  1. As I guessed few posts above. The OP used an agent and hence required a new non O to start over
  2. That's why I posted earlier... "Some small things to tick off such as married in Thailand or Germany etc. " Done
  3. That should not have been necessary. Were your extensions (retirement) done using an agent?
  4. Good point. I assumed Thai wife from snippet in the OP "We will be in Buriram." Not many expats live there unless Thai wife but certainly a possibility otherwise.
  5. There are MANY threads re enter visa exempt and apply for the non O in Thailand from visa exempt entry. Some folk opt to enter with tourist visa especially when need to open bank account. You have that so great start. You require 400k in Thai bank on the day you apply for the non O. Rather than more detail I will add some threads that outline the process. Some small things to tick off such as married in Thailand or Germany etc. Regards the reentry permit it's 1000b for single. 3800b for multiple (no limit) Here is a thread and I added various links to other threads. It's not a difficult process. One caveat is Jomtien immigration.
  6. You can obtain a non O based on marriage to Thai national outside of Thailand. You can also also obtain a non O inside Thailand from visa exempt or tourist visa entry. You obtain a 12 month extension to the 90 day stamp from the non O. No police check or health, insurance etc. Those requirements are for non O-A (you don't want that visa. The non O is not multiple entry visa. After obtaining 12 month extension you buy a reentry permit. Do you have a Thai bank account in your name only.
  7. I can understand the printing requirement. The io at arrival airport checks it carefully. More easy to do checking pp against a A4 printout rather than random cell phones
  8. I once took the wrong approval letter to DMK and AirAsia staff at gate to board notice the incorrect date and printed it from my phone. Surely there is an office where you currently are (perhaps you hotel) that will assist Provide a tip. I wouldn't want to be going to airport and chasing up somewhere to print. BTW eVisa does not need to be colour
  9. Indeed. I actually make a deposit on day of application for extension. 1000b as that's minimum for Kasikorn FD account. At the same time the bank provides the bank letter which includes the deposit..
  10. He is using FD account. I have never provided bank statements for my FD account at CW.
  11. What exactly do you want to print. If for example an eVisa from mail on phone the airline would generally help. If it's for reentry permit (your other thread) immigration will do that 200b)
  12. Just to be clear what the "bank letter" is about..... The bank letter confirms you as the owner of the FD account and balance on day you obtain letter. The proof that the funds have been in the account for the year is demonstrated by the bank book (and photocopies of book pages) Most banks have auto rollover when maturity date arrives.
  13. That's what I was going to suggest. With a rental agreement, copy owners house book and signed identify card thinking they might do the TM30 or skip that.. Any reason for leaving it to last couple of days.
  14. The office is immediately past passport control. You can see the office from where you are stamped out. The cost is 1000b single and 3800b multi. For 200b they process the form with photo etc. Works a treat even when there are several people is line.
  15. Of course. Your current extension is based on retirement. However you have not maintained the financial requirements.
  16. OP (imo) you need to exit Thailand and obtain a new non O. In other words you need start over as you did not maintain the financial requirements for current extension. Also unless your embassy provides embassy income letter you would need to use money in bank method. You could chat with an agent to check out your options
  17. Personally I use two accounts (same bank) a FD and Savings account. I update both by making a deposit and have the bank print out the "bank letter" Note when I have outlined that with Extension Reports I always get replies from folk using FD account that they Do Not make a deposit into their account on day of application. The deposit I use for savings is 100b and for FD 1000b (minimum deposit for FD Kasikorn)
  18. You misunderstood my post Specifically where I stated ..... "Your account is very unusual given your history of travel to Thailand " I was meaning ... "Your STORY is very unusual given your history of travel to Thailand. FWIW...I don't have a lot of faith in the thread.
  19. Go do your own homework to come up to speed. Here is helping hand... Several others. https://aseannow.com/topic/1314632-how-true-is-this-rule-90-day-cumulative-stay-within-6-months/
  20. Not too sure if "9 or 10 years " is accurate.. However the back to back visa exempt entries with ongoing stay in Thailand had serious crackdown in 2018/19. Many refused entry at Bangkok airports for visa exempt entries ongoing. Even in recent times folk posting about fly out of Thailand and fly back visa exempt same day. Ridiculous.
  21. Accurate post however doubt some folk will acknowledge reality. The more common one is "more than 180 days in 360. Both nonsense. Rule #1 don't trust Thai consulate/embassy sites. Lot of poor information.
  22. Often it is ... As per this thread. Move along to the other posters that have pointed out the "rule" you quoted is out of date and a nonsense. Similar to the 180 per year. Won't reply again. Waste of time.
