  1. Luck of the draw.. Some immigration officers don't like to see ongoing entries using visa exempt or even tourist visas if they (for example) notice a previous non O BTW where are you currently? You are married to Thai so you have options. Also 50+ so you can obtain non O retirement or marriage. Ongoing living in Thailand from visa exempt not recommended.
  2. This is thread July re financials https://aseannow.com/topic/1330114-is-savannakhet-requiring-proof-of-400k-for-2-months/ Where are you currently located Which land border were you "read the riot act"
  3. Please post back report when you enter Thailand. All first hand experiences assist.
  4. Just picking out one sentence from nonsense rambling post. From the OP..... "It’s over 60 days and I’m wondering if Emirates will allow me to depart? " The OP is asking about issue from airline at departure flying visa exempt. He has correct advice already posted.
  5. That pattern of stays in Thailand would/should not be of any concern to immigration. You don't need agent assistance at airport for visa exempt entry
  6. The extension will be approved.
  7. That is a good question! So immigration today asked for hard copy of eVisa. Then you type.. So they accepted your application and gave you a return date stamp? (under consideration period) If yes you're fine (imo) Did you tell them you don't have copy of approval eVisa email..
  8. Your immigration office is referring to "Certificate of Residence" The bank may open a bank account with this..
  9. You replied to a poster CM specific. Indeed CM play by their own rules. https://aseannow.com/topic/1292983-tm30-2-night-stay-out-of-province/
  10. If you only require 4 months why not visa exempt entry (60 days) + 60 day extension to visit wife. Or even 60 (visa exempt) + 30 day extension + 60 extension to visit wife. Or visa exempt 60 + obtain non O marriage at local immigration office (requires 400b in bank day of application) 3 months stamp = 5 month total. You don't need to obtain non O marriage in Laos
  11. You are over thinking things (imo) Can understand concern if doing a border bounce from Thailand to Laos border. A minivan agent good for that. However you are already in Laos so just rock up
  12. For a 3 month stay just enter visa exempt (60 day stamp) Followed by 30 day extension (1900b)
  13. Correct and to add this option works without any worries.
  14. Many reports of that not being the case. There is zero reason for need to apply for 30 day extension prior to 60 day "to visit wife/family"
  15. Nonsense thread closed
  16. OP, are you looking for agent to avoid the que lines or in addition you have past visa exempt history and looking for smooth process at immigration
  17. Here is a cut and paste from ubonjoe on this matter. He explains why both extensions are possible as different categories. Isn't Pathum Thani however mentions CW and entry from visa exempt. "Chaeng Wattana immigration has issued the 60 day extension of a tourist visa and visa exempt entry after the 30 day extension of them were issued.. More than one report about it. The 2 extensions are not the same category is the reason they will issue them. The 60 day extension is issued due to being married to a Thai or the parent of one. A 30 day extension is issued for touristic purposes and the 60 day extension is issued to visit a family member that is Thai."
  18. This is correct information. The only caveat is that immigration can tell you to apply later (send you away. The OP should attend LakSi when there is 45 or less days remaining on his permission of stay. Link for appointment LakSi https://bangkok.immigration.go.th/en/onlineservice-and-publicguide/
  19. OP, so far in the replies are suggestions of 1. Non O retirement+ annual extensions for him and wife piggyback on his extensions. 2. LTR and wife piggyback on that. 3. Add DTV visa and wife piggyback on that (currently not perfectly clear if wife needs to also show funds) All good options
  20. If that occured you would step aside and buy cheapest throw away ticket using debit/credit card. ~$50usd.
  21. Should be fine. The 30 day extension from the visa exempt entry must be done first followed by the 60. Note: there was a recent report of immigration office refusing the 60 extension to visit wife. When doing the 30 day extension check with immigration your plan. Which office? Aside: for anyone obtaining 30 day extension from visa exempt entry you do that a LakSi IT mall Here is link to a site that has very clear instructions https://brenontheroad.com/visa-extension-thailand-bangkok/
  22. The fact that you have a return ticket (assume same airline) you should be fine. At worst they may ask you to sign a waiver. All folk flying visa exempt if refused boarding pass by airline due to no onward flight within 60 days.... Step away from check in and google "onwardticket.com" the ticket issued instantly. ~$15usd.
  23. eVisa has an enter "from - till" date. You can exit and reenter Thailand during the validity window. You will be stamped in for 90 days (seems it's a non O)
  24. You are referring to 30 day extension to visa exempt entry, hence LakSi. Couple of weeks prior to expiry is the norm. You will need to have a TM30 You could attend LakSi and plead your case (it's valid) or use agent. Think agents such as @ThaiVisaCentre can assist
