Seeking Recommendations for Alcohol Rehab Centers in Thailand
CanadaSam replied to pedro01's topic in I Drink Too Much Forum
One should actually research the cost of rehabs in different countries to realize that Thailand has some of the most expensive centers in the world. Most rehabs all work off the same playbook, using drugs to detox first, then psychological treatments with physical exercise and a daily routine to bring one back to sanity. Places like India have very good treatment centres at a tenth of the cost of Thailand. -
Not in the case of Thailand, which has enough attractions, but missing casinos, to attract wealthy Chinese, and Indians, who simply live to gamble. They will get their wish of wealthy tourists if the open a few casinos, in spots close to airports, but not, if they allow it to be totally out of control like marijuana!

Nick, just to let you know, you don't need to paste everything on a link, everything after the ? is useless, just tracking data.

Can of tuna, mixed with some finely chopped onions, and mayonnaise, in a plastic box. Smear some on a piece or two of bread, more than enough for me. Lasts 3 to 4 days in the fridge!

How wrong you are, Hummin! This guy is a pessimist, first reply of his to a suggestion was "don't have that kind of money" without even asking how much it would require, second reply of his was "sounds like a scam" when told it requires zero money! This guy was born to fail, I suggest we leave it to him to do just that!

For God's sake, don't give up on her! She is trying to get into a respectable field, kudos to her, and you as a parent for supporting her.

‘Bigger than Nuremberg’ Files That Could Bring Assad to Justice
CanadaSam replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Killing even ONE human being would probably put me into a state of depression that I could never get out of, similar to most "normal" human beings. These guys that murder thousands, even hundreds of thousands, must be a special breed of animal that never developed normal, humane brains. -

This is just another variation on Darwin's weeding out the stupid from our gene pool. -
Dubai's Dark Side: The Strict Rules That Could Land Tourists in Jail

<deleted> place, only somebody who wants to throw away their money for things you can get in many, many other places in the world would go there. Same for almost all "muslim" countries. -
Disgusted at the sick people on this forum making fun of a serious crime. YOU don't know if she was an honest, innocent, gullible, young girl, but are immediately coming up with all kinds of jokes about her being a prostitute! Reminds me of Indians / Arabs who think ALL girls in Thailand are ho's, and get locked up for it. Shame on you, she could be a relative of yours that was raped, find that funny?

Kudos to Sheryl for calmly answering OP's questions numerous times, him obviously being unwilling to take (valuable) advice. I personally used to import medicines at the beginning of my stay in Thailand, but very quickly found out there is a world of difference in cost by buying it here, even if taking two tablets to make up for one imported tablet.

Well, we all know the world is over-crowded, so let's hope the gene pool gets more intelligent, due to folks like this. -
Official Dismissed After Exposing 500m Baht Inheritance Fraud
CanadaSam replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
I'd be more interested in knowing which local news outlets carried this story, because that would result in vast public outrage, which would move this sad issue closer to a fair conclusion faster, and justice for this brave woman! -

For Canadians, the embassy only cuts a small corner portion of the entire passport and gives it back to you (if you request it back). -
Grab a regular massage off Thaifriendly - my experience
CanadaSam replied to henrik2000's topic in Pattaya
And, OP, your post would have been a LOT more interesting had you included how the massage(s) went, preferably in detail, should I ever wish to have the in-call experience! -
Bangkok Teen Fatally Stabbed After Being Confronted Over Belt
CanadaSam replied to Georgealbert's topic in Bangkok News
At the rate this type of senseless serious crime is increasing amongst teenagers and young adults, I think the authorities should consider building more jails as a priority. You can not let murderers like this roam freely in society, no matter their age!
