  1. DTV age requirement is 20+
  2. You have a TM47 receipt. It will have next "due date" for 90 day report. 90 report at most immigration offices sould not require a TM30. I did 90 report at CW Nov 5. No TM30. You can also opt to do 90 report via mail. BTW you are living in Thailand on extensions of permission of stay, not a non O visa.
  3. Have you looked into DTV recently introduced visa option. Are you 50 yr +
  4. Jomitien is the only joint I'm aware of that is asking for 2 months seasoning for application for a non O . (quite likely couple of others) The vast majority of immigration offices would only require funds in bank on date of application.. CW (Bangkok) day of application.
  5. Yes I posted days ago .,. "If DTV difficult for the OP then a non O with ongoing extensions is an option. If insufficient funds then use an agent" A non O with or without agent good option.. EDIT: DVD corrected to DTV
  6. Your non O-A is irrelevant for the friend. Also the agent would be assisting in obtaining a non O single entry visa that provides a 90 day stamp. The non O is first step. He would then be applying for 12 month extension based on support of Thai child. Note there is no such thing as "parent visa" Seems there was a mix up with home visit. Which immigration office? What stamp is currently in his passport? Visa exempt entry? Or...... Why wasn't he previously using extensions from a non O based on marriage
  7. He can apply at any point from his permission of stay stamp. His immigration office is Phuket so he can apply for extension up to 45 days prior to expiry
  8. You will not have satisfactory answer. It seems that in recent times immigration has attempted to sync TM30 with online reporting. One option is to ignore it. Which immigration office?
  9. Assumed so. Posting for others that planning similar pathway. For those without Thai bank account best option is to apply for non O prior to entering Thailand. With non O opening bank account is far more simple.
  10. So let's get this right. You don't even have online banking app to purchase "rent a ticket" You travel out of Thailand without credit/debit card
  11. No problem. Seems border crossing points are now making you use border run company or pay immigration directly. Disappointing
  12. @wiliamuk do you have a Thai bank account in your name only?
  13. Which crossing are you referring to. My post was Nong Khai specific
  14. With a tourist visa you will not be questioned.. To make you feel more comfortable I would have your Thai gf (soon wife) cell number. You can mention intention to marry if push comes to shove. It's won't. Chill.
  15. I posted ...."Last report from Tod was turn around bounce no issue at friendship bridge.." Thinking pretty clear Nong Khai that I was referring to.
  16. Thanks for first hand report. That's a game changer. The flight out was reported some time back was not consistent. Absolute rubbish from land border crossings
  17. Not criticizing you opting for tourist eVisa as flying visa exempt has added issue of possible required onward flight from airline at departure. However as posted above visa exempt is currently 60 days. This thread explains process from visa exempt to non O marriage. Entry tourist visa same process apart from using TM87 v TM86 https://aseannow.com/topic/1315828-visa-exempt-to-90-day-non-o-spouse-visa-conversion-in-thailand/
  18. No. @Tod Daniels any recent reports of border bounce Nong Khai?
  19. The only Non O you could obtain in UK is based on retirement. That would complicate your first extension. Could not do that based on marriage. Tourist visa provides 60 day stamp. Visa exempt entry the same. Both can be extended by 30 days. You can obtain a non O marriage from visa exempt and tourist visa entry at local Thai immigration office. You should obtain "freedom to marry" prior to coming to Thailand.
  20. I would put it differently. You have obtained what is required. Even your post couple above regarding payment options at embassy. Someone's else's fault. Check acceptable payment options prior and be prepared.
  21. Some offices use this form. https://www.immigration.go.th/en/?page_id=3202 Number 22. Folk need to be aware that their immigration office may require bank book and photocopies of pages back to last extension if using extensions retirement using money in bank method. Previously not listed on the form (attached screenshot). New requirement at CW.
  22. You can apply outside of Thailand at some Thai consulates/embassies. I posted in another thread of chat with young UK guy who obtained for DTV eVisa while in UK Took only 3 days (amazing) Easy for him as he actually does have a UK employer and his work is entirely online.. Have seen reports of obtaining at Vientiane. Agents in Thailand are offering packages (expensive) to assist with obtaining DTV mainly at Savannakhet. Those include the whole deal. Transport, hotel etc. Takes about 5 days.
  23. Be aware that the reentry permit can be obtained at your immigration office OR at airport day of departure. 3800b multi 1000b single Obviously your situation you require a multi. It's expiry will be same as permission of stay stamp you obtain from extension
