  1. You did not do enough research. As others have posted...ME Non O based on Thai spouse have been unavailable in most consulate/embassies. Think Penang etc also do not provide. Savannakhet does and is the go to consulate for that visa. Another option is to enter Thailand visa exempt and obtain non O based on marriage and subsequent extension. Buy multiple reentry permit
  2. IMO Saigon is best option. Very easy transport option to District 1 (tourist area) from airport. Thai consulate is easy to get to from Bui Vien area. Note that you would need appointment. Here is link https://booking.setmore.com/scheduleappointment/f8af2588-daa5-4e23-9bea-6b35c5e06758/services/1fd945a8-1937-43af-99b3-51b251017d1a Being Oz you require eVisa. No visa on arrival. The application is simple and $25 usd for 30 day tourist visa. Process time is 5 working days.
  3. It's referring to PERMANENT Resident status. Those guys do a different process for reentry permit.. You state .... "I thought that any stamped Re-entry Permit had its own validity tied to your permission to stay date?" That is correct. Very old thread but it outlines the difference https://aseannow.com/topic/677217-re-entry-visa-for-permanent-residence-holder/
  4. You could consider an appointment avoids any que.. https://www.immigration.go.th/?page_id=20131
  5. The bank letter and bank statement can be obtained prior to day of application. Think it's actually up to 7 days prior. As usual it depends on immigration office. Note some offices want to see activity in the account on day of application. This can be done with a small deposit or withdrawal on day of application. Any reason for obtaining letter early? OP you deal with HH. Here is thread with comments Hua Hin specific. https://aseannow.com/topic/1268902-advice-on-retirement-extension-hua-hin/
  6. Have read many of your needy threads. Find most pathetic. There is one way to change drinking alcohol habits and it's not a nicotine patch. It's as Nike states .."just do it" Posting drug issues on AseanNow is just attention seeking. Seek serious help and you may receive positive advice. If you post in health forum perhaps can obtain good direction from someone such as @Sheryl Think AseanNow also has sub forum in health "I drink too much" Check it out in lieu of attention threads.
  7. Pretty much rubbish as per ALL your needy threads.
  8. There are ~75 immigration offices. Korat not relevant. This question is often asked as per this attached thread. For the OP 400K for 3 weeks is perhaps 1500baht loss of opportunity cost. Trivial cost. https://aseannow.com/topic/1298009-money-in-bank-for-extension-based-on-marriage-minimum-must-be-kept-there-whilst-under-consideration/
  9. Making mental note to add this office to rogue office list. "Sitting on sofa photo" Ridiculous. Not as bad as for marriage extension "sitting on bed"
  10. Chill. Just do an online transfer from your home country to Thailand. Personally I use WISE and of course there are other options. You are worrying over nothing.
  11. Just asked the gf and she replied "that my favorite" Don't understand the OP. Give it a try. You are not buying a condo.. Just put toe in the water
  12. I find this interesting. So you applied 4th Sept and approved 19 days. That is 15 day wait. My most recent online at CW applied 14 days prior to due date. Waited several days and with no approval I cancelled and straight away submitted new application. Subsequently went to CW in person. I asked io "why no approved online" She replied "need wait 15 days" At other offices there are reports of very quick approval. Don't understand what's going on with CW.
  13. OP, here is a very detailed report however its 2 years old.... https://aseannow.com/topic/1224751-marriage-visa-extension-guide-chiang-mai/
  14. Don't bother with new pp. https://aseannow.com/topic/1243227-has-anyone-re-entered-thailand-after-expiration-of-a-dodgy-volunteer-visa/
  15. Leave the funds in the bank until you receive final stamp. Are you really concerned about the opportunity cost of that amount. Seriously.
  16. Wrong forum. "Visas to other countries" better match with threads such as this..... https://aseannow.com/topic/1248870-uk-visitor-visa-for-thai-girlfriend-experience/
  17. Here is a thread and also in that thread I posted link to ubonjoe post. "No age limit" However as posted in this thread a better option is non O retirement with subsequent extension. Does not prevent you from any studies.
  18. Even with embassy "income letter" immigration may/will require you to show few months (2-3) of transfers prior to application.
  19. My understanding is that passports are the property of issuing country. Yes that sounds crazy. You have no right to alter pp in any way. Suggest the OP visit where the new pp was issued.
  20. Do not cut/alter your old passport in anyway.
  21. In many cases has nothing to do with insufficient funds. However if it floats your boat to post boring opinion then by all means continue..
  22. Short thread here with good advice from BritTim. https://aseannow.com/topic/1288406-how-to-change-from-ed-visa-to-marriage-visa/
  23. Of course "Obviously" not Thai. Options available would include age etc .... given your similar thread asking about max age for ED visa that I posted above. Seems that you are asking about a Non ED. Just outline details.. Perhaps you will receive helpful advice. EDIT: just searching now to reply to unrelated thread here is another of your threads. https://aseannow.com/topic/1288406-how-to-change-from-ed-visa-to-marriage-visa/ You started a thread and replied ZERO.
  24. OP, your post is vague at best. What is nationality of the student. What language does the student use. You will not receive advice untill you clarify. Your other related thread
