  1. So if there's corruption somewhere else, you cant talk about corruption in Thailand? There may be corruption in my home country, but I can tell you it's orders of magnitude less than in Thailand. Let me guess "If you dont like it, go home!!" ????‍♂️ ????????
  2. he's making 'content'. Part of the weak story in this vid was to get the discount, and show off his dreadful thai I don't get people that view these clips as a real life interaction - he'e pointing a camera at her, is she likely to refuse a 5b discount?
  3. Right. I'm trying to ascertain his work intentions whilst in Thailand; whether or not he will fly under the radar, before I'd suggest that the Elite visa is suitable.
  4. Its not really clear: is he coming to Thailand to work? It's not legal to work on an elite visa. You can not get a work permit on an elite visa. If all work was online, doesnt involve thai companies and no financial aspects were done in Thailand, then in reality; how would they know? www.thailandelite.com He can apply directly there.
  5. This place just behind Fortune town used to be 4xxx p/m https://goo.gl/maps/AfbbxFA4ieZFJ8GB9 Probably around 5 or 6 now. Its pretty grim ????
  6. Which is the standard get out clause used, without explaining what it means, knowing that most cant read it. refused on Section 12, 2 of the immigration act for ไม่มีปัจจัยยังชีพตามสมควร
  7. He was being filmed, it's hardly a natural exchange. He does it for views, not altruism - gives 2000, makes 10000..... I don't mind these kind of vids per se, but lets call it what it is
  8. the extension delays you having to exit the country by 30 days. thats it.
  9. Your multi entry visa expired on the 12th May. To get the maximum possible time out of this visa you need to re-enter before the expiry date. This is simple to understand. Previous extensions, entries, immigration office stamps are irelevant. Poipet is a terrible border, who regulary deny entry to people with valid visas, telling them they must go fly. You should be able to enter on a visa exemption at an airport, but if i were you I be sure to have proof of onward travel, and 20k thb CASH, or currency equivalent - as the denial stamp may raise some eyebrows.
  10. The OP ought to mention that during the 15 year extension period there are no airport transfers provided. Thats the only difference to the easy access 5 year visa that he had originally. It's a pretty good deal for another 15 hassle free years.
  11. Many people mention this LTR visa as better alternative to an Elite visa. Without doubt its a better option, but the requirements to qualify are pretty tough, meaning in reality very few can get one
  12. Leave the monarchy is fine, as long as they can 'fine tune' section 112. Its reach is too long, and vague in application, anybody can raise a charge, and the punishments are waaaaaaay too severe.
  13. How about tax on capital gain if selling at profit?
  14. I've heard good things about deemoney - its an website/app that works for outbound transfers.
  15. You believe that a senate made up of military appointed 'yes men' have Thailand's 'culture, traditions and heritage' at heart? I don't think theres much for us to debate to be honest.
  16. The black Swan on Soi 21 was always good quality food, give that a try. Homemade beef and onion pie is mint
  17. This is correct, but the problem here is that its now down to the rental shop staff to determine if a license is valid for motorbikes. Potentially upwards of 50 different format licenses, with different rules / clauses e.g. a UK licence is valid for bikes upto 125cc (Actually the rider must also complete the compulsory basic training and display 'L' plates) so having that displayed on their license may look like they have a bike endorsement, but in reality they may have never ridden a bike.
  18. You think foriegners ride under trucks or into streetlights in a fit of road rage?
  19. I'm all for it if it benefits the girls, ya know, the hyperbole of 'protecting the workers rights' actually meaning something, only I'm not sure what will change.. Regular STD checks is a good thing. Apart from this what else would change? Sickpay?! Holidays? Surely they'd be on a freelance (litterally!) setup?? How is the employment done at the large established Go-go bars, for example - Are they employed as dancers / waitresses? does the bar pay social security based on the minimum salary they pay? Or is it all cash in hand, day by day nothing on paper? So, as already mentioned, they may open themselves up to paying tax, depending on what they declare - which is another can of worms. Seems to me like the upside is for the taxman, and not so much the workers, apart from being able to say 'I have a legitimate job'. Just some random thoughts on it.
  20. This is absolute nonsense.... The 600 Laos specials are terrible copies and you just have to look at one let alone hold one. Now the so-called 'superclones' are getting very good, and even attemp at copying the movement - Superclones cost 700 - 1200 USD
  21. What is this saying?! are you talking up washing up? - lang jaan...or you want to see her long johns?! or what? ????????
  22. The market value is considerably higher than retail. 2nd hand steel Daytonas sell for 1mil +
  23. Sad news indeed. Helped many a fellow expat, myself included. RIP UbonJoe ????
  24. There is already a 700b departure tax. An RD questionairre implies they would like to create a new tax. So, following on from the 300b tourist tax thats likely coming soon, it appears this government is desperate for cash.
