DL has always been accepted for me. PH -
Passport needed for travel around Thailand?
Phulublub replied to ChomDo's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Which Law is this? There is, I think, a huge misconception because foreigners are often asked for "passport" when what the official/hotel cleak/other actually require is some form of photo ID, for which your Thai DL is perfect. I have driven all over Thailand, stayed in numerouse hotels, been stopped at numerous checkpoints, once got caught speeding (official army/police joint op) and never once, not once, has my DL not been sufficient. I do carry photos of my passport - ID page, visa, latest extension - and have them on my phone and laptop, but have never needed them. Not once. PH -

Millions forced to skip meals as UK cost of living crisis deepens
Phulublub replied to Scott's topic in World News
Price does not always equal enjoyment. When I lived in the UK the most used piece of equipment in my kitchen was the slow cooker. Cheap cuts of meat with variety of herbs, spices and plenty of veg, cooked low and slow.....fabulous flavours and much preferred to way more expensive cuts. PH
