  1. Grated potato with grated onion mix with whatever + eggs and make patties. Don't know why they are referred to as Mock Fish. As for the basic baked potato hard to beat Air Fryer.

  3. Actually the same guy has just returned to Pattaya. I was bit surprised that he couldn't arrange payment. He is well off. Anyway my Thai partner arranged transfer of the 100k. Regards his insurance they didn't decline anything. However he was made to pay hospital and claim from insurance later. He obtained full refund. I'm talking to him later and will ask which hospital. I know it would be private. Edit: update from my mates experience. It was Bangkok hospital Pattaya. Actually the hospital was prepared to deal with the insurance however it was the insurance company that insisted he pays and claim later.
  4. Indeed. A friend on visa exempt entry had a minor turn and was admitted into a hospital in Pattaya. While he had good travel insurance (medical) he was required to pay 100k deposit. I transferred the funds to the hospital. Note: he also paid full hospital bill and the insurance company later reimbursed him, by then he was back in Oz.
  5. Well that's up to you. My TDL has my pervious pp #. Renewed it last year. I'm not about to update the pp # Especially as address on it has not changed. When I go to hospital I will take my pp. When (next week) I check in at hotel on mini holiday I will present my pp. When I visit bank for service I will take my pp. It's simple..
  6. Of course as you keep 400k for marriage all year round. Does not affect you. Suggest most folk doing extensions marriage do not maintain funds but rather place the 400k in bank for the required 2 months only.
  7. Not the point. Some folk are affected. (marriage) A bank that can unilaterally pull this type of stunt has no credibility in my book.
  8. Aware of everything you went on to outline.
  9. Agree that's it's a silly requirement however your place of accommodation can provide TM30. And give you print out. In most instances it's only needed for a dealing with immigration. Most common would be extensions. eg 30 day extension may/will require TM30 to show you currently in area for that immigration office
  10. Do what you want. I suggested a deposit that acts as update + shows activity on the day. If you are confident on what's required why ask. BBL have update machine. Some banks not so
  11. Many caught out by rogue requirement. The saying ..."vote with your feet" springs to mind.
  12. Hearsay post removed
  13. Thanks for first hand report. Just my opinion... obscene nonsense from a bank . Change banks asap.
  14. CW will accept Bank Letter + 12 months bank statement days prior to application. While the stated limit is 7 days ....suggest day or two business days prior is best option. On day of application CW want to see update on the day. One option is to make small deposit. Ask teller to make photocopy of last page showing the deposit. Did you make appointment for extension?
  15. BBL do not issue 12 month bank statement "on the spot" You would need to request statement few days (5-7) prior to application date. Yes your immigration office should accept Bank Letter + Bank Statement dated few days prior to application. Which immigration office?
  16. The io is an idiot. Obviously anyone using a dedicated bank account would have another account to transfer funds into for day to day banking ie living expenses. If you don't have transactions then a 12 month bank statement (for savings account) would be required to demonstrate financial compliance. Bank Letter is 100b and 12 month bank statement is 200b Note if using two accounts with same bank the bank letter will list both accounts and balances on day of issue. Still 100b total.
  17. That's insulting. Back to your point that could cause issues. For example (as I posted).. I just now transferred 100k to my Thai bank as I do every #14 of the month. This is for immigration purposes (income method) and also our living expenses. The funds then transferred into my Thai partners a/c. I don't want any curve balls in this process. I would be more than annoyed if Oz bank did as you outlined.
  18. As usual depends on your immigration office. If you haven't been asked for TM30 previously then do nothing. Personally I do a new one annually for my 12 month extension (CW) Since using document check girls they sometimes ask for non required items. Seems you have not changed place of residence. Here is clear guide from agent explaining TM30. TM 30 Reporting - A Quick Guide for 2023 - Thai Visa Expert https://share.google/FO5Ah6BOzRxU5POta
  19. The OP is dealing with Jomtien. From threads folk dealing with that office bank statement and letter accepted if obtained days prior.
  20. Must be a UK thing. Using my AU banking app there is never an issue. For a new payee the bank will send a OTP to my Thai # which I then enter into banking app. While on transfers... I keep seeing reports of lag time using WISE. Even a day. I just now did a 100k+ transfer from my Westpac bank to WISE wallet to Thai bank account. Instant. Not minutes. Instant.
  21. Yes. As usual depends on flip of the coin. 800b is common. Have seen a report of 1600b. Highway robbery.
  22. That's just stupid but not surprised as some offices use their own rules. Must be difficult for those using BBL as with that bank your need to obtain the 12 month statement prior to application date. Both the bank letter and 12 month bank statement are valid for 7 days. Best to obtain them day or two prior unless you deal with Ubon. Of course there will be others.
  23. Only what I would do... Try obtain extension without update, meaning without deposit of 5k. If they don't accept that then surely bank gives receipt of deposit. Don't think immigration will ask you to do that. Do you plan to make appointment at CW?
