Actually, most foreigners I see seem to have more or less tasteful smaller tattoos, while here in SEA, I have seen locals covered in whole-body (all arms, torso), often ugly tattoos, esp. in places like Yangon, Pattaya, Phuket, etc., and, particularly dating sites, where one out of three, or so Thai women seem to have larger or numerous (not what I would call beautiful) tattoes, and not just the 'working girls'...

Exactly. Living on 100 baht a day for 9 years, so, probably only eating rice with extra rice, no fun, beer, mobile phone, clothes buying, etc.? I know few people who could do this. At least, with so much frugality and sad life, he should have put it in the bank.

Well, I am an expat, having lived in Asia for the past 20 odd years. Can you please tell me where in this region I can apply for a Thailand METV? Sorry, but travelling all the way back to my home country for a visa is not an option, as flight and hotel costs would be inappropriately high. If such a visa was offered in KL or Singapore, I'd happily travel there to apply, however.

Saw an ad today on the BTS for Lactasoy milk: 9 baht... Heavily advertised a few years ago as 'Lactasoy 5 baht', so a whopping 80% increase in only a few years. Services too; last time I went to my regular Bangkok barber (mid 2023), I paid 160 baht, but less than two years later he's charging 200 baht now, that's a 25 percent increase over the past 20 months!

Exactly; always when I arrive in Thailand, needing change, I go to the next 7-Eleven, pay, say, with a 1,000-baht note, then turn around, and buy some more with the given 100-baht note... Easy way to get some needed 20s and coins.

I have yet to meet Indians, Brits, Israelis, (etc.,) spitting, urinating, defecating, etc., wherever they stand, and right next to/in the direction of other people, unlike some Chinese citizens do.

I made the same experience there. Certainly more friendly than Thais, Burmese, and, probably, Vietnamese and Laotians as well...

Also, I'm sure that The Thaiger (and other Thai media) would point out clearly that she is "Thai" if it were a positive news item. Only when Thais abroad go rogue, their other nationalities are mentioned, or it is trivialised with cute terms, e.g. "little ghosts"...
