Visa Agent, Koh Samui, Surat Thani
DrJack54 replied to Aussie999's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
For your first extension you would have to show 12 months of transfers. 65k (minimum) That's not possible so the alternative is money in bank method or agent. Problem is even if you start monthly transfers straight away when you show them for next extension immigration will want to see bank records and at very least the 800k maintained for 3 months after date extension given. -

That looks like a border bounce/run company. Not what OP is looking for -
You are referring to visa exempt to non O based on retirement. You require 800k in Thai bank account in your name only on day of application Assume that you have Thai bank account. Here is thread that outlines the process. https://aseannow.com/topic/1311886-visa-exempt-to-retirement-extension-process-and-cost/

Visa Agent, Koh Samui, Surat Thani

Ignore people advising against agent. That's up to you. However the plan you outline will not work. Assume you Oz which means that you cannot supply embassy "income letter" . For extension based on marriage or retirement immigration want to see 12 months of transfers. When agent obtains your first extension the funds will not remain in account and so for your next (2nd) next extension you won't have bank book records to show immigration. To be clear , do you plan to start monthly transfers when you apply for the first extension (retirement) So currently not married to Thai? -

You plan on using own money in bank for the non O retirement? -
I'm jealous springs to mind. The fact that you genuinely have a company and can easily provide that side of the application paperwork made it simple. Guessing various agents will have a get around for that part for those that do not.

Might help if you specify what you need need from immigration. Example non O + extension etc etc. No personal experience with this mob but web page well set out... "Knight Visa Surat Thani provides visa services in Surat Thani (Koh Samui)" They obviously have phone contact along with Whatsapp and Line -

You could opt to leave transfer of stamps to new passport to when window for your 90 day report is open and do both at the same time in person -
Thai Bank Account - 800k deposit
DrJack54 replied to qwab32's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Regarding "address" ...I provided a rental contract and a TM30. First ever time I provided a TM30. I did that as this year seems to be more reports of immigration wanting that. I have never changed address, since you have you will require a TM30. I rent an apartment same joint for 12 years. I provided bank statements (12 months) using money in bank method retirement. I recommend making a small deposit on day of application. I obtained the bank statement and bank Letter the day prior to application. Did not supply most recent TM47 however that wanted one previous 2 years. Recommend making an appointment. Link for appointment https://bangkok.immigration.go.th/en/onlineservice-and-publicguide/ Posted this thread (not really comprehensive report just my experience last week https://aseannow.com/topic/1342654-extension-retirement-cw/ @TylerBKK have detailed report recently. Maybe overkill but usefull...... "1 - Form TM.7 Completed and Signed - 2 Pages - Front & Back 2 - One recent 4X6CM Photo Of Yourself – Attach to back side of form TM.7 3 - A letter from your bank certifying your current account balance. Letter to be issued and dated the same date as the day when applying for the extension of stay. 4 – Update passbook at the bank on the same day as applying for the extension of stay and create a photocopy of the updated account balance to give to Immigration. Also, photocopy the front page of passbook showing your name and account number and any photocopy all pages in between containing any deposits and withdrawals for the past 12 months. 5 – A certified (signed and stamped) bank statement issued by the bank for the 12 month period starting from the date that the last 1 year extension was applied for until present date. 6 – Photocopy of the first page of the passport and photocopies of all passport pages containing visas stamps and passport entry and exit stamps pertaining to the current visa. 7 - Copy of the current receipt from immigration for form TM.47 (90 day notification of residence address in Thailand). 8 – Hand drawn map showing directions to your residence. 9 - A single page form that only says "Statement" at the top (provided to you at immigration). 10 - A single page form entitled "ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF PERMIT OF TEMPORARY STAY IN THE KINGDOM OF THAILAND". (provided to you at immigration). 11 - A two page form entitled "The Acknowledgement of Penalties for A Visa Overstay" (provided to you at immigration). 12 - Copy of House Registration (if you have one). 13 – Copy of Pink Government ID Card (if you have one). *All of the above photocopied documents you submit need to also have your hand written signature somewhere on the photocopy (preferably in blue ink)." -
That's the best option, wait and see how it pans out. There is thread in Thai news forum discussing some aspects. https://aseannow.com/topic/1342476-destination-thailand-visa-dtv-success-faces-an-uncertain-future/

No. The agents that are assisting with DTV do packages that include transportation, accommodation etc etc (big bucks) and use consulates eg Savannakhet. Cannot be obtained in Thailand.

Point taken, however this forum unlike some others requires accurate advice. Continue your contributions as many are helpful. -

I certainly do not regard myself as you describe. Fact is you posted your experience re new passport. I have never read anything that mirrors that. As for my rejections for online reporting, that involves CW. From various reports over time it seems that online reporting at CW more problematic than some other offices. Recent report of approval in under 50 minutes regional office. Seems to me this is perhaps automatic approval. This thread is about online reporting. -
Immigration - totally useless
DrJack54 replied to Foxx's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
I came to Thailand in 2012 (first time) and remained. Have renewed passport twice. I never required a "border bounce" as it was/is not required. -
Good post. The points you make are valid. The 800k using money in bank method is a turn off. I decided to obtain another annual extension and did that Nov 5 In 12 months can assess what pans out with DTV. The uncertainty is why I didn't opt for DVT. My post at start of thread re young UK guy obtaining a DVT while back in UK eVisa with very simple process frankly made me jealous. Good news for him. The "once a year" you mention maybe not difficult for some. For those with limited mobility (me) .,to make longish walk to my bank day prior to application to obtain bank 12 month statement and bank letter followed next day to deal with trip to CW along with all things you need to do at immigration is difficult. CW for those that have never been there is HUGE. Also walk from carpark.

DrJack54 replied to Foxx's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Why would a border bounce be required. You could attend your local immigration office to transfer stamps. You could have even left it till 90 day report window open and done both at the same time. -
Thai Bank Account - 800k deposit
DrJack54 replied to qwab32's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
My reply was concerning overstay. Your stated.... "I did apply a little bit earlier , so I will only be 2 or 3 days past my expiry date , which they said if I was willing to pay a 500 baht a day fine , they will accept it." Fact is that you would be on overstay. Let's say 3 days overstay. They are giving you a break. For 3 days will be 1500b fine and an overstay stamp. -
There is pinned thread on this. 51 pages. Suggest search for information there. No. https://aseannow.com/topic/1328520-5-year-multiple-entry-dtv-visa-destination-thailand-from-2024-xx-xx/?do=getNewComment
