  1. The non O provided a 90 day stamp. Agents can also obtain the 12 month extension = 15 months.. You did not "renew non O" in CM using income method. You obtained another 12 month extension to your permission of stay using income method. Why immigration did not check your bank book back over previous 12 months I cannot understand. You were lucky.
  2. The 30k is for initial non O (90 day stamp) and 12 month extension. Hence 15 months. In subsequent years ongoing extensions ~ 15k . The payment for the non O is a once off fee. You would also need a multi reentry permit 4k Where in Thailand are you located.
  3. Normally that would not be the case. I'm in process of changing from money in bank to income method retirement. Most recent extension I discussed this with the boss io (at CW) She advised (made it very clear) to show 12 months of transfers AND maintain the 800k for next 3 months. I always suggest that if you want to quit using agent then exit Thailand without reentry permit and start over
  4. Thinking TM30 and perhaps some receipts from condo for monthly payments might be usefull. If you have a copy of most recent 90 day report take it along. Here is a thread with lists of required documents. Some posts have over kill including some items not required.
  5. That's going to be approx 5 cycles per year. The saving grace is the 30 days between visits. You will be aware of issue if immigration at airport starts warning you. As you are 50+ immigration is aware you have option of non O retirement and subsequent extensions. Expect them to eventually "suggest" visa option
  6. Not aware of any agent that operates out of Rayong, however if you contact one of the Pattaya agent they can advise.
  7. Indeed. Never noticed it at top of that page... "IF YOU HAVE OVERSTAYED, YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO SUBMIT AN APPLICATION FOR THIS TYPE OF VISA." As stated earlier. Best to discuss with agent.
  8. Here is a Pattaya agent. https://www.1stclassvisaruns.com/ Here is thread with trip report. https://aseannow.com/topic/1312731-border-run-pattaya-to-cambodia/
  9. From OP, ...."he has just arrived, he will use an agent to open a bank account next week, and wire 800k" The guy needs to open bank account on a visa exempt entry. Frankly your posts are irrelevant. He can ask various agents to open bank account and after that can go to next step. Non O. Unfortunately he is dealing with Jomitien. Agent may be best option.
  10. So you used an agent for guarantee entry to Thailand even visa exempt. This is outlined in ASEAN Now forums. . Your lack of involvement in thread caused issue. I can post links to agent assistance at Thai airports. Cost? Guessing 5k- 7k ?
  11. Don't be naive. The agent will come to agreement re cost to open bank account without extra services The cost obviously more. No profit in opening bank for agent. Most of cost goes to BBL insurance policy.
  12. Of course they did not want your business. Why are you surprised. Does not require a reply. As posted earlier some agents will not even service bank account without non O + extension as typical reply attached for agent.
  13. 100% correct. Note that while Thai immigration at airports etc do not that requirement some airlines may have an issue. Thailand is bit unique with the "6 month validity" rule.
  14. I think there was a "lost in translation" Agents state that they can obtain extension from the non O straight away. Meaning 3 months early unlike the actual rules extension 30 days earlier. No agent requires seasoning for non O or extension. Including Jomitien. The slight discount in providing your own financials has already been mentioned
  15. Yes. You are asking about something different. That being exiting Thailand with having missed a 90 report. You could be fined when attending immigration after your return for unrelated matter eg extension. The io would need to be checking dates on pp (departure/return) Guessing wouldn't bother.
  16. You are over thinking it. In any other immigration office he could obtain a non O retirement with 800k in bank on day of application. However Jomitien (as mentioned earlier were requesting 2 month seasoning) Also your friend needs to open a bank account. Will need an agent. Also need agent that is prepared to do that as stand alone service. The stuff from legal firm is nonsense. He is currently in Thailand with valid permit. He can obtain a non O . Should be aware that if he uses agent he can do that with providing financials himself OR agent does all. Note if second option is chosen then in future if he wants to do extensions himself he would need start over after border bounce and obtain new non O
  17. For extensions both for retirement and marriage need to have been in the bank for 2 months prior to day of application. Retirement 800k. Marriage 400k. You can apply for extension up till expiry of current permission of stay.
  18. The OP stated ......"Now he's back here on a 60 days visa exemption,.." The friend was admitted into Thailand visa exempt.
  19. Given your friends concern due to past ban, he could request to chat with Nan (senior advisor) All agents can discuss options using social such as Line, Whatsapp etc
  20. Some agents will only assist with bank account if you obtain the non O and subsequent 12 month extension with them. Surprisingly (to me) is that it's not that much cheaper if you provide your own financials. Fortunately Pattaya/Jomitien have some very good agents at cheap price compared to eg Bangkok. The agent in Pattaya eg Maneerat will charge 4k- 5k. That will be with BBL. EDIT: He will need an agent as Jomitien are (were previously) requiring funds in bank for 2 months prior to application for non O. That is wrong as it's only required in bank on day of application (no seasoning) An agent can avoid that issue. If he is handy to Soi post office 13/2 he can just drop in for chat. I was there recently (unrelated matter) and seen straight away.
  21. OP, I don't see need for agent. He was admitted into Thailand. He can obtain a non O retirement and 2 months later obtain 12 month extension. Which immigration office? When did he transfer the 800k from abroad to his Thai bank account in his name only.
