Yes up to seven days prior however best to obtain statement and letter day or two early. The bank will photocopy last page for you, no problem.. No medical certificate required for extension. Think some crazy joints may require that. Samui? Anyway CW does not. Yes you can make withdrawals just don't go below 800k. Added note. You might find this thread a good checklist. The OP in that thread made clear report. https://aseannow.com/topic/1322171-extension-of-visa-for-retirement-at-cw/

You can apply for the extension prior to April 1. Obviously don't leave it to last minute, just in case immigration want some extra document. The most important thing is the financials. Immigration will want to see the 800k seasoned for two months prior to date of application. Your bank book (+photocopies) should be sufficient. In addition CW will want the "bank letter". That just confirms you as owner of the account and balance on that day. They also like to see activity and update. I attend bank on day of application L1 CW and give lady 100b for deposit + 100b for bank letter. Also ask the bank person to kindly photocopy this last page of bb to show update and activity on the day. Which bank do you use

OP, letter not required. Bottom of this form outlines required docs https://aseannow.com/applications/core/interface/file/attachment.php?id=939160&key=2e63bc0d8abee18369df31b777516cb4 Realize you are using Jomitien. When I transferred stamps recently at CW they wanted my bankbook and photocopies+ update to show I had complied with financial requirements (extension retirement using money in bank method). Came as a shock

90 days report pending
DrJack54 replied to PHJones's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Good result. The thing is at some places (CW) sometimes give online result after the "grace period". Useless system for some folk.. -
what money is taxed 2024 ?
DrJack54 replied to Carver2's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
Rather than clean up this thread with many posts debating terms such as "retirement Visa" etc... Further off topic posts removed. The thread concerns taxation. -
This won't be of much help.... Seems that places like Savannakhet have suggested 10-15 days wait. Also my understanding is payment must be made to consulate. Unreasonable. Some locations such as Saigon have had eVisa for Thailand available prior to Laos. Looked for thread without luck. Hopefully a first hand report will be posted.

The Non O retirement eVisa that you obtain in UK is a single entry visa granting 90 day stamp. The visa is gone (used) one you enter. Prior to the expiry of the 90 day stamp you will obtain a 12 month extension. With that permission of stay there is no need to exit Thailand every 90 days. You can travel out of Thailand and keep your permission of stay valid by buying reentry permit. Think you are mixing things up slightly. Previously there was a multi entry Non O that some folk obtained from home country or country close to Thailand. With that visa you had to exit every 90 days (visa run).¹ Laos (Savannakhet) being popular. That is no longer available in UK or Thai embassies/consulates.

Online 90 day check during weekends
DrJack54 replied to Joe32's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
The issue with some offices (CW being example) the process time can be couple of weeks+. Result outside the grace period so some folk end up doing it in person with no update on status. -
You cannot obtain a non O-A in Thailand. If you just leave 800k in bank then that covers your financial requirements. Some folk have a dedicated "extension" bank account and just park the 800k. To put the Non O-A into perspective....prior to insurance requirement it was a ripper Visa. You could obtain almost 2 year stay prior to requiring extension. The big benefit was no requirement to have money in a Thai bank account. That doesn't seem a concern to you so go the Non O single entry path.
-
OP, be aware that extension to Non O has financial requirements. 800k in Thai bank account in your name only for 2 months prior to application and maintained for 3 months after application then not below 400k in other months. While the Non O-A does not have this requirement be aware that after the Non O-A is expired you do ongoing extensions from the non O-A with same financial requirements + insurance requirement.

Having a visa (Non O) you will not require onward flight. You can obtain a reentry permit at your immigration office or at airport on day of departure. Very simple process. 1000b single reentry permit 3800b multiple reentry permit. At the airport they offer 200b "service fee" and they do all including photo. To do it at immigration use a TM8 form. You obtain the reentry permit any time after obtaining the 12 month extension. It's expiry is same as the extension. Bank statement is fine.

Guidance please on Non O application from UK
DrJack54 replied to Wyabcp's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
In that case need to show 800b equivalent in your bank account. In any event you will need the 800k in your Thai bank account when you open the bank account. To apply for the 12 month extension you require the 800k in the account for min 2 months. Income method is not an option as UK embassy does not provide "income letter" -
Furniture/Personal Possessions/Container From UK
DrJack54 replied to MangoKorat's topic in General Topics
Welcome yourself to world of pain. Here is old thread that has good OP with links. Will move this thread. Not visa related. https://aseannow.com/topic/1196226-shipping-containerrelocating-to-thailand-in-2021-detailscustomstaxes-eu-or-us-th/ https://aseannow.com/topic/1323823-shipping-possessions-from-uk/ -
Yes. Be aware that airline at departure in Vietnam most likely want to see onward flight within 60 days. That relates back to 2019. You will be fine. That is a work in progress. Dismiss the colorful term "unlimited". Also many border crossing now insisting on 1-2 overnight stay and other requirements. Even it seems easy crossing Nong Khai.

Guidance please on Non O application from UK
DrJack54 replied to Wyabcp's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
At departure UK airport onward flight not required by airline as you have a Visa. Flying visa exempt is another matter. The UK bank statement does not need to be 800k baht. It's much lower. Someone will post first hand eVisa UK for Thailand financial requirements. Here is recent thread and financials posted early in thread. https://aseannow.com/topic/1325310-applying-in-uk-for-non-o/ -
Guidance please on Non O application from UK
DrJack54 replied to Wyabcp's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
You can obtain eVisa Non O in UK without Thai bank account. Reason I ask is opening a Thai bank account from visa exempt entry is not easy. You enter with Non O and receive a 90 day stamp. The Non O status will enable you to open Thai bank account easily. So good plan. The other benefit is that for 12 month extension the funds do not need to be shown from abroad. BTW: Wise is good option for transfer if you haven't looked into that. -

No. Re your other questions. Do you have a Thai bank account in your name only? -
Not interested in debating. I visited Maneerat thinking of changing to using agent. I explained carefully I was doing extensions based on retirement and needed extension. Clearly related that "yes no problem" slight catch is I needed them open BBL account. (I knew that) Have exact same tale with Bangkok agents that deal with CW. Enough.

OP, you ask very valid question. Has been asked few times in the main regarding new passport. DTV is a "special class of tourist visa" whatever that means. My advice is a guess not definitive. The analogy is regarding eg Non O sticker visa. When pp is obtained the Visa (sticker) is not transferred but rather details of that Visa will be entered into new pp.. If you have any business with immigration could you please seek clarification are report info to forum. Perhaps someone has been through the process and can advise..
