Ho Chi Minh City for a single-entry Non-O (Thai spouse)
For me, I would obtain the bank statement from the bank (not download). Maybe the later would work but in similar applications all state "bank statement" As for hitting the ground running.. I think you can fill in and upload most things prior to travel and file application as soon as you are in Saigon. If that was a Monday you would think you would have in that week.

Non-O Retirement visa from Chicago US consular based on SS.
You will not be able to use income method in first year for 12 month extension. You would need to show 12 + monthly transfers of 65k (min)

Ho Chi Minh City for a single-entry Non-O (Thai spouse)
Yes totally irrelevant. You apply for eVisa everywhere now. In Vietnam payment can be made online unlike Laos. Process time should be less than 5 days. Personally have not seen recent report. Why not have all three. I suggested in your other thread that 3 month bank statement would be best. What's the issue with obtaining one. It's done on the spot at your bank. They can request extra docs. If they also want updated bank book then have that with you also.

New 90 Day Report Rules?
OP, sounds like he was fined for not doing a TM30. Yes the fine for late 90 report is 2k however you state he was not late. I assume by "proof of address" he had to do a TM30? The post is not clear.

Retirement visa
You are referring to a Non O (based on retirement) His best option is to obtain a Non O eVisa outside of Thailand. His own country or nearby country. After entering Thailand he will receive a 90 day stamp. He can attend immigration and obtain a "certificate of residence" With the Non O + COR he can/should be able to open bank account Current thread has advice.

Best option for "safe" entry at international airport?
He can't show you the rule because there isn't one. It would be very easy for Thailand to have stated rules in place. For some reason they opt not to.

Immigration appointment 18th July 2025 for first retirement 1 year extension visa
Makes sense. So apply for the 12 month extension along with your reentry permit. Which immigration office. Hopefully without a lease the TM30 will be sufficient. So currently you have a Non O?

Immigration appointment 18th July 2025 for first retirement 1 year extension visa
At BKK airport the reentry permit desk is Zone 2 left side of passport lines. Multi 3800 + 200b (service fee) = 4k

Immigration appointment 18th July 2025 for first retirement 1 year extension visa
If you obtain the reentry permit at immigration then all good. If you (for some reason) don't and need to obtain at the airport then come back to thread for detailed advice regards reentry permit at airport.

That is a must have. Note: you can now take a screenshot of booking slot. That will be accepted. @Wyabcp walk past queue desk and first L desk show your appointment printout and the doc check chicks will take your docs and put them in order. Also hand you few forms. Acknowledgement forms etc. You will then go to the appointment desks L33-34 area.

Non-O Retirement visa from Chicago US consular based on SS.
Simple eVisa application and as you point out the financial requirement is not an issue. Please post back report with process time etc after approval. Exactly same eVisa Non O retirement in AU recently 3 days. So quick process.

Indeed. For the 12 month extension the 800k will need to be in Thai bank for 2 months prior to application.

First 90 Day and funds are under 800k
Good for you. Why ask for advice if that's the case. Without strict financial compliance your next extension should be rejected and would at most immigration offices.

Immigration appointment 18th July 2025 for first retirement 1 year extension visa
It is the OP, s first extension and plans to show a three month bank statement (good plan) The actual bank book will definitely be required.. CW will want to see something that shows address. TM30 and/or Lease advisable. Immigration may accept google map however CW known to have you provide hand drawn map. The OP is providing hand drawn (good plan) OP here is a thread report. https://aseannow.com/topic/1359411-report-retirement-extension-cw-bank-method/

Sounds like DreamWorld. wont happen.

Is HSBC Thailand a qualifying bank to park my 800,000 baht?
Bit off topic however, be aware that CW no longer has an SCB branch there. Only relevant if you deal with that immigration office.

First 90 Day and funds are under 800k
Immigration will not check financial compliance for 90 day report. If you have not followed the financial requirements then for next extension either use an agent or exit Thailand. Suggest you don't just rock up and apply for another extension when it's due.

Non-O Retirement visa from Chicago US consular based on SS.
OP, your situation is clear. You need to deposit 800k (equivalent) into bank account and obtain a Non O retirement eVisa in the states. When you enter Thailand you will be stamped in for 90 days. In the last 30 days with the funds having been in the bank for min 2 months you can obtain 12 month extension. To change to income method (in the future) you would need to overlap both methods for one year. Then when you can show 12 months of transfees from abroad (65k min per month) then you could change to income method.

Timing of Initial Entry to Thailand on LTR Visa
Flame post and reply removed. Time for circuit breaker. Yes some Visas are issued with a future entry date. By way of example my often obtained tourist visas for Vietnam have an enter date well after date of application. eVisa applications for Thailand different.. The enter date is issue date. . Good points from @Caldera above

Immigration appointment 18th July 2025 for first retirement 1 year extension visa
Your list seems complete to me. The bank letter is best to obtain on day of application. It's a simple statement confirms you as owner of the account and balance on day of application. 100b Also do a small deposit. That updates bank book and shows activity on day of application. As for reentry permit.,yes TM8 also requires photo and basic photocopiers if pp You can obtain seamlessly at airport with a 200b fee and immigration do all.

800k Not In the Bank Method
I have discussed this with the main lady at CW. They can look back to the two months prior to last extension. Not always but can
