This maybe of no interest however person had extension of stay retirement and obtained a reentry permit and then exited and applied for DTV . Entered Thailand on the DTV with immigration either overlooking or ignoring the reentry permit Read post from @BrandonJT https://aseannow.com/topic/1343290-moving-from-retirement-to-dtv-question-having-both-at-the-same-time/

So that's 239 in approx one year That is pushing it The io especially given can see past Non O marriage having concerns regarding visa exempt entries. So this time you may have the e-Visa in time. When is actual date of flight to Thailand. Here is thread safe entry services. https://aseannow.com/topic/1355901-safe-entry-to-bkk/ Here is link to one agent. Several others available. https://www.facebook.com/61552069237778/posts/pfbid0Xpf5nqwkkDUDxYFujoZrAajCskXZAQFw9rJTf36278sk3YTFqBVCgLMyapk4gphvl/?app=fbl

Visa Exempt 30 day extension
DrJack54 replied to Sam555's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Rather contradictory. So your knowledge is very limited re Jomtien. So you have never obtained a 30 day extension or for example applied for Non O from visa exempt entry..... That's from @Toby1947 So many reports on AseanNow regarding Jomtien having their own agenda. Could list many. Another example current thread chap asking about the "return to immigration office to show bankbook after 3 months" Guess which office asks for this nonsense. Name other offices that play that bogus card. -
Indeed. Obviously the one of interest is date of departure. At a guess folk would put what the entry stamp "admitted till date" would be? Should not be required till departure. Wasn't when TM6 was in play. Edit: error. The red star fields are compulsory. My mistake. Why/how would those fields be required on entry.

OP, regarding "two valid passports" From AI ...... "Yes, your old German passport is canceled and returned to you when you renew it. The old passport is marked as invalid and returned to you along with the new passport. This ensures you only have one valid passport at a time" I asked earlier which immigration office do you deal with. Be aware that for CW (extensions retirement) ...the immigration officer will require photocopies of bank book pages back to start of current extension along with update if bankbook to show financial compliance

Good summary of her situation. On the up side she has option for best category DTV (Workcation, digital nomad) . Met with young guy who obtained his e-Visa DTV in UK in 3 days so it's not a long process. As I mentioned she could go to nearby country for the e-Visa after Non O-A expiry Process time could be perhaps 5 working days.

Your new passport should invalidate your old pp. The expiry date of old pp is irrelevant. Any visas, reentry permit in old pp remain valid. No urgency to have stamps transferred however it's good practice. Best to attend immigration prior to next extension to do the transfer. Which immigration office for transfer?

You should not be asked for either for entering via air You have a multi entry Visa. An onward flight should not be required by airline nor funds by immigration. As for border bounce .,.it's hard to predict these days. Best to do the run with agent minivan. Obviously have your e-Visa print out and check stamp in is for 180 days.

OP, this quoted sentence is what you need to understand. When the Non O-A was issued (perhaps e-Visa) it has a validity period. Meaning the Visa has a shelf life. It's a multiple entry Visa. Any exit and reentry while it's still valid, you receive a 12 month permission of stay stamp. That explains why you read that Non O-A is good for a stay of almost 2 years provided appropriate insurance in place. That's not possible. She can wait till expiry of the Non O-A and exit Thailand. The DTV can be obtained at embassies/consulates. For example she could travel to somewhere eg Saigon and apply for DTV with the e-Visa platform. No need to apply in passport country as is required for the Non O-A.

He mentioned earlier has good health cover in Japan.... "My plan is to live in Thailand but due to health insurance of the country I live in which is very affordable, I can't really leave the PR and give it up and make Thailand my home. She knows that and understands that" Have no idea what health coverage he has. Also mentioned....." We both will have, ( I already have ) but our income is not up there where I can qualify for the appropriate marriage visa." As we know the financial requirements for a Non O marriage is (should be) not difficult. The saying "bridge too far" comes to mind for ongoing plan

Her current permission of stay should not be affected. When current permission of stay ends she needs to look at alternative. If over 50 she could change to extension based on retirement. Requires financials. Process outlined in this thread. Obviously that thread is general and mentions spouse attends immigration for change to retirement. Clearly different for deceased wife/husband. https://aseannow.com/topic/1294679-changing-marriage-extension-to-retirement/#elControls_18077110_menu This contrasts situation where divorce occurs. For divorce the permission of stay ends.

His future wife will live in Thailand. He is asking about not obtaining ongoing extensions based on marriage. Based on his roster plan, that being 3 months Thailand 3 months Japan he can wash and repeat. The two options would be.... 1. Visa Exempt entry + 30 day extension. That's while it continues to be 60 days. If not SETV+ extension. 2. A non O twice per year however that requires money in the bank at least for application.

Troubles at immigration desk in BKK airport
DrJack54 replied to Emath86's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Just picking one part of your OP. Having a job in Italy has zero impact on obtaining a Non O marriage. I suspect the io noticed past Non O entry. Meaning you have other options vs visa exempt entry. Yes a Non O e-Visa has financial requirements. 400k in Thai bank account for application. Suggest for ongoing visits to Thailand for total of 6 months + you consider other options. -
How many tourist visa allowed?
DrJack54 replied to Jack1988's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
That's a "visa exempt entry" Seems the immigration officer did not chat with you. Just looking through pp. I wouldn't be concerned. As for visa exempt flying from Oz (Jetstar?) ...did airline ask for onward flight? -
