  1. Feel your pain. There is zillion posts with similar uncooperative landlords such as yours. Have you asked him for copy of his house book and signed copy of Thai ID . Your immigration office may accept your lease as enough. Which immigration office do you deal with
  2. Yes If you make appointment you will receive a confirmation email. Make hard copy of that. You can do that lower level (where the banks are) along with any photocopy requirements Appointment link https://bangkok.immigration.go.th/en/onlineservice-and-publicguide/
  3. This attached thread will cover some of your questions and I posted link for appointment (recommended). In that thread. If you have lease or TM30 take that along. As for getting there you can take BTS from Siam and then red line and finally short taxi or bike. Or taxi all the way. https://aseannow.com/topic/1297166-90-day-report/
  4. Yes it is. Now there are recently completed bts lines which has made more options available. Personally I drive so it's not too difficult. Where are you located.
  5. That's correct. For your first 90 day report you need to do in person or via mail. For your first report I would suggest doing it in person. CW has appointment option which is best idea. You can use an agent however ongoing suggest you learn to use online option. I use mail as it's bullet proof
  6. https://aseannow.com/topic/1130123-re-60-day-extension-to-visit-your-wife/ "or would my wife be allowed to transfer the money to my account to park it there while It's needed for the visa? " That will be fine. Also the funds need to be in bank account in your name only.
  7. OP, just looking from slightly different option.... You only need to make it till June 6 at which point you return to USA. Also you exit very soon (Feb 18) I realize your immigration office suggested you reenter with a tourist visa. That's a good idea however let's consider you just border bounce for a visa exempt entry. Which gives you 30 day stamp. You can extend that by 30 days. That takes you to approx April 16ish By that time you will be married. With proof of marriage you can obtain "60 day extension to visit wife" That provides you enough time till your return to states. You can do the non O based on marriage and extension next visit. That process can be done with visa exempt entry or tourist visa to obtain the non O inside Thailand OR obtain non O eVisa in the states. Also here is a thread that outlines process of enter Thailand visa exempt and obtain non O and subsequent 12 month extension. It also has other links. @Jsmith1282
  8. Second that and added bonus is Thai consulate Saigon very close to Bui Vien walking street. Anyone looking for very detailed OP of Savannakhet check this Thread...
  9. She is not obtaining an extension. Do nothing regards TM30
  10. The OP is wanting a multiple entry Non O based on marriage. That is a visa valid for 12 months and each entry grants a 90 day stay. That visa is NOT available at Thailand immigration. Needs to be applied for at a Thai consulate or embassy. The single entry non O can be obtained in Thailand from a visa exempt or tourist visa entry
  11. Read this thread.... https://aseannow.com/topic/1289254-laos-border-bounce-via-udon-thani-nong-khai-report-questions-hiccups/
  12. It's a border bounce. Not difficult. You have many options from Bangkok. Fly to Udon Thani airport and from there minivan or taxi to Nong Khai. Same back to UT airport. No requirement at friendship bridge to stay overnight. To do it in one day depends on flight times.
  13. That's the point. Also it's not like you won't be coming back to Thailand. It's very inconvenient to go home without keys etc but not end of the world. If you go that way suggest you fly to Saigon and chill for a bit then onto Europe from there.
  14. Question back... Why would you not obtain one in Savannakhet. Easiest consulate. https://aseannow.com/topic/1311768-multiple-non-o-marriage-visa-in-savannakhet-november-2023-report/
  15. Bit off topic however .... Did you ever consider looking into cost of sending some of your gear via post to Vietnam. How essential is the laptop. If required for work then that's an issue. House keys and other things you mention ..,banking cards etc etc Putting myself in your shoes and in say Saigon.....I could book + pay on my phone for flight to Oz. Once there have locksmith open home and provide new key. Off to bank for replacement cards etc.
  16. Left field question prior to addressing some of your questions in OP. For say next 12 months how many months do you plan to live in Thailand.
  17. Wife does not need to accompany you. The OP in this report covers requirements https://aseannow.com/topic/1311768-multiple-non-o-marriage-visa-in-savannakhet-november-2023-report/
  18. Don't follow. Yes keep all your money in Thai banks (joint account). Have ONE bank in your name only to transfer whatever amount as long as it's 65k+ baht. I transfer 120k baht every month. As soon as that hits the account it is transfered into Thai partner account. She then pays for everything using those funds.
  19. OP, extensions based on retirement must be in your name only. Some immigration offices may have accepted double the financial requirements for a joint account (many years ago) A better solution is to use income method. This has a bonus. Use the account in your name only for the 65k transfers every month. (I use WISE) then straight away transfer the money into either a joint account or account in wife's name. Basically the account for immigration purposes always has a minimal balance. If hit by a bus no money is tied up in a bank.
  20. Do I understand you correctly. You are returning to your passport country and thinking you need 6 months remaining validity on your passport for airline at departure? Answer: No
  21. I have those pictures. You are missing the point. There are no fast track lane in Zone 2 so folk such as wheelchair etc can use zones 1-3 and then back to Zone 2 (airside) for reentry permit desk. It's not meant to be an option for the average punter to use in lieu of the reentry desk in Zone 2.
  22. It should be no problem to enter Thailand via Savannakhet. Bus from Da Nang to Savannakhet is overnight ~ 11 and half hours
