  1. Was not aware of that change in policy. Previously enter on foreign passport the requirements for stay was determined by that pp. Good news for folk with Thai passport. I see George started this thread last year. https://aseannow.com/topic/1305176-immigration-news-for-all-thai-dual-citizens/
  2. OP, just do a border bounce either by land or air. Reenter Thailand visa exempt. That will give you 60 day stamp that can be extended by 30 days. Assume you are not married to a Thai.
  3. They want the same stuff each year but need new pics. You will need to show 12 monthly deposits of 40k (minimum) Bankbook should be fine. The account ownership is just the "bank letter" (example attached) . It shows the account # plus balance and your name as sole name of the account The bank letter can be up to 7 days old, however suggest you obtain it day prior. The account can be updated on the day either with machine in wall or small deposit.
  4. Thanks for report. Think some folk will look forward to update re cost.
  5. As previously stated. I have not read a report of not being able to obtain a non O from visa exempt entry (land or air entry) So believe it when first hand report. Can imagine Immigration can give you a hard time, esp for based on marriage. There is very little apart for funds in bank requirement for non O retirement. Jomitien played a strange one (don't know if still current) requiring the funds in bank 2 month seasoning for the non O. That is rogue
  6. Indeed. Process outlined in this attached thread. https://aseannow.com/topic/1324715-update-kor-ror-22-thai-marriage-certificate-in-bangkok/
  7. Update bankbook on day of application. I prefer to make small deposit on the day. Shows "activity" and update. Re bank letter can be up to 7 days early however suggest day prior to application is good idea. No cannot use letter from year ago.
  8. Don't know what oap is. Perhaps a non O-A You need to be clear. Edit: oap could mean old age pension. That has nothing to do with Visa
  9. Surprised you have not exited (border bounce) without reentry permit to kill off the non O-A Enter visa exempt to "start over" No insurance required. As @Jingthing suggested this. Many folk have opted to do that.
  10. No in my experience. I did report Nov 5 with appointment. No issue. Attached is screenshot of just now checking for appointment at CW for TM47.
  11. Not a good idea to leave it late. You can apply 30 days early and 45 days early at some of the big offices. Best to obtain 12 month bank statement. This is 200b. Does not need to be obtained on day of application. Note; BBL bank takes several days to provide bank statement. You also need "bank letter" that shows you as owner of the account. Which immigration office? This thread outlines procedure and docs. Also has list from ubonjoe of required docs. https://aseannow.com/topic/1272122-2022-updated-requirements-and-or-process-for-extension-based-on-marriage/
  12. Indeed. There are a few "genuine" candidates for soft power options. Muay Thai courses Thai cooking courses Sports training Medical treatment Seminars Music festivals Agents are already offering packages to places such a as Savannakhet to obtain DTV. Ultimately this visa will be heavily abused. I'm surprised that "Chess" is not on the soft power options listed above.
  13. Why didn't you make an appointment.. The link is posted in this thread. Note: for others you must make print out of your appointment. It's no longer confirmation email. It's a screenshot from appointment page and print..
  14. I did 90 report with appointment CW in November was seen 15 mins early as soon as I arrived.
  15. Good advice. Fact entered via land border should be irrelevant. OP, can you report back your experience applying for non O retirement from visa exempt entry
  16. The DTV seems great option for those under 50 not married to Thai. Especially if can choose option working online. For anyone currently living in Thailand from extensions based on marriage or retirement.,.I would not jump ship just yet.
  17. A non O-A and any extensions from a non O-A based on retirement will require insurance. Extensions from a non O-A based on marriage do not require insurance. Non O visa and extensions both based on marriage or retirement do not require insurance Best to indicate which Visa you are interested in
  18. Form would be TM87. Yes having embassy "income letter" makes life easy. Seems not option for the OP. Perhaps he is UK, USA, or AU
  19. And someone can take 5 years to learn make an omelette. Please. Granted "soft power" correct thermology
  20. You haven't heard of it. I'm not surprised. From agent:
  21. Time will tell. The "soft options" for DTV (not my term) seem ridiculous. Stay 5 years to learn how to cook Pad Thai or have a tooth capped. Seriously! The option of online work is very different Recently met with young guy that indeed works completely online and has a UK company employer and obtained DTV in few days (eVisa) Personally view the 3 soft options ridiculous. As stated "time will tell"
  22. This thread has run its course. Thread closed
  23. How did you enter Thailand? Visa exempt. Out of interest how do you plan to stay in Thailand for almost 6 months
