  1. Where's the destination. No concerns returning visa exempt via air?
  2. Realize that's what's asked for. Some discussion in this thread.
  3. Which immigration office do you deal with? When this current 180 day permission of stay ends do you plan another exit/reenter Thailand or obtain extension at immigration?
  4. OP, if you have the items you listed that is more than required. Of course most folk with a single entry tourist visa do not have similar plans as you. A few nights accommodation that you can cancel suits most.
  5. Thread closed at OP request
  6. I asked because one of my Thai partners tenants (farang teacher) recently had been asked for multiple "stuff" for extension. Not just the example TM30 Tod posted regarding proof of where they live. Owners title deed etc. However that's not your situation. Good luck getting it sorted.
  7. No idea what that means. You either have 12 monthly transfers of 65k + or you don't. In any event you don't have an option to do the extension yourself.
  8. You are so missing the point. Your monthly income from pensions has (most likely) nothing to do with your extensions. Almost certainly the agent has been using "money in bank method" and not actually meeting the financial requirements. That's one reason why folk use an agent. In any event you can't just now DIY. The financial requirements are checked retrospectively . You also mention pp "away for a few weeks" Where are your stamps being issued. So are you in Pattaya? Do you attend immigration with the agent?
  9. Hells bells 5200b for Western pp holders + 1000b if more than 4 visa exempt stamps. Perhaps flying along with safe entry service might become attractive option. Grueling minivan run.
  10. From your username seems that you most likely located Pattaya. Yes prices went up perhaps by 3k. However read post from Tod above carefully. Changing back to DIY is not simple. Most likely require you to "start over" Also to use money in bank method. Continue with agent
  11. The OP, s wife is non Thai. Easy for him to enter Thailand visa exempt and obtain the non O here in Thailand or nearby embassy such as Vientiane. Normally the advice would be to obtain the Non O in home country however NZ costs for this seem ridiculous. If he doesn't have a Thai bank account then he needs to obtain the non O outside of Thailand. At some point the wife would need to obtain a Non O (dependant) outside of Thailand. She is under 50.
  12. Yes an agent can obtain an extension up to 3 months early. Doing extensions by yourself it's up to 30 days early at most offices and up to 45 at a few large offices such as CM, CW etc. You now mention that you have been using an agent. So in fact most likely not been using income method since the embassy letter option was removed. Changing back to DIY and using income method is not simple. Most likely you cannot show 65k transfers per month for the previous 12 months. Then you casually mention you are married to a Thai national? Has the agent been using "money in bank method" and assisting with the financial requirements? Which immigration office do you deal with?
  13. Discussed in this thread. https://aseannow.com/topic/1351278-minimum-insurance-coverage-non-oa-extension/#findComment-19575187 You state.... " I plan to list my Brokerage account as the financial satisfaction thing but could also use any of my IRAs. My accounts are all with Etrade and their statements including an income estimator are easily downloaded but The VISa seems to want some sort of letter from the bank" Think you will find you need required funds in a bank account. Does not need to be Thai account. BTW do you have a Thai bank account. What's the ongoing plan here. Are you planning on moving to Thailand? Ultimately you would need to do extensions. You could easily obtain a Non O. If the 800k is a deal breaker consider an agent.
  14. You are not addressing the question. Seems you are currently on extensions using (guessing) money in bank method.. To change to income method you would need to show proof of 12 monthly transfers of 65k + Can you do that?
  15. Which immigration office.. Are you currently using money in bank method?
  16. From the OP... "Weight probably less than 700kg. It won't be solely music gear, some useful but inexpensive domestic stuff too".
  17. Would mean reenter Thailand visa exempt and depending on history may be problematic. Current thread running on "safe entry services" at airport. Could be an option. Here is link to current thread with success. Note standard cost would be 4500b https://aseannow.com/topic/1364034-has-anyone-used-friendly-thai-visa’s-airport-safe-entry-service-only-real-experiences-plz/
  18. No. Assume you have no plans to obtain a Non O retirement from this permission of stay
  19. Contact Thai visa centre. Here is link... Thai Visa Centre - Visa Agent https://g.co/kgs/vXXzb5i You can ring them or Line or even Messenger. Or send a PM via @ThaiVisaCentre
  20. You haven't outlined your history of stays in Thailand. Guessing extensive as you could have opted for mini holiday to somewhere like Saigon. Perhaps you are visa exempt for some nearby countries. Must have concerns entering Thailand visa exempt via air
  21. Back it up. What do you need a TM30 and TM47 for. You are in Thailand on extension ? What's the issue. Clarify. As mentioned above @ThaiVisaCentre could assist.
  22. Just one person's opinion... I can't get my head around your overall plan. You state moving to Hua Hin.. What type of place do you plan to live in. No way I would be happy with you as a neighbor along with the amps etc. From your OP (only a guess) but seems you don't have extensive experience with Thailand. I'm with @richard_smith237 post. Bring as little as possible. Most likely just instruments. Look into excess accompanied flight baggage.
