  1. If possible at some point outline your experience as this question comes up quite often. After obtaining extension based on marriage did you obtain work permit and subsequent work
  2. onwardticket.com is ~16usd. You can opt to buy one on the spot if hassle from airline. Just step aside on book on phone. Obviously requires internet. Read reports that airlines have softened onward flight in that if you can show return flight past the 60 allowing for plan to obtain 30 day extension that's acceptable. Someone might confirm that. Is your return with same airline as departure flight. Aside: visiting twice a year you have no need for tourist eVisa. Especially as exempt and tourist visa provide 60 days. In the future if/when ETA becomes a requirement it will be interesting to see what if any flight details are required.
  3. Yes you could obtain a 60 day extension to visit wife. So 60+60. Yes and no. Having a tourist eVisa the airline will no ask for onward flight. No you can not apply for extension prior to entering Thailand. Incorrect. ETA has been announced to commence some time in the future. Ignore it for now.
  4. Correct. Requires a Non immigrant. Think the OP previously had a non O and ran out of time to obtain annual extension.. Bounced for visa exempt stamp (not sure). Cannot work.
  5. Posters note OP request. Further posts re pros and cons of using agents will be removed.
  6. Single reentry 1200. Multi 4000. Also note extra charge for using your BBL account at another branch. The 1640
  7. Extensions based on marriage are sent to divisional headquarters. Retirement not so.
  8. All good however of little help to OP. If over 50 he could consider change to extensions based on retirement.
  9. Savannakhet. And now with eVisa only option in Laos? The OP is asking about extensions.
  10. Call me old school... I don't mind no stamps in/out of my home country however reentering Thailand I like to see a stamp with my "permitted stay" date.
  11. Can't help. Haven't read about your situation. 30 days is common. What does Lamphun immigration have to say on this situation. What date is on the return to immigration for final stamp?
  12. And I pointed out that since the OP will be transferring 800k baht to his Thai bank account as soon as he opens the account His best option is to simply have £18k in his UK bank account for the eVisa application and ready to transfer to Thailand. It's indeed related to plan to obtain extension.
  13. The OP has already exited and reentered Thailand visa exempt. He does not need to border bounce. If he needed to best option is to use minivan agent company.
  14. No need to do anything on departure or return. It's polite to mention to immigration that you have reentry permit. When you return to Thailand and immediately after being stamped in check the stamp correctly states "admitted till" Feb 26. Even when obtaining boarding pass for return flight mention to airline staff you have reentry permit.
  15. What do you have. You stated a Non O. That is a single entry visa that provides a 90 day permission of stay stamp. Did you subsequently obtain a 12 month extension and multiple reentry permit? Perhaps an agent did all this for you.
  16. Some embassies provide a letter to authorize transfer. Some do not. UK, USA, AU being 3 examples.
  17. No. You do not require a visa to obtain a non O at your local immigration office. You can do that from visa exempt entry. Which you have. You will use a TM87 along with all the supporting docs for marriage. Here is recent thread outlines the process. BTW: Not sure if mentioned in thread but if you require more time to organize funds etc you can obtain 60 day extension to your 60 day visa exempt entry. The 60 extension is based on visit Thai wife.
  18. OP, which immigration office?
  19. OP, have look at this thread... https://aseannow.com/topic/1347638-tm30-online-receipt/ In particular Tod Daniels post. Shows the new A4 TM30 pdf. Do you have rental agreement with owner?
  20. No immigration office should charge for transfer of stamps etc
  21. In theory yes... However in another thread referring to Laos from @BrandonJT ... "They're not forcing you to stay. They don't hold your passport. But if you leave they can cancel your application without refund. Multiple reports of people being asked for a follow-up proof of location like a letter from hotel manager stating you are still staying in the country, and even saw a report of someone being called into the embassy for an interview after 10 days" Also Tod Daniels pointing out similar info. Personally don't think would be issue with Saigon however given the approval should be ~ 5 days I don't see reason to travel. Up to you..
  22. Yes. Also thinking some have just uploaded ID (photo page) of UK passport. Does not show address however does not need to.
  23. Yes that's a big issue. Thinking Tod Daniels posted similar info. The thing is we don't have many first hand reports of process time for these eVisa applications esp Laos. Personally can not see this being a workable option if it's going to be anything like 10 days. I remember the days of overnight approval. My first ever Non O retirement was from Vientiane. Apply in morning pic up next day arvo from consulate. Can't see anyone obtaining a Non O marriage/retirement eVisa from nearby countries. You could just border bounce enter visa exempt and obtain Non O local immigration office. Of course many other visa types cannot be obtained in Thailand.
