  1. Looking for recommendations for a reliable, established travel agency with a shop in BKK or Pattaya. Trips required will be package tours to various, mostly Asian, countries. Not wanting referrals for any online stores thanks, must be able to walk in and discuss in person. TIA
  2. Agree. I was booked on the same flight as the OP. AA refused a full refund and they then produced clauses which negated my credit card chargeback claim. Never again, never.
  3. Generally speaking yes, but not with flights. They have far greater time limits in which to lodge credit card chargeback disputes.
  4. Agreed. Other options: have a nurse as your GF; reside in an apartment complex that has a live-in caretaker/manager and become good friends with them.
  5. Photo of tickets or it's just more of your usual BS
  6. Life without parole can be worse than the death penalty. Prisoners on death row often ask to put to death especially when they know it's going to done humanely (put to sleep).
  7. The TGF will never have to handle anything because the hypothetical situation about what to do if denied entry would be unlikely without any sort of warning issued beforehand. So a hypothetical answer of having my professionally-employed Thai partner try to hep me was provided - as “amazing” as you thought it to be. FYI, and following some helpful advice from others on here, I now believe it not to be a good idea in my situation. So if I answer anymore hypotheticals, there’s no need for you to again tell me there will be problems. TIA.
  8. Yes I know, and I thanked you for it. No need to keep repeating the same advice.
  9. Plan? You are wrong. I have never said it was a “plan”. Read the OP again…it’s asking what problems could be expected …and some very knowledgeable and helpful AN members have kindly provided some.
  10. It was a hypothetical question. Why was the response “amazing” ?
  11. Let the TGF, who is a medical professional and will be there with me, handle it and see what happens.
  12. Thanks, and agree that eventually I will get hassled (minor problem) as apposed to refused entry (disaster!). When hassle day arrives I'll start doing the extensions again. Money isn't the issue, the issue is why bother doing something that isn't required whilst the 60 day stamps are being handed out.
  13. Thanks Dr J. What sort of issues exactly would I have please?
  14. Thanks ML, I hear ya loud and clear, but if and when I hit the rocks, I will grab a ret ext again. Yes of course, they are cheap and reliable but just wondering why bother doing ret ext's (and assoc. paperwork) if not needed.
  15. I have always renewed my Non O 12 month extensions to stay based on retirement but the TGF and I are now travelling abroad approximately every 50 days. The new 60 day visa means I don’t need to bother renewing my Ret Extensions, so just wondering if I can expect any problems down the track if I ditch doing the yearly retirement extensions until if and when Thailand ever changes their 60 day visas on arrival back to 30 days? Edit: I'm not looking for any suggestions for another type of visa, instead just want to know if I can expect problems with immigration by continually leaving and arriving every 50 days.
  16. It won’t be a gift, it’s payment for accommodation - as already explained above.
  17. As already mentioned in this thread I won’t be exchanging anything. That’s being done by others. Please scroll up and read what was posted before asking more already-asked-and-answered questions.
  18. How wrong you are. I know Koh Chang very well and it's as boring as batsh!t after a week.
  19. Great that you like permanently living the very quiet life on an island as small as Koh Chang. Many others do also, many don’t. Koh Chang will remain a holiday destination for me. Definitely a nice spot to getaway and relax at …but just for a week! Give me the city life over an island life, please GOD! 🙏
  20. Koh Chang is indeed heaven - for a holiday of about 1 week duration. But living there forever more? Oh my God, never!
  21. Yes there is. In fact, over 10,000 of them. Google is your friend.
  22. Yes, so do you have any advice for them?
  23. New ladyboy bars are no longer allowed to be added at Nana Plaza.
