  1. https://aseannow.com/topic/1296230-child-going-overseas-without-mother/
  2. Out of interest....did you need to provide flight out of Thailand for the application process. Thinking longer the better. End of Feb?
  3. OP, simply travel with both passports. At some point attend immigration to transfer stamps and visa information. There is no rule on when this needs to be done.
  4. What should have occured is that you pointed to where the reentry permit was in your pp.
  5. So give me one example of "convenience" Stop being defensive. I have asked couple of posters for an example. Years ago my understanding is that pink ID was great asset for opening bank account, DTL etc. That's not the case now. So for last time how it as serious asset.
  6. Useful how Still waiting for example.. Please do not state TDL renewal open bank account etc as in current times it does not.
  7. Thankyou for conformation. So you agree 15 page thread about nothing. According to you ..... "Nobody said pink ID cards are necessary for anything, ...." In other words card of very little use.
  8. Nonthanburi are bit weird. Vaguely recall they dont provide certificate of residence. That could be incorrect however check it out what transport office require in Nonthanburi
  9. So you can't post one. Ridiculous. No it won't. I assist with license renewal.. Upcountry maybe. Bangkok no. Years ago perhaps. Finally a correct post.
  10. I'm so laughing now. You have stoked this thread from start to now. Such a needy posting. So to complete this rubbish.. Give me ONE serious example of How a pink ID would aid me. A guy on annual extensions based on retirement. 10+years Having a TDL. BTW best you obtain COR for your next license renewal. Pink ID won't help. Able to do everything I can think of. Just ONE example will do
  11. Very strange thread. The OP was just asking about the fact the application for non O retirement from Oz required insurance. Answer Yes. Alternative is to skip the non O and enter Thailand visa exempt or tourist visa. Morph into debate about insurance. That's an individual choice. End of.
  12. I could pick every one segmented parts of you post. ...all incorrect. Let's stick with this one. The reason Kasikorn opened a bank account is that you perhaps had ongoing annual extensions from perhaps a non O. I have done exactly the same with same bank. You state 5 years ago with Bangkok bank. Yellow book would not cut it today. All your posts above are rubbish. When you renew you TDL in Bangkok your pink card won't cut it. Previously it did. You will need a certificate of residence. I could go on but it's boring
  13. Dream on. Obviously haven't researched your options to live in Thailand. More options when you are 50. Guessing you are long way from that
  14. That was me. Yes it's possible. Every entry from METV while it's still valid provides a 60 day stamp. That stamp can be extended by 30 days. 6+3= approx 9 months The rest of your post is correct
  15. I don't see it that way. Debate over what. If someone wants a pink ID card then obtain one. It's not an exclusive group. If someone does not see any significant advantage is having a pink ID then fine. Topic DONE. To each their own. Just a puffing chest thread. So to be fair tell me how the card would help me living here for 10+ years Many that have been posted are rubbish. Please don't tell me ...renew TDL (dose not work) previously did. Deal with bank, domestic airline travel, etc etc My pp does the trick. I have purchased few properties...I used my pp. Open bank account ...won't even justify that nonsense with reply. Pink card of no use. Now requires COR So give me one example of when I need it.
  16. A 14 page thread about nothing really. Stoked by bickering and chit chat.
  17. You could consider a METV. Depends how long you wish to stay in Thailand.
  18. Until immigration refuses entry. In thread heading you state "as long as possible" If in home country you you could apply a METV. That would provide a stay of almost 9 months but does require to exit Thailand every 60 days. Can reenter via land or air straight away. You can also use SETV couple of times + couple of land border visa exempt entries. Allowed 2 per calendar year. Note: all these visa exempt and tourist visas can be extended by 30 days. You did flight to Vietnam for 30 day visa exempt entry. You could have gone to immigration office in Thailand for 30 day extension.
  19. Where are you flying to Thailand from? You could consider flight to Saigon to extend your time out of Thailand. Especially if you are visa exempt for Vietnam. Nice joint , then fly Saigon to CNX
  20. That's the problem. Nobody can be sure or state with any certainty that you will not have a problem . A visa helps but even that is no guarantee Also 2 overstays and yes have read the reasons in previous threads of yours. They are not a big concern. It's more collective time spent in Thailand along with time between visits. Don't recall a refused entry at CNX even with extensive history
  21. You often ask this question. With a SETV you should have a good chance. Without not good. Have a clear itinerary showing some initial accommodation bookings etc.
  22. Topic covered a zillion times. Reports almost every day of someone that states they were NOT asked for onward flight at departure by Airline..... Also reports of being asked for onward flight. Some routes (esp with low cost airlines) almost always required. So to your question answer "up to them"
  23. OP, one added note to above post. Be aware that while many immigration offices allow you to apply couple of weeks prior to expiry date of current permission of stay, some reports that Jomtien have asked some folk to wait till closer to expiry (few days)
