  1. What a pathetic post. You (and those who like your psot) never date, or see, or have sex with, any woman who has ever been with another man? Never ending supply of virgins is, AFAIAA a myth propogated by those who encourage young and impressionable young men that martyrdom will give them this PH
  2. Keep trying...a long lasting cough can be an early symptom of some quite serious ailments. PH
  3. No....just look at all those of us who keep 800K permanently here year after year.... PH
  4. Moved banks mid-year last year - showed both sets of diocuments at (Jomtien) Immifration for renewal - no problems at all. PH
  5. But if one hundred of you clubbed together, without the insurance company, to pay any claim up to $5M, then you would all be $2000 a year better off.....on average....but the $2000 is what you pay to ensure that if the worst happens to YOU then you are covered. PH
  6. Possibly. The Insurance companies have overheads and make a profit from underwriting, so it is not a zero sum game. If everyone self-insured then some would be underfunded, some would be just right, and some would be overfunded....but overall, the population would be better off. PH
  7. From the BBC website: _________ Secret Service agents found the powder during a routine inspection in an area that is accessible to tour groups. President Joe Biden and his family were at Camp David in Maryland at the time. A senior law enforcement official told the BBC's US partner CBS News the substance was found in a storage facility routinely used by White House staff and guests to store mobile phones. _____________ So maybe nothing to do with POTUS, or his family, or their immediate entourage at all? PH
  8. My confusion arose because in replying to a post that said, in part, "but the blame for that is fully on the UK Passport Office, not Key Visa". You said "I disagree with that 100%" Others may, like me, have been similarly confused. PH
  9. To be clear: You travelled to UK on your old passport, that had a re-entry stamp. While there you got a new passport Your old passport went...where? How was Key Visa in any way to blame for its non return? If they were not (and I cannot think of a single reason why they would be), then it is nothing to do with them that you returned to Thailand visa exempt. After you do that, you are stuck and do indeed need to restart the long term visa process. I have recounted above a (different) experiene with KV, but despite my lack of enthusiasm for them, see no reason to leave you to bad mouth them for events that were not of their making. PH
  10. I am confused. You got a new passport in the UK, but your old passport was in Thailand (with Key Visa?) How dod you travel fro Thailand to UK without a passport? PH
  11. Sounds as though a friend of mine was not alone in having Key Visa fail to check things properly. He used them to get a new passport for his daughter. Application rejected because the photos were well out of date (a big difference from a two year old to a seven year old!). Key Visa's excuse was "we do a lot of these so lose the personal touch". What? Isn't their knowledge and expertise part of what you are paying for? Cannot imagine their service will have improved since Darren passed on. PH
  12. And lead is ever so slightly more common than lithium..... PH
  13. I emailled from within the website after logging in, so don't know, and checked on mobile app where account -> Help -> Scroll down -> Contact Us gets you to a similar "Email Us" message box The reply came from [email protected] which may get a response - but suggest you do as I did and send from within website or app. PH
  14. While that is correct, that is for Thailand Cards. I had an answer to my query: ______________________________ Hello, Thanks for getting in touch. For the Wise card, the delivery address doesn’t have to be the address on your account. For instance, you can order the card to your office, or to a friend or relative’s place. Just be aware that the estimated standard delivery time may take up to three weeks to arrive, depending on the destination. Read more: Can I get my new card delivered abroad? Hope this answers your query. Do let us know if you have any questions. ______________________ Clicking on the link gives us: International delivery is available for Wise cards for most regions. Europe and UK For the first order, personal cards can be delivered and activated in Europe only. Replacement cards can be delivered internationally. Business cards have international delivery as an option for the first and replacement orders. Australia, New Zealand, Japan and Singapore Personal and business cards have international delivery as an option for the first and replacement orders. Malaysia and Canada Personal cards have international delivery as an option for the first and replacement orders. USA and Brazil International delivery is not available at the moment. ___________________ So, for the OP (and anyone else) in Europe, a replacement card can be sent here HTH PH
  15. Is that for a card connected to a Thai Baht denominated account, or for delivery of a GBP or EURO denominated account. Or is there no difference? I have a Wise card sitting in UK waiting for me to pick up when I next go visit. Not in a hurry, so no personal involvement in this, but interesting nonetheless and have emailled WISE to ask if they will deliver a card to an address other than that registered with the account. PH
  16. I think (!) I have set up an automated payment from my KBank app to automatically pay my PEA bill every month.....tried on BBL app but no joy. Unfortunately, had already paid April's bill so will have to wait till next month to confirm PH
  17. Oh, the irony! PH
  18. Just as your Grandparents may be outliers. But maybe previous generations were FAR more active than most (Western) people are today, so they could pretty much eat anything (non-processed) they wished. PH
  19. In a nutshell PH
  20. Not me that lacks comprehension. To determine whether Thailnd's driving statistics are good, bad, or indifferent, one has to compare with other countries. Exactly the same as comparing Songkran statistics with those from other periods of the year to see if this period is any better, or worse, or just the same. You put your head in the sand if you wish; I will continue to look at a fuller picture. PH
  21. Comparig Thailand to other countries and their driving statistics is entirely relevent. Get off your box. PH
  22. How big is the problem? Last time I looked at this, the numbers for KSI in Thailand were comparable to those in the UK, especially considering that a much larger proportion of km driven are on much less safe scooters rather than in a very safe passenger box. PH
  23. On their own, these numbers are menaingless, even if totally accurate. How many die on a "normal" day? How does this week compare to all other weeks in the year. Crucially, what is the total number of passenger miles travelled this week compared to other weeks - to give a "deaths per xxx km travelled" truer comparison. PH
  24. Repostign what was removed would indeed be silly. Posting something useful, honest, open, factual....go on, show us some examples of fishing industry nusiness that are doing well because of Brexit. PH
