  1. Neither Ann Widdecombe or Nigel Farage had any hand whatsoever in choosing the Brexit negotiating team. As you say, you are not well versed in British politics, but perfectly entitled to give your opinion, and I haven’t noticed anyone trying to stop you from so doing.
  2. With respect, you do not understand it correctly. Pointless arguments about whether or not it would be beneficial for the UK to rejoin the EU not withstanding, the decision to leave was made by a democratic referendum; it was a majority decision to leave, and there was no clause for a subsequent vote to try to overturn the result, or to rejoin at a later point in time. The issue of rejoining is only raised by people that still refuse to accept, rather than support, a democratic decision simply because it does not align with their own opinion and wishes.
  3. The UK will not decide to rejoin the EU; so anything you say, or have said subsequently, is fantasising and completely and utterly pointless.
  4. Indeed. I find it remarkable that some people are still wetting their pants about the result of a referendum that took place 7 years ago. It was decided by a majority vote of the eligible electorate that chose to use their right to vote; there will not be another referendum, despite all the squealing from those that only support democratic decisions when they align with their own opinion.
  5. So the OP reads the Guardian, and doesn’t understand how a democratic vote works …. quelle surprise ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  6. What a load of the dog's dangly bits
  7. "Just as it is impossible to know when a swimming fish is drinking water, so it is impossible to find out when a government servant is stealing money" Kautilya …...... Indian philosopher
  8. OP, You seem to be expecting full-on round the clock private care from overworked, underpaid Doctors and Nurses at a government hospital. Put your hand in your pocket and move her to a private hospital, and stop making unfair criticism of the hard working Doctors and Nurses, that are neither being paid well enough, nor have the time, to provide the 5 star service that your sense of entitlement is demanding.
  9. Where in either report does it say that he jumped on his bike after a pint of vodka, and was driving on the other side of the road ? or did you just make that nonsense up yourself ?
  10. Indeed, also known as a "Ralph Coates"
  11. Pants on fire ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  12. RIP fella …. Far too young He sticks to his guns He takes the road as it comes It takes the shine off his shoes He’s too fast to stop He takes it over the top He makes a line in the news …….. Mark Knopfler 1979
  13. Well, that’s certainly narrowed it down for us all.
  14. Fulham fan here. I must say that Man City have looked the best club team in Europe this season, by some distance; however, never dismiss any Italian team in the final of a competition, especially one with the pedigree of Internazionale Milano, who have won the competition three times previously.
  15. There was a misprint in the earlier editions, it should have said Vegans
  16. I won’t have to listen to my wife anymore; although knowing her, that can’t possibly be guaranteed ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  17. I can’t offer any practical advice, but just wanted to say well done fella for taking them with you and not abandoning them. I’ve lost count of the Facebook appeals in the Hua Hin area for people trying to re-home their “beloved” dogs because they are leaving Thailand. Best of luck to you.
  18. Indeed, but she better stock up on Pampers, she's gonna need enough for both of them; and a bib for Al, to stop him dribbling into his Ovaltine while he's watching Bargain Hunt ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  19. Poor lady, surely it should not have been left to her to try and evict him after the foreclosure. RIP Kamlaporn; you didn’t deserve to lose your life at the hands of this cowardly, spineless, stain on mankind
  20. I think you are correct Andy; my wife has just read it on the Thai news and said they were Mor 1 & 2
  21. Italy eh ? …… The Italian elections last year were won by a coalition of four parties; the party of Georgia Meloni “Fratelli d’Italia” won more than 25% of those votes, and so as leader of that party, she was elected as Prime Minister ….. how on earth is that being elected by Parliament. Please stop making things up that are totally incorrect.
  22. Complete and utter nonsense. The UK is a usual democracy, and after an election, the leader of the political party that wins the most seats, becomes the Prime Minister. Nothing whatsoever to do with being elected by parliament; how do you make this stuff up ?
  23. Are you referring to the leader of the Move Forward party, the party that received 14,438,851 votes in the election; almost 3 and a half million votes more than their nearest rival ….. you’re obviously not a fan of democracy then ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  24. Does not treat them to what ? once again, you make no sense
