Agree. I also travel a lot and note due date on cell phone calendar every time I reenter Thailand. Having stated that I have been forced to visit CW in person when online has left me in limbo (no reply). My bullet proof method is via mail. In my experience CW return my docs and even new blank TM47. In this thread the OP could have done both on same visit but explained for extension had wife and child with him. Didn't want to have them wait too long

Don't know what visa you are asking about. There is a METV (multi entry tourist visa). Can provide stay of almost 9 months. There is a SETV (single entry tourist visa). Can provide stay of up to 90 days with Extension. OP, you are referring to ME Non O (Multiple entry Non O) visa valid for 12 months? Edit: op seems your plan is to just keep obtaining non O single entry visa (misunderstood you) Is your plan to do this back to back ongoing?

No. When your METV was issued it has a validity period. The METV provides a 60 day permission of stay for each entry. That POS can also be extended by 30 days. Most folk with that visa do an exit/reentry just prior to expiry of visa. Good planning the METV provides stay of 9 months in Thailand. OP, suggest you check the stamp in your pp from most recent entry. Also check the eVisa. It will have an "until" date. This is what @Sheryl is referring to in replies

That's correct. CW were doing that around 2020/21 Of course some immigration offices do the TM47 as part of extension process. I suggested earlier to OP that he grab que ticket for the 90 report attend his appointment for extension. With any luck the io will do his report. If not he has a que ticket for report. All bit irrelevant as the OP has made appointment for the 90 Report on Thurs and going back Fri for extension.

If she is staying in a hotel and has a booking she can show that. Some folk that do not have a hotel booking just use company such as Agoda and book accommodation for few nights with fully refundable policy. "Pay at hotel" option even better.

She does not need a tourist visa but certainly an option if it can be applied for while in china She can enter Thailand visa exempt and obtain an 30 day extension.

To add to @Crossy post. She doesn't need to do anything once in Thailand as she will be stamped in for 30 days and as her stay is only 23 days does not need to apply for extension. Does not even need to concern herself with TM30 etc. Assume she has return/onward flight as airline at departure may want to see that

I understand your logic. For the record ...I once attended CW for extension and my report was overdue couple of days. The io noticed and started to deal with his computer with my last TM47 in hand. I stopped him and explained that I did it via mail and for him not to do it. Point is they can be helpful. The issue now is the doc check chicks now (last couple of years) check for TM47 receipt. Think your idea of going day early for report a good idea. Or if possible push back (few hours) your extension appointment and do the 90 report early same day

Let's put it this way.....the io at extension desk can do it. Will he/she do it is another matter. Suggest when you arrive at CW rather than go downstairs to do banking stuff...go to que desk and get ticket for TM47. After you take care of your extension check the que numbers in the 90 report desk area. If not big wait you can choose to wait or leave.

You need to provide more details of your entire trip to Asia. From what you so far have outlined you would not even require a visa. Enter Thailand visa exempt. Few days later visit Cambodia. Back to Thailand enter visa exempt. Obtain extension (30 days) to your exempt entry. Not suggesting that is best formula. Just showing that without complete itinerary hard to give best advice.

Thanks for report. Good to read TM30 was not asked for. That is also my experience. Re the TM47 receipt, think you will find that if it was not in your pp they would have asked for it. My last two extensions at CW they have asked for 90 day report receipt

Still means overstay. That stamp was 2 hours. Some have the word Lenient

Depending on her pp country ., Many folk are visa exempt to Vietnam. Having said that ......as others have suggested a one overstay is not a problem
